  1. 1. Why do you play GTA Online?

    • Because I truly enjoy it.
    • Because all my friends play it.
    • Because I've invested too much time into it to quit now.
    • Because I've spent too much on cash cards to quit now.
    • Because I'm a masochist.
    • I really have no idea why I still play GTA Online.
  2. 2. Will you play GTA Online 2.0, if and when it comes out?

I'm just curious to know. Why do you play GTA Online? Do you really like the game, or is it because you're "stuck" with it now because you've spent too much time and/or money that you don't want to throw away?

Will you get involved with the next iteration of GTA Online, if and when it ever comes, or are you just going to ride the current version until its demise and walk away?

To play with crew and friends. I also enjoy the game, it's a well made game.

Only if it's not pay to win (sharkcards, micros) and if we can transfer all of our assests, levels and cash to GTAO 2.0.

I usually hop into GTAO when a friend asks me to. In other rare cases, I'm playing to sell a few cars, maybe do a few VIP missions, or I'm playing to be a very passive-aggressive annoyance in toying with people, but not killing them.

As for the next generation of GTAO, I'm going to see what direction R* takes with RDR2 online, possibly running GTAO into the ground before I decide on GTAO 2: Electric Boogaloo.

I play GTAO because I still have a bit of fun with it even though it's very frustrating with all the bugs and issues. It's pretty much the only car game with a decent open world.

I'll only play GTAO2 if the system is different to the current GTAO - I have absolutely no intention of ever going through the amount of grinding I had to do to get to where I am now again.

Yep. I'm actually holding off on RDR2 until we see what the online mode consists of.

If there are 10-horse stables, golden stage coaches that cost the equivalent of $100 real money, etc... count me out. I won't play the game at all if that's where Rockstar wants to go.

Well, I am addicted to it. Yes, I can admit that; I have something of an addictive personality and I've always found myself heavily addicted to playing GTA games. Despite all of my complaints, I do enjoy it very much--although I perhaps enjoyed it a bit more long ago. That's the thing with this game; when you find things that annoy you, it's comes off more as a disappointment and doesn't necessarily equate to disliking the game--just that you wish things were a bit different because your expectations are naturally very high.

Provided that it doesn't cost a fortune and life allows such when the time comes, I will absolutely get involved in whatever comes next--likely sooner rather than later. It's hard to say now what that will be, but if it consists of purchasing an entire new game, then yes, I will definitely buy it. I would also very much like to play a new story, so I am hoping that such is not discarded entirely; that would be a terrible move (in my opinion).

Love it. Never fails to please me. Yeah there's a load of bugs, but you get used to'em. Looking foward to the next installment of GTA Online, regardless whether we can transfer our existing progress.

I would however prefer if we could at least transfer our characters.

I'm really not sure why I'm still playing GTAO. I've never been an online player, this is the only game I've really played online. (So it's funny to me when players say "go back to COD").

I think it's because it's a great passive experience. I can do what I want. Killing players sure I love public freeroam, cooperative contact missions one of my favorites (disappointed with the players that suck but still join heists though), solo playing dress up or collecting vehicles, whatever I feel like doing I can jump into the activity.

Yes I will buy and play the next GTA. I've always loved the game even way back when it was top down. I've played and enjoyed most of them. Can't wait for what's next although I'm sure it will be quite awhile until we find out.

Same I do intend to play regardless if we can't transfer progress. In fact I'd rather not transfer my progress but transferring my character might be something I would do if available but.. for the most part i think it would be a completely new game with a completely new character and I'd be ok with that.

Even if the next story is based on a character we create that can be used online when we finish the story. Rockstar could go in so many directions and I'd still play I think.

I jump into GTA Online for 2 reasons.

#1: There are very few games out now that offer "Sandbox Mode" style co-op game modes.

At this point making money is not ever going to be a concern for me again, however I enjoy logging on to tackle Contact Missions, Heists, & Freeroam co-op activities with my GF, Friends, & even randoms. If I want to engage in PVP modes, I go to Halo or Call of Duty, but GTA Online really hits home for me when it comes to the times I want to log on & team up with 1-7 other players in a mission & such.

