It's time to spend a little money.

Recommended Posts

Alright, guys (and possibly girls), round two of assisting me is in full effect.

I've made some pretty solid bank from starting up the whole CEO thing you guys told my out-of-the-loop ass about. I've managed to net a grand total of 4,173,481 in the past few days, and money isn't as hard to come across by any means now. So thanks for that! I appreciate the wise guidance from you good fellows.

But now, it's time to do just what the title says. Spend a little money.

I already have everything I need for my whole CEO gig, warehouse, office, all that jazz. Now I want to get a new car that I couldn't have ever dreamt of having when I purchased / fired up this new gen game out of pure nostalgia. The price of the car isn't a huge deal with customizations in mind, simply because I'm at level 29 now and I don't have access to all mods / customization as is. I would prefer to stick to around 2,000,000 and under though so then I have money for other things such as house utilities and fresh clothes. So enough rambling on about stuff, let's get down to business.

What's your pick for the best looking car? Performance aside, since as I stated before, I'm not interested in performance until I'm a high enough level to get turbos and the best gadgets for under the hood. Me and my few million are only interested in sheer aesthetic right now. Supers, sports, sports classics, whatever. Just tell me some cars you guys really find stunning and if you have pictures of your own, feel free to spice up this thread with some pictures of your creation. I just want a beautiful car I can feel like a boss in while I cruise around.

My garage: Ocelot Penetrator, Ocelot Jackal, Ocelot F620, Bati 801, Comet Retro Custom, Truffade Nero, Zirconium Stratum.

Cars I've been looking at: Pegassi Tempesta, Pegassi Reaper, Pfister 811, Enus Windsor, Declasse Mamba, Coquette Blackfin, Benefactor Stirling GT, Lampadati Casco, Lampadati Furore GT, Grotti Stinger (Topless or GT).

I'm looking at a lot of cars, I know. But that's Rockstar's fault for putting together so many awesome looking rides! anyways, help me decide please. The suspense of going into the unknown is killing me. Not as quickly as this guy with a Pug mask is, though.

I will give my recommendations and why.

1. progen itali gtb. 1.19 mil. 500k upgrade to custom but not necessary. I love the way it looks and drives although the rear end does like to kick out which is fun as hell but not too efficient in races. fast though

2. elegy retro custom. cosmetic mods galore. and fast! i can win races quite easily with this beast as its not only fast but loves to grip

I'm not a big fan of supercars in this game with only a handful of exceptions

Edited by Tomdon

The itali actually handles pretty well. I prefer the t20s handling personally but find them to be alike.

DONT get the 811 unless you are leaving it stock! Aweful cosmetic mods but otherwise fast on straights. Personally DONT like the handling

Tempesta/reapers look nice handle pretty decent not much for mods. But modestly priced

Honestly i would say wait for the spectre cuz well its sexy AF, or grab the itali decent price handles good decently fast and tons of mods or t20 (fast and handles good) basic but sometimes less is more

Please do not get the Itali GTB. It's suffering from new car syndrome.

Since you're on a budget try to at least have 1 mil left so you don't go completely broke. The Tempesta is extremely good for races and has very good customization. In fact the Tempesta is the second fastest super car around a track. How ever in your comments you said that you have a Nero. Why not go to Benny's and upgrade it to the Nero custom? In all honesty the Nero custom is a jack of all trades car. Great top speed, handling around a track, excellent customization and the upgrade won't hurt your bank account since you already have the Nero I assume. So yea check out Broughy1322 video on the Nero custom. The coquette blackfin and tempesta are also cars I feel that are extremely slept on sometimes too when in actuality they're both very competitive.

I don't like liveries. Especially on a car that's as pretty as the Nero. As I said above, I don't really care too much about performance right now. I'm not high enough level to be competitive in races yet. That being said, I did look at the Itali GTB a few minutes ago and I'm not impressed visually. It reminds me way too much of a Hot Wheel car, much like the X80.

Oh well either way the Nero custom still has a crap ton of customization that leaves much more to be satisfied with. Even better when you do rank up hopefully, those performance upgrades on it will be extremely pleasing and beneficial Btw you do know you can have a Nero custom without liveries right? Also yes please don;t waste your money on the Itali GTB. I personally hate the car performance wise but like many other and yourself included have said it doesn't look good  It really does look like a Hotwheels car you'd grab off a shelf at Walmart for a dollar. Me personally I just can't stand the fact of wasting money upgrading a car in to a slower piece of crap just to get more customization. Something R could've just added entirely from the get go. At least with the Nero it's gets a positive performance boost but let me just stop typing before I try to dwell into the logic of trying to understand R and their tactics because it's so ass backwards sometimes.

I like my Nero the way it is now. If I ever feel like making it the best it can be, which I don't really care about currently, then I'll make the upgrade. But for right now, I'm looking for a new car, so let's discuss that, shall we?

