Imagine that your car is badly damaged, but the mod shop is far away, it would take forever to get to the mod shop, there should be an option called “repair car” in the vehicles tab in the Interaction menu, it shows the repair cost, after each use, there will be a cool down time of 3 minutes

My idea for a dlc title would be called Strangers

Basic synopsis is that our character can meet different npcs at the casino, Bolingbrook Penitentiary, Vinewood sign, nightclub or LSIA like when our character first came to Los Santos and many more places. This npc is represented on our map as either a question mark or the blue man figure like in GTA 4 or there will be a random text to our phones with a brief description and picture to find there location(kinda like the import/export vehicles location missions) Once we find a stranger, a cut scene starts.
This update will eventually allow us to utilize the feature to swap between single player characters and online character but instead it would be between our protégé(s) and main character instead of single player. We'd switch to them and our character is basically a contact for them. We can have up to three different apprentices working for us.
This mainly takes place in freemode but when you're a protege you won't know where players are and likewise they can't see you(except your character location is visible but they will be moved automatically to one of your garages/properties or perhaps another area to initiate a cut scene. However your protege only has 'one life' like single player and when you die or are arrested they will be sent to the hospital or police station respectively.
To unlock or to be able to use this feature you'd have to be at least a level 120 and have at least $2,000,000.00 cash on hand. They have their own sh*tty safe house and beater car. Since you could eventually have 3 apprentices/proteges they could have the same profession as you(criminal) or possibly work for Los Santos Customs and give you some kind of perk, could work at the golf course or a teller at Fleeca bank it could be almost limitless. You can only have up to three associates but you can keep picking and choosing who you'd like at any given time. For instance: You can contact one of them and select an option to terminate their employment(which basically means that you can't select them anymore, however if you wait a designated amount of time you could possibly run into them again but they may be hostile toward you or they would still like to work for you. Just depends) and if/when their employment is done you can then select another protege/apprentice from the strangers you've encountered.
Another perk is that IF you chose all criminal accomplices they would be able to do mission/heists and pretty much any GTA online related activity. Of course this is only "unlocked" once they've been leveled up high enough.(they are essentially 3 different characters for you) On second thought maybe this feature can only be accessed in solo or invite only lobbies because I'm worried about some kind of grifting(I think that's the right word when somebody kills you repeatedly) or glitching.

 

Was just thinking what it would be like if the strangers and freaks aspect came back and if they worked for you/with you. So here it is. Highly doubt this will even happen, at least I don't think it will happen till GTA online is on ps5 or the Xbox equivalent. But I'd still like to know if this sounds like its even possible or complete fantasy. And I'd very much like to hear what others suggestions or criticisms regarding this idea.

I want my character to be able to do anything I see the NPCs doing. ANYWHERE I CHOOSE.

I see what the NPCs do in the nightclub, the casino, the beach. Their "standing around" animation needs to be available to my character.

I want my character to act like a regular person.

My GTAO and RDR2O characters, are related. It would nice, to be have a "family" photo of our RDR2O characters in GTAO - something added to casino decorations.

AI heists crew members either I got 3 people and it takes forever to get a 4th, people join then quit, or I end up with idiots. I'd rather have AI's on my team.

My most wanted improvements to GTAO. 

  • Being able to have first aid kits, Bullshark testosterone in your inventory, even if it's just 5 of each.
  • Revisit the old heists so we may play them w/ only 2 people.
  • Coop public sessions, y'know, no griefing, etc. 
  • Rebalanced mission and heist pay 
  • Remove the homing missiles from the Oppressor Mk II 
  • Arena War boost (nitrous) on any vehicle 
  • Different handling types for vehicles (Similar to what we can do with the Smugglers Run planes)
  • Overhaul the vehicle class system, Instead have A, B, C, D, Mixed class. Let's be real, there are some cars that don't belong in Sports Classic, Super, etc.
  • More interaction menu animations, ability to sit on the ground, lean against your car, etc. 
  • Ability to hack ATM machines (outside the Securoserv thing) even if it were the equivalent of robbing a store. 
  • Oh, and the option to listen to music via your ingame phone. I really hate leaving the vehicle when Marvin Gaye is on.

another customizable assistant for nightclubs that do popularity automatically for another 300 to daily fees

gun safe actually saves loadouts in missions and heists

being able to open your apartment fridge and eat a prepared sandwich to regain full health

We need the ability to free climb. Not just in missions. Up structures you would be able to climb in real life such as poles, drainpipes, ropes, narrow structures, etc. And use movable items to climb and descend such as portable ladders, and ropes, cables, etc. And be able to anchor a rope and climb down from a location like a rooftop. And include lateral slides and ledge creeping.

Instead of bringing only one cargo to the warehouse on 3 or 2 cargo missions, why don’t we hold 2 or 3 them at the same time if we have a van or SUV, thats what the trunk feature Is used for other than just opening it on a sports car using the menu

Some simple yet useful features for improvement :

 

Instead of mashing every missions in contact missions, R* can organize it better with Last Play Mission, Dispatch, Repo or Casino Missions in phone category

 

Would be nice to have the option to disable weaponized vehicles in Heist/Contact Missions, like the difficulty settings...

