For the version 3.4 it would be great if you:

-include some assets to buy generating an income and some associated missions like in Vice City and San Andreas

-create a mission where the player drives the Portland train like one of the jobs in San Andreas

-create a mission where the player drives and protects prostitutes like in San Andreas

-create a mission where the player enters some houses and steals some objects like in San Andreas + an option to change the timescale

I doubt these will be added as they require some heavy scripting in the game. The LC Team is trying to re-make the III World over Vice City Engine. They're going to keep the game as original as they can. If you want all those features, this probably isn't the mod for you.

Since they added the motos and helicopters they can keep adding other features from Vice City like the assets.

But they don't want to. If you want assets and minigames, you can always make them yourself and contribute them to the mod.

Since the time Vice City was released, it was always felt that III Engine needed functional Bikes and Helis. This mod uses the VC Engine to add those features. While Bikes and Helis add fun and ease, they don't make any changes to the gameplay experience or the script itself.

Learn how to mod and maybe make your own version or an unofficial mod for GTA LC. There have been numerous un-official mods in past. Also, there is a mod named GTA III: Unfinished Business which brings assets to GTA III.

The main point to take away is that no one gets paid to do anything here. We're all doing this whenever we feel like it. You have to accept rejections to feature requests at some point or learn how to make them yourself.

I think there are some CLEO tutorials around the forums. Not so sure. If anything, google is your friend :)

Then game will crash with the gta-lc.asi

@Craig, In older you fix the game crash just make the gta-lc.asi to gta-lc.dll like the XEPOMATH007 in LCS PC Beta 3.1.9 or yet?

It's recommended that you upgrade each file and don't exclude any individual ones. I'm certain that spaceeinstein did a few major bug fixes which require a SCM upgrade. It's always a nice idea to use updated files. Edited by Arrow

Update to pre-release 3 (last updated 2017-03-24)

This may be my last update to the game files before release if everything's all set. Some big changes:

  • Fixed inadvertent bug with Portland's car paths.
  • Motion blur/trails effect and menu option fully converted. lc_trails.asi is no longer needed and can be deleted.
  • Weather tint and weather table also fully converted. vc_weather.asi/cfg are no longer needed and can be deleted.
  • Overlay colors in intro scene and sniper scope seem to display perfectly.
  • Streetlight below Callahan Bridge positioned correctly though code.
  • Treadables hack modified so that if you're using TAG's limit adjuster it won't crash.
  • Custom data files renamed and now located in the data folder (lc_drawbackfaces.dat, lc_pacman.dat, lc_vehiclesfx.dat).
  • Leaf textures no longer need to be resized within particle.txd. It's resized within the code.
  • Source code: Renamed opcode 009F.

I don't see pacman or vehiclesfx in this archive, in fact, they're not in my game install at all anymore...

They're optional data files if you want to modify the data without modifying the source code. The release won't have them.

Hey Spaceeinstein!

 

In any case you will include the XBOX character models in the next release, would it be possible for you to include the following?

 

Mobile Claude Head

LCS Mobile Mickey and 8ball head textures

 

These would fit nicely with the XBOX ped models.

 

Also Sharptrails isn't compatible with this mod. Everything on the screen is cyan colored. Will it be compatible with this mod in the next release?

You need VC's (or old LC's) timecyc.dat for it to work. I modified that file to use III's colors for the weather tint.

I installed the update 3.4 over my updated 3.3 and I need to remove the GTAVC.WidescreenFix & GInputVC (both asi and ini) files so the game doesn't crash at the title screen. Unfortunately it always crashes when I try to start a new game.

3.4 is not designed to be installed over 3.3. It's designed to install over a clean VC game.

That may explain why mine has been crashing. Though I haven't had the chance to do anything to troubleshoot lately. Major drama going on in my life right now.

They sure ruined it for me a few weeks back. Fresh install and everything was sailing smooth. I wish modellingman were here to see all the progress you've made bud. :^:

@Evil-Empire man, read all posts about updates. For Mission bugs there is topic called Mission Coding. I played very old versions and I could finish storyline and even 100% each build.

 

Only problematic build was beta2 v5 which corrupt save after passing A drop in the Ocean.