#2: Every day, a new form of idiocy is created in that gaming world.

GTA Online is one of the best places to see it unfold & to get a good laugh.

Yes I'll play the next game.

R* can either improve the next one significantly, or leave it as is, which the decision will define all future GTA games.

Why do you play GTA:O

Because ... Entertainment I guess. I could sit and get depressed about things, or I could just play games.

Will you play GTA:O 2.0

Probably. Depends if they learn from the mistakes they've made this time around, and if helicopters are worth using, and if it looks any good (also they better add the Hunter next time). Otherwise, I guess I'll just b*tch about the game instead. Or have something better to do by then, not sure.

Oh yes I still very much play because I love the game. My day 1 character could be accidentally deleted today and I would juat start up a new character and continue playing. Idk I just enjoy it.

And if/when the next GTA comes, I will be first in line at the midnight release to get my Collectors Edition and Limited Edition Strategy Guide as well as anything else that they might be selling.

I love GTA. I have loved all of them, and I can't wait for the next single player and Online version of it.

Until then I will be even more hyped for RDR2.

I'm kinda addicted, too. And as above, I don't hate the game, I just feel disappointed sometimes. Obivously, I love this game deep down inside, or else I wouldn't have let myself become addicted to it.

But yes, of course I'll move on to the next GTAO, or whatever you wanna call it. I mean, it's GTA, it's one of the only video games that I totally submerge myself into. I just hope it's a improvement over this version.

Yes, I really like the game. I haven't spend any money on the game, my bf bought it on Steam for me lol. Sadly he himself doesn't like it. But I would say that I'm somewhat throwing away my time because I keep playing it. :D

EDIT: Oh, and no shark cards either.

Where is my crystal ball? Nah, if nothing intervenes, I'll most likely take a look at GTAVI/GTA:O2.^^

I truly enjoy GTA Online. It has become, to me at least, the best arcade racer this gen, the ultimate virtual hangout, a photography escape, and a playground of real-time destruction. There is honestly nothing else like it out right now. It's the best $60 I have spent in years and THE reason to keep an online service subscription (on consoles at least).

I've invested hundreds of hours, but I wouldn't say I feel stuck or obligated. I hang with a close knit group and only one or two out of that group have gotten pulled into a crew that they feel obligated to support.

Will I play the next rendition of GTA online? While transferring my character isn't a must, it would probably guarantee my participation. I've grown attached to my second skin and it would be nice to settle into new scenery. If not, I would need to take a good look at Rockstar's plans before diving in. I'm afraid of the fresh start and how it could bring more free to play practices during the first crucial weeks and months, setting acceptance with the community.

I wouldn't want to start from scratch, that's for sure. Especially with all the time I put in to get what little bit I have. (compared to others)

I like the character transfer option, so as long as that's a thing.. I'm down.

If the next game has a Hunter I'm not sure I could resist buying it to be honest.

I love GTA Online because of the vast openness of the world. There's just so many different activities you can do. Now I do have Watch Dogs 2 and while I do like the unique, quirky multiplayer, it's nothing compared to GTA Online.

I truly enjoy it. GTAO has become the one and only "action" game I play. Most of my other gaming is in the form of strategy, management and simulation games on PC but when I'm in the mood for something more frenetic then GTAO scratches that itch for me so well and in so many ways that no other games in a similar vein are really required. Shooting, driving, fighting, flying, navigating, strategizing all done well (mostly) and all rolled into a single experience.

I'm sure I'll give GTAO2 a try. GTAO has plenty of flaws but I think that on the whole its improved immensely since 2013 and I hope whatever comes after learns from the experience.

36 people truly enjoy getting screwed over by Rockstar.

They don't owe us sh*t. The only people who are getting screwed over are PC players from what I can tell.. and that's because other players are doing it.

Eh, even if I wasn't affected by the poor anti-cheat I would still feel pretty screwed over considering how much money Rockstar's made from Online and how little of that seems to have gone into actually improving the game (not content wise, stability and balance wise).
