Three Reasons why Everywhere may be Revealed at The Game Awards

Tomorrow the Game Awards are held, an event where it is presumed that up to 15 new titles from different companies will be revealed. One of these could be Build a Rocket Boy with its so enigmatic Everywhere Game. Here are 3 reasons why I think the title will be revealed at the event.

  1. Nestor's messages.

In September of this year, a user of the GTA House,, Nestor, published a post where some screenshots were shown showing the aforementioned, speaking with an important personality (although not very famous) from the world of video games. The conversation was about an RV, painted top to bottom in matte black, with the Everywhere logo. Suddenly, the person jumps in to say that the game will come out next year, or so he hopes. So if it comes from someone relatively close to the project, we can be a bit sure of its legitimacy. Here below I leave the post to give credits and more details (you may have to translate).

2. Transfer from Amazon Lumberyard to Unreal Engine.

More than a reason why I think the game will be revealed soon, this would come as a kind of "everybody, calm tf down." On November 13 of this year, in the Build a Rocket Boy News section, it was announced that the company had received a new round of investment and that they had made the decision to transfer the game so far made in Amazon Lumberyard, to Unreal Engine. Many people on here didn’t like those news, saying that this meant a delay of many months, even years. But doing some research I realized that a transition from one graphics engine to another is not that difficult. It can have it complications, but let's keep in mind that the BARB team is very veteran with Crytek Hungary (the creators of Crysis) involved, and that the maximum delay would be a few months.

3. Marketing.

I am not anywhere near a marketing expert, but I imagine that for a project as large as Everywhere, they need at least one year of marketing. They are not Need for Speed, they are not FIFA, they are not Call of Duty, they cannot release a trailer at E3 2021 and after 6 months, release the game. Let's face it, Everywhere is not known to anyone apart from a few thousand. And with the amount of money that has been invested in it, it needs to have millions of fans by the release date. You could have Respawn Entertainment as an argument with Apex Legends. Let's remember that their reveal was two days before the release, but let's also remember that they had Electronic Arts behind them, apart from hundreds of streamers to promote the game just when it came out.

In conclusion, if the title really comes out in 2021, or even in 2022, The Game Awards would be the perfect time to make a reveal, millions of people would be watching, and with a good trailer they could shake the world of video games.

I was really sceptical about this game. Maybe, it's to manage my expectations. If my expectations are low and the game is good, happy days.  It's quite amazing how we're into 2021 and nothing has been leaked so far. Well, nothing I know of.

If it's open-world, do you think we can expect the same level of detail as a GTA or RDR? I like to think so but it also depends on how much funding BARB get. I doubt they'll have Rockstar type of cash to fund it. However, I don't underestimate the power of a man that has a falling out with his previous employers and then wanting to show the world, what he can do in his own vision. That is a great motivator.

No. I wouldn't even think it's a stretch to say it's 100% dead certain that it's a no.

Build a Rocket Boy seemingly have both a good enough budget and the experience to put out a great game but their size, resources, budgets and frankly probably talent still pales in comparision to Rockstar. If you want an example of how hard it is to match Rockstar, CDPR had world class talent, hundreds of developers, a giant budget, years and years of dev time... and still fell mighty short. There is absolutely no reason to think Everywhere will compete with anything Rockstar puts out, though I do understand why people think it will, cause of Benzies, but he can't do the impossible.

Absolutely, that's why I'm not so hard on Mafia III and Cyberpunk when it comes to bugs and glitches. I said before that polished open-world games like RDR and GTA are the exception, not the rule, due to their size and complexity. . So, I'm completely with you on that.

My expectations aren't high but I expect the game, whatever it is, to at least be polished to a high standard. I can't see Benzies, even if for his ego, allowing his first "solo" project release to criticism of it being poorly optimized for buggy. Then again, anything can happen and with investors involved, it complicates matters.

Yea no there's no guarantees that Everywhere will be a good game... no guarantees at all when you look at how the studio has been formed, lot of outside investment, engine swap mid development... There's a lot of things here  that can easily and reasonably be seen as massive warning signs about the game. Couple that with their early talk that sounds like an ambitious attempt at some sort of new SP/MMO hybrid and you've got a cauldron stewing that is one f*ck up away from sludge.

I pretty much expect that it'll look and play like a very conventional video game come launch, and a far cry from some ambitious and innovative new game - or genre. Those games don't just happen when you have investors wanting a payout, it's too risky and too time consuming to develop, so they fall back on conventional design. Happens time and time again, even for established mega publishers.

Yes I trust Leslie, not long ago on the forums they said there were 130 devs and actually there were more than 400, I trust Leslie's organization

You can see it R * since he left, the lack of control was such that they had to use all the studios in one game

Build A Rocket Boy has some unbelievable talent behind it. Any time a developer is asked about the project you can't help but notice their face light up. They know it's going to change the gaming industry. I guarantee the week it comes out the game will have 350k concurrent viewers on Twitch. I feel a reveal on the horizon.

They started doing that with GTA V as production costs and time ramped to meet their increasing ambition, and also to meet the demands of next-gen console development where production costs were increasing. RDR2 is proof they do not "need" him, it's the best game they've ever done.

And 350k concurrent viewers on Twitch is one not much and two not particularly difficult if it's a well marketed game. It's a meaningless figure, really. Cyberpunk had over a million viewers at launch, Rust the other day had over a million and GTA V through FiveM modding averages half of that on any given day and will likely top it again soon due to a huge update coming to a popular modded server, streamers hyping something up and/or good marketing will get you views/viewers on various content platforms, it's by no means a measure of success, at least critically anywho.

No way they can meet the budget that Rockstar titles have (GTA, Red dead), so temper your expectations. I expect something smaller in scope but very refined.

1 the game has realistic graphics

2 the setting is not sci-fi or cyberpunk, it was a real world like gta

3 the scene took place in a movie theater, where Disney's soul was broadcast

I could see only a minute and the game is in third person

The weirdest thing is that you're talking a load of bollocks.

Our policy towards leaks is typically prove it or ban, I'm not sure why we should change it here.