I wish there was more incentive to use other vehicles than super cars and flying bikes. I don’t remember the last time I used a muscle car, cruiser or passenger plane in a mission. It also hurts Rockstar because who else would buy something like an SUV or van outside of role playing?

 

One way they could fix this is giving some vehicles special abilities. For example, giving larger vehicles the ability to hold more cargo or giving slow, quiet vehicles a temporary off the radar, or a lower chance to alert notoriety. I have a more in-depth plan for all vehicles and subclasses, but I think it’s too technical for an update; it would be more plausible in a new game with new code.

I'm making this post as a new user because I just wanted an avenue to talk about my GTA Online ideas, so sorry if this isn't the right thread. Anyway I had some ideas for rebalancing some of the weaponized vehicles.

 

This whole reply is under the assumption that tank meta should be restored. I think it's far more fun than flying bike meta, and it's harder to get spawn trapped because tanks are slow. So keep that in mind.

 

1. The nightclub vehicles should retain some but not all of their durability outside of their selling missions. For instance speedo should take 2 rockets, mule 4, pounder 8. All while maintaining the fact that these cannot be locked on to. It would add more readily available armored vehicles for PVP, and the more useable vehicles that aren't oppressor mk2s makes the game more fun

 

2. The oppressor mk2 should not be able to be called through MC Club menu if missiles are equipped. I think this is fairly self explanatory,it just stops the bike from being spammed so frequently in combat. The 5 minute cooldown can be removed if this is the case.

 

3. Certain vehicles should have jet missile tracking if they aren't fully locked. What I mean by this is that the oppressor mk2, scramjet, deluxo, vigilante, possibly more than that can spam missiles by rapid firing the fire button. What if the missiles would have the tracking of a jet missile if you did not wait for the missile to 100% finish beeping. maybe the ruiner could stay as is, because its very effective for dealing with griefers and fully loaded has a sizeable cooldown

 

4. Add research items that can counter missiles. For instance maybe there's some sort of thermal heat deflecting paint you could unlock which makes it so you can't be locked on to in specific vehicles. Maybe tanks could have this equipped and certain other armored vehicles such as the akula, or whatever.


5. The OG oppressor should have a bunker research for an improved boost. It would work a bit more like the arena war boosts where you can deactivate it after starting the boost, it lasts longer, plus this boost could be refueled by maybe doing tricks like flying upside down or whatever. When activating the boost it functions like a flare, and will disorient missiles coming at you. Seeing that the original oppressor cannot maneuver like the mk2 I feel that this would at least make them a bit on equal playing fields. The precision of the OG oppressor will never be at the point where you can be spawn trapped by one, plus relying on research would make this a little more rare, but I just feel that this would at least make those PVP oriented players consider this because it would be a little faster and a little more fun, and therefore shy away from spamming their mk2

 

6. Here's the most important thing however. All tank style vehicles, like the khanjali, rhino, APC, scarab, pounder would have new upgrades. In the case of the first 4 of these vehicles, the khanjali would be buffed to how the rhino was back in the day and the other tanks would be scaled accordingly to this, so like the rhino would be a little bit weaker than how it used to be but still way better than it is now, or the APC might be able to take like double the explosions it can now or something

 

I feel like this would cause for an increase in tank and jet usage, but due to the versatility of the mk2 and other vehicles they wouldn't just be phased out of the meta entirely, and that's what balance is about. You'd just have an even play style for multiple kinds of vehicles

Was thinking it be pretty cool if we could buy a VR headset in the game to use to revisit the PS2 era maps. Not sure what we'd do in it once there, but i'm sure Rockstar could think of ways to make the experience fun.

I would love it if they were able to just improve the enemy AI so that they could incorporate some proper stealth missions. All the ingredients are there, they just need NPCs to patrol properly and have a cone of vision that you can avoid, or you could sneak to avoid making a noise etc. I mean, they were able to incorporate better AI for sneaking about in the old PC classic “Commandos” series of games. It can’t be that hard.

 

The other thing that might be a nice addition would be the ability to do some acrobatics whilst skydiving, Point Break style. I seem to remember that pulling back on the stick when skydiving in Saints Row made the character do a backwards tuck tumble, something like that would be cool. Even if it were just a few moves that would be great i.e.

 

Backwards tuck somersault

Backwards "crucifix" somersault

Roll / Twist

Sit down

Lock hands with other skydivers etc

Custom lobby settings 

 

People were making custom lobbies by using a crew, an created website, changing Xbox settings that is required to go to a custom lobby, or mods. 
    I’m tired of this, it such a waste of time and money, there should be a custom lobby setting on the online tab where you can set the weather and day, traffic, pedestrians, police, enemies, max amount of players, enable guns, PVP, access to some non trespassing areas, and more. It can be accessed by public, Friends, or Private, it is recommended to set it to private so people won’t accidentally join a custom lobby

I just hope that many interactions with objects actually count towards something.

 

For example, drinking green juice and red wine boosts health. Drinking liquor slowly degrades health. Playing sport games and dancing boost health and running speed. 
 

iIt will add more meaning to the interactions.