Although I know you've said you aren't interested in performance or customisation options at the moment, I'll still include that anyway, because why not?

Going through the list of cars,

Pegassi Tempesta - It's a fantastic-looking car, coupled with a decent amount of customisation and excellent performance. (quicker than the Nero and T20 around a track, it's even on pace with the X80 Proto) Highly recommended!

Pegassi Reaper - I'm a bit iffy on it to be honest, and it definitely wouldn't be my first pick. This one-and-a-half million will net you a mediocre car with mediocre customisation and mediocre performance. I suggest you wait until you have a lot of money to blow if you want to get this.

Pfister 811 - I personally like the 811. It might not exactly be the prettiest car, but I don't think it's bad. Customisation is not bad, performance is not great around a track, but one upside to this car is that it has the highest top speed of any land vehicle in the game. For $1.1 million, you have better options, but it's not the worst thing out there.

Enus Windsor - Great car, feels very luxurious. Obviously, performance and customisation are less than stellar, and it's a bit pricey for a coupe that isn't particularly amazing at anything, but what can you expect from a land yacht?

Declasse Mamba - Beautiful classic. People are very divided on the handling, which I wouldn't call bad, but definitely not something you can just throw around corners and expect not to smash against a lamp post. If you wouldn't mind trying to tame a wild bull on steroids, then I'd say you should give the Mamba a shot, because that's basically what it is. Customisation is basic, performance and price would be okay if it weren't for the Stirling GT.

Invetero Coquette BlackFin - Another fine classic, even if it isn't considered a sports classic. Customisation isn't anything special, performance was good once upon a time, before the Sabre Turbo Custom and Pisswasser Dominator attacked. For the price, it's pretty good.

Benefactor Stirling GT - Super fast, super fly, bona fide wise guy. Really, this car is terrific. For a million dollars you get a gorgeous classic which performance rivals even mid-class Sports cars such as the Coquette and Carbonizzare. Customisation is so-so, to be expected from a sports classic.

Lampadati Casco - Yet again, another beauty. Zero customisation, and performance that, again, would be fine if it weren't for the god incarnate Stirling GT. Pretty cheap compared to everything else here, though, so hey! I forgot this car was $680k, whoops!

Lampadati Furore GT - I certainly consider this a looker, but for everything else, it's hot garbage. Save your cash for something better.

Grotti Stinger (GT) - I think these two aren't bad, but I'm not a huge fan of the looks on either of them. No customisation, they are pretty slow compared to the other sports classics you've been eyeing, and both have the same performance. For the price? I'd say go for another classic.

So all in all, I think either the Tempesta or the Stirling GT is the best car in terms of aesthetics, and you should get one of them, or maybe both, if you can!

Also, the performance difference between the Nero and Nero Custom is extremely tiny, so there's not much point in upgrading it.

When I had 4 million I splurged on a carbonizaire. That was my best car for 6 months while I grinded the chit out of the game. Spending half your roll on a car is just wrong.

Thanks for your opinion on how to spend my own in-game money!

Thank you for your input! I actually appreciate this. So, Tempesta and Stirling are best options from that list. Is there any other really cool cars you would recommend that I might have overlooked? I'm looking for looks first, performance second. And since I already have two super cars, I don't really need a third, but if there's one that a car guru like yourself would advise me to spend my money on, I'd gladly take a look into it.

No problem, you asked a question and I gave you my honest answer.

It seems you have your mind made up so here is another answer....

With regard to handling, looks and performance, no other car has a better mix of all three than these -

>Casco

>Verlierer

Both these cars will still feel special at 4, 40 or 400 million.

Sounds like you could do with a sports classic, gorgeous cars and something missing from your collection.

Lots of nice ones, the Casco is classy, the Mamba and Stingers are pretty and a challenge to control if you like that, the Stirling is the best racer. If you're not that familiar with them all then try doing a few races to test them out, nice and straightforward and you'll make a few quid.

I can think of a few cars which I think look really good. Performance, on the other hand, varies.

The Elegy Retro Custom is an astonishingly good-looking car. Along with the plentiful amount of customisation options at Benny's and that it's one of the quickest cars in the Sports class, second to only the Elegy RH8 (which, to be honest, is a little bit unusual, considering that the Elegy Retro Custom is an 'upgrade' from the Elegy RH8), this is probably one of the best cars in the game for me.

The Bestia GTS is one car which I really love how it looks and drives. Average performance and customisation, with a fair price, and the looks are just stunning. However, the fact that it's a shooting brake can make or break the car for you.

