Yesterday I started thinking how cool it would be if all cars spawned naturally and when new cars were released we could only get them by stealing them off the street and respray + change plates. It sure would feel cool to all of a sudden see an NPC drive a Nero, and there’d be incentive to steal it... this is just a fun idea that struck me tho...

^^ Not sure how well it would practically work, but I DO love the spontaneity of the idea. GTA Online needs a massive dose of brief, spontaneous--even random--things.

 

Would love to see the LSPD occasionally patrolling the streets, instead of making sudden appearances out of the blue and then vanishing into thin air. Destroys the immersion, and their near-instant response would feel more plausible if you saw them patrolling the streets anyway.

 

Spontaneity is part of what I loved about the old robbable Armored Vans/Trucks, and Special Crate drops.

 

Please, Rockstar--bring them back with new code...

I'm surprised that GTA Online doesn't include collectibles like in V and older GTA games. It worked with the Double-Action Revolver hunt, now they need to add hidden collectibles for players to collect (and no, they don't need to be stolen by other players) and earn rewards such as a huge amount of cash and permanent discounts for select items such as cars, aircraft, facilities and hangars.

 

Sure we could do resupplies and deliveries, but what about finding hidden collectibles for substantially big rewards? I mean, they're harmless and are not as time-consuming as doing Daily Objectives or doing supply runs. We want a nostalgic feel to it.

 

Would love to see something like this--especially as the weapon pickups that Rockstar added to the game with Lowriders is nearing completion (90% found).

If we ever go to space, which is where Rockstar will eventually take us, it should be a series of missions where the endgame is to repair the Orbital Strike Cannon. A mysterious new enemy has taken control of it and threatens everyone a real doomsday, so Lester, Agent 14 and Rackman begs us to go up there and repair it, so we can dish some damage on the enemy.

 

I know this is jumping the shark, swimming next to it, getting in and out of his mouth and telling the tale, but Rockstar did a sub-par version of Battle Royale. What's to be expected of these guys? I wouldn't be too much of a fan of the idea of venturing into space on GTA Online, but if done right, it could have some great potential.

 

First off, a DLC like this needs like a good introductory backstory cutscene; the enemy revealing themselves by hacking the Orbital Strike network and threatening to attack key points if their demands aren't met. Then we get into the picture with Lester giving us the rundown on what's going on. Kidnapped into a top secret area, meeting on the facility, briefing on the IAA building... doesn't matter. Then, after some series of setups and "heists", we get to go to space using some kind of "SpaceX-like" tech to get there; remnants of Avon Hertz tech, maybe even including a cameo from a friendly Cliffford. We then go to the space station where the Orbital Strike Cannon main controls are at, discovering the controls were blocked, so we have to go to the cannon itself to do a manual override and destroy the enemy's base from up there. After that, we get miserably paid, but we get to keep some new toys... after we buy them.

 

 

Come to think of it, this has the makings of a new, different game. This doesn't seem to suit GTA V at all.

not really gameplay, but i love the low end apartment. it's by far the coolest for me from all those available. but i'd like it with no smoke, or less smoke inside. also why we can call at the same time a personal vehicle and a pegasus or CEO, and not an air vehicle and a personal vehicle

I like medium end apartments too. To riff off your point though, I wish they had windows you could see out of like the high end properties - Id probably buy one then

Oh, heres an idea. Since some Pegasus vehicles dont fit in our garages, it would be cool if we could store them in our hangars, that way we could customize them.

Yep freeroam needs refreshment. They could simply add new vehicles to freeroam (or replace the old ones) and give them different set of spawn colors

 

and add to that new npc behaviors and random encounters like in SP and we have a solid update with practically no effort at all

Another helpful tweak would be differentiating the HUD for helicopter missiles. Currently, both guided "Missiles" and "Homing Off" Missiles use the same targeting HUD (e.g. Buzzard's shown below):

 

What's odd is that (IIRC) this wasn't always the case--something got changed in an update somewhere along the line (not sure which one, but was a while ago). There used to be a different HUD target for each, which removed any guesswork as to which type of missile was selected at any time.

Muggers needs serious improvement. They should be faster and a bit more harder to kill than other enemy NPCs, especially when they should provide a faster vehicle in order to escape while the mugged player is down for a good amount of several seconds. Better yet, they should add the Assassins so they'd be completely unseen and be insta-killed by an invisible NPC sniper. Think of it this way; its a great way to make any trolls pissed off.

As a public "business" it could be a bounty hunting like spiel based on I/E. We track down a person with a Dead/alive price tag that varies per target. We bring them to our Sex Dungeon errr.... torture chamber.... errr prison... and then we have a "sell" mission where we have to escort the bounty/proof of person to a location. The business can be "raided" with a break out.

 

​Then they can smack an assverary mode where one team plays robbers in a fleeca/specific standard bank and the other plays the cops in a heist.

 

Yeah that could be a good idea. I don't see us becoming cops or anything like that BUT with out connections to IAA and Agent 14 we could start working for the government as secret agents (just like every other protagonist in SP stories). We basically already did that with Doomsday heist, Prison Brake and Humane Labs, right?

 

And we still have those unused IAA outfits - They might be for the dlc or adversary mode.

 

But it doesn't have to be related to IAA at all. We could be just bounty hunting like Trevor did:

And the best part is - all those animations are area already in the game! It's a "no effort dlc", something that R* rly loves.

there's no bugs thread. so i'll post my wish in the wishes thread. tha garage near the harbour is nice. but it has a big problem. i think you misunderstood the loading bay with the entrance. the garage has 2 entrances, but you chose the wrong one. as you can see on the pictures, the chosen entrance border is way too high, and totally unrealistic. with cars like faction it's almost impossible to enter. rear entrance would have been a much better choice

I have always about why not a premium mechanic delivery service so that we could call for vehicles similar to how we can do with MC bikes when MC president or member. Charge double instead of the basic one we pay now and provide this service..

