Im saying that how many people out there are going to pay for VC for the pc ? Im thinking about 1/4th of gamers. Everybody is going to download it. Rockstar is going to lose money really bad. I bought a PS2 basically because I got sick of waiting for the PC version, but guess what, I'm going to BUY the PC version too just to compare the two. If you get 40+ hours of gameplay like the PS2 version it's more than worth it, especally when there are games out there that are just, or even more expensive that you are lucky to sqeeze of 10-15 hours of gameplay. Let's lock this one too, just to pi$$off Delorean -- maybe he'll figure it out now. As and aside, who profits when you download a game instead of buy the retail version? No one does. I'm gonna by the PC version alright, but not to compare it with the PS2 version (which I do own), but to mod it! He is being serious you can download the beta I saw a popup recently with it on . Theres no way out of it - if you can afford to pay for the internet charge - most likely to be over 56k if you're willing to download a DVD size game - then you can afford to pay for 1 f*cking game. My friend is like this - he has thousands of pounds saved up from his job - and yet he gets cable - I think his parents pay for it - and he downloads films - even when I got them on DVD and offer to lend them to him. f*ckwit - like anyone else who does this. The only thing I download is music which I would otherwise not have bought - new interesting stuff which if it's good enough - I'll go out and buy more of it. As for companies losing money from people downloading things instead of buying them - well the movie industry doesn't really suffer - they might loose $20Billion, but they are making $200Billion anyway -so it doesn't make any difference to them. I'm not sure about computer game companies - because it might have more impact on them - but I think R* will be ok since they're making millions+millions from the gta series. If you do download the game and like it, I recommend that you go out and buy it to say "thanks" to the great gaming company: Rockstar. Oh sure, you can search all day for an ftp with each cd in one iso/rar/zip file or in some places you will have to download 164 rar files (isn't that fun?) That way you dont have to worry about accidentally getting a virus, not being able to patch it, and being called a warezer. If you buy it there are many plusses: tech support, a manual, a map, and lots lots more. So support your local gaming company and buy a game today! I havnt got a PS2 and i have being waiting for VC on the PC for months and months. I havnt even played the PS2 version at a friends house or even seen it being played. True, a bunch of people will try to get their hands on a pc copy of VC via shareware progz like Kazaa, but dont forget what else they'll get - tons of games that were labelled as VC, but werent (I went to download UT2k3, got Max Payne instead), countless trojans and other virus junk, and god knows what beyond that. The point im trying to make is that, even if you do successfully find a pc copy of vc online (Which could take forever in itself), you'll probably have downloaded dozens of other crap files that'll feck up your computer. So just be a good little gamer and buy your legit copy of Vice City at Wal Mart or whatever, stop thinking about the "what ifs", and start worrying about something worthwhile.