The Schafter V12 is great. Looks and performs excellently for what it is; A four-door sedan that can hold a candle to most of the other cars in the Sports class around a track, with a top speed beating all of them, and even super cars. You can race it in the Sedans class as well, where it destroys absolutely everything. Customisation is decent, and you can change the colour of the interior. Also, super cheap!

The Seven-70, another remarkable sports car. I'm very fond of how it looks, and out of the three sports cars I've listed so far, this has the best performance, although there isn't a huge gap, I would say. Customisation isn't anything noteworthy, and the price is alright for what it is.

I think these four look dazzling, and suggest you take a look at them and see for yourself, if you haven't already. While the Bestia GTS, Schafter V12 and Seven-70 aren't top-tier by any means, they certainly aren't pushovers, either.

Another car I can recommend is the Tropos Rallye. Good looks, pop-up headlights, fair amount of customisation, pop-up headlights, great performance (...for a 70s sports car, that is), and pop-up headlights. I can't really say the price is a steal, but it's normal for sports classics, which is basically what this car is (except that it's actually in the Sports class).

I'm not sure if you're into muscle cars or lowriders, but the Dukes and the Tampa both look splendid, and the Voodoo Custom, Buccaneer Custom, and Slamvan Custom are all very nice, and each have their own sort of 'gimmick' that separates them from their un-Bennyfied counterpart (Voodoo Custom is clean, Buccaneer Custom has roof options, and Slamvan Custom isn't extremely slow). I'm undecided on the Virgo Classic Custom and Tornado Custom, which are quite pretty, but nothing very notable, simply because they don't have anything different from the basic Benny's lowrider customisation options. But then again, they are pretty, so I'll give them that.

The Dukes used to be one of the best muscle cars to use for racing, but it has long since been outshone (along with the rest of the class) by the Pisswasser Dominator and Sabre Turbo Custom. The Tampa was never very quick in the first place. Obviously, the lowriders won't be winning you any races any time soon (besides the Sabre Turbo Custom, but that's another story for another time).

I would recommend the Lynx solely due to its looks and customisation options alone, but that obscene price is preventing me from doing so. You might want to check it out, though, you may like it!

These cars are all lovely, I recommend the sports cars I've suggested the most, and the lowriders the least. I can't recommend any of them as much as I can recommend the Tempesta and the Stirling GT (well, maybe the Elegy Retro Custom), but I think you should still give them a shot!

Ronrollin9434

It depends on what you want your cars for. Honestly, I know very few people who buy cars for performance anymore. Get one supercar, mod it up and you'll be fine. Races are not won on speed alone, they require racing skills. You need to know how to maneuver, turns, brake, shift, etc. Also strategically knowing how to use slipstream, ramming other players etc. That all determines who wiins races more than "the fastest car". Even in free mode, I can catch up to people in a slower car because I'm better at maneuvering through heavy traffic.

I buy my cars based on looks and on how amazing the engines sound. That being said, I have a lot of garages and cars. But my real pride and joy is my garage full of classic cars and muscle cars.

Out of everything you're eying, I say go with:

- Tempesta

- Reaper

- Mamba

- Blackfin

- Stinger (and get the stinger in both topless and GT)

In addition to this, I'd recommend:

- Monroe

- Progen Tyrus

- Banshee 900R

- Carbonizzaire

A car that I really enjoy cruising in, and keep in mind that I have spent over a hundred million GTA$ on cars and that I have owned 5 Tempestas yesterday, that car is the Cognoscenti Cabrio.

I have pretty much never seen anyone drive it, it is a very luxurious and elegant car while still being sporty and really pleasant to drive.

It doesn't really have cosmetic modifications you can apply, but it already looks gorgeous.

If you're looking for style over performance, then I would suggest anything in the sports classics category. More specifically, I recommend the following:

  • Coquette Blackfin
  • Coquette Classic
  • Mamba
  • Stinger (Convertible for the most style points)
  • Casco

If you want something both quick & stylish I would 100% go for the regular topless Banshee.

The nero is a fantastic car that looks and performs great so I highly recommend that. Avoid the reaper like the plague. I'm not a fan of the performance or the looks but that's just what I think, the tempesta is much better.

There are a lot of fine cars that aren't expensive and that's why they are ignored by the unwashed masses.

Cheetah

Very fine looking car with good handling. This is how a Grotti should look, screw that ugly X80!

Vulcar Warrener

A lot of costumisation options here!

Peyote

Steal one of the premodified gang cars! The perfect car for cruising and role-playing.

Ruiner

Look out for the two pre-modified versions, waiting for you in front of LSC. A fast muscle car that is not hard to drive.

Canis Bodhi

Trevors Car. Trevor knows his stuff. So should you!

Pigalle

FWD, nice handling, nice engine sound, unique customisation options

Dubsta 6x6

Let's form a car pool and go to work!

Hot Rod Blazer

Let's dash through the wildlife sanctuary with style!