 

Always wanted a truck racing with fully modded trucks with fancy wheels and liveries..

Hmm; Assassins would pretty much be an "Orbital Strike"; just less tacky sounding, and could be better implemented (could be done as a one-man Strike Team on steroids). I would much prefer it though over the Orbital Strike, which is nothing more than a quick GTA$-grab by R* at minimal effort on their end.

 

Muggers could stand to be resident in the map longer (i.e. not despawn so quickly)--could make for some interesting player vs. Mugger chases! I for one could go for that...

 

Mercs and Strike Teams need access to aircraft and boats so that they aren't shrugged off so easily by the player.

 

And I still think Airstrikes should give the player the option of marking the location with a flare gun, instead of just a flare--its current range is way too short to be practical.

Oh here's an idea that's been long overdue...turn signals.

 

Talk about scratching each other's back, I may be OCD, but having turn signals in video games with spastic NPC drivers will stop me grinding my teeth. I don't really care about players using it, but more like NPCs, so I won't mess up my whip fresh out of the car wash because some asshole decided to jump in the next lane at the last minute I'm pulling out.

Ive been thinking how cool it would be if R*, when making the next installment, would start from the ground up not by focusing so much on action game modes but instead on a truly functioning in-game economy. Mainly because right now its the least functioning thing - none of it makes any sense and it breaks immersion. It has this fake feel to it which is even worsened by the use of microtransactions.

 

So heres the idea:

 

Lets start with the brands. As we all know GTA has a large number of made up brands, for pretty much anything. So put them on a stock market. Make EVERY item bought by every player count towards that stock. Cars, clothes, weapons, accessories, ammo, snacks, food, apartments - everything.

 

Let players trade stock. Some brands will do better at times, others not. Also every item should be buyable, sellable AND stealable and sellable on a Black Market.

 

Players could choose to be thugs or police, and also go back and forth, until getting busted. Car warehouses would actually have you steal multiple copies of the same car, exchange the parts, plates, respray and sell on the black market.

 

Same as with drugs. The thought I have is to track everything economically-wise down to its necessary constituents. Like; you wanna cook meth? Ok, first you buy an empty storage, so you have a place to be. Now you need equipment. Do you steal it from a Legitimate Drug Company lab down by the Industrial District (difficult, risky) or do you buy it (expensive, raises suspicion with 5%).

 

Now you have the location and the equipment. You need chemicals. Rob a train? Sneak on board a freighter by the docks? Larger amounts would equal larger payout but also more difficult extraction (need cargobob for example). Also youd need a place to store larger amounts.

 

Youll need security. Also some money would go to bribes for paying off police officers and/or maybe other players. Youll also need staff wholl work for you. Better staff means Walther White means 98% pure product which raises its price, but hell want a good cut. Less capable staff=sh*ttier product.

 

You need to sell it - just like in real life you could chose to do it yourself or hire some other player wholl do it for you. You chose to either sell in bulk or in smaller quantities.

 

And most importantly, these drugs could also be bought in the end by players, being used by players to improve, say, stamina for example. So this really great meth I just made will have a player gain 10% plus movement speed. Or weapon draw time. Since its 98% pure itll also last considerably longer than a lesser product.

 

So the main gist is that the economy would be self sustained in a way. Since every product can be used, sold, stolen, destroyed, or maybe hidden away for future use, this would in turn make the economical wheels spin.

 

Remember I do realize all this is a lot to ask for and not an easy thing to create. But I really think that a game such as GTA has more to benefit from moving in this direction than Mememobile-freemode-deathmatch-all the time-type of setup.

 

There should of course be action still, just not the way it is now. Also just think of how cool it would be if there could be stock market crashes - certain commodities suddenly becoming insanely cheap WITHOUT any intervening force (looking at you, 10% rebates, 25% off all blabla).

 

Man would such a world feel fresh, alive, everchanging... ofc the developer would have to intervene at times if things got out of hand though.

 

The business of todays GTA are quite fun but they also feel ad-hoc, like one is constantly asking oneself Why do I do this? Whos paying me? Whos collecting these cars Im delivering?

The world Im suggesting would always have a buyer, a dealer, a user, a driver, a robber, etcetc, all doing their part in the hunt of the Almighty Dollar. And of course everyone could chose what role theyd want to play at any given time.

 

Yes I realize this is a dream. But whos to say you cant dream?

I don't know where it came from, but all of a sudden I just thought "This game would be much more fun if I had an M1 Garand." Maybe it's the sound it makes when you reload, or just the nostalgia, but I need that itch scratched bad.

I would like an hitchhiking animation. also i would like to have an autopilot on the buzzard, and the valkirie, to be able to use the copilot weapons. and yeah asian strippers with improved tits is an idea one can't disown. and again i also would really appreciate a civilian taxi stanier, as well as being able to air drop CEO crates on warehouses. we need powerboats too. i don't really care about a naval dlc. but i miss TBoGT smuggler a lot

i would really appreciate a CEO LS airport limo service. how will this work. very simple, exactly as the suicide except there's no suicide, and it will work only in LSIA area. when you land in plane at LSIA, you are far from everything. we definitely need this. and yeah turning signals, and being able to work for the police are goods ideas IMO too

I have Lombank West office and have recently started commuting to my Grapeseed bunker via Starling, which is very nice and totally gives me that whole ”commuting by jet”-luxurious vibe (if only the jet wouldnt be a WW2 german fighter, but whatevs, it’s FAST).

 

The Grapeseed airfield is very close to the bunker, and when I land in LS it’s usually along Vespucci beach, so again very close to the office. But transit-fares of some kind could be cool.
