Paisan™
Hey don't get me wrong, the Stories games are great fun and they are definitely classic titles BUT I was/am dissapointed with R* because they improved so much on San Andreas compared to 3 and Vice City and San Andreas had the most features, raising the bar to a whole new standard! R* could have made the Stories games better than what they were with all the features from San Andreas plus more! Here's a list of the features from III, VC & SA that they could have added to the Stories games: -Buying clothes -Being able to jump fences -Being able to swim forever on top of the water, and also being able to swim underwater -Aircraft in LCS because even though the LC is small, we can all admit that flying a plane in any GTA series is a lot of fun! -Being able to buy properties/assets -Being able to tune cars to your liking -Recruiting gang members (Although VCS has this) -Being able to MOVE while in free-aim -Being able to MOVE while running and attacking with a melee weapon -Wider rang of weapons -Improved mechanics -Being able to board or hi-jack trains -Garages repairing wrecks -Acquiring Girlfriends NOTE: ALL THE ORIGINAL FEATURES (E.G. CAR SALESMAN, EMPIRE BUILDING) WOULD STILL BE KEPT!! Thats all I can thing of. Any more? Edited January 9, 2017 by ClaudeIzABadAzz

universetwisters
Why would I want to hijack a train? It isn't like you can do much with it other than go forwards and backwards.
Viper-Mitch
There aren't even trains in Vice City, so ... hm. Not sure if that would be any kind of useful, and it's not like that city would need a train, would it. But it's an interesting topic for sure. universetwisters
Good points BUT you can jack a train in San Andreas so why not? Maybe the reason as to why you couldn't jack them in subsequent games should be a reminder as to how useless driving them is. It's fine to ride them and all, but there's literally nothing you can do with a train other than move it forwards and backwards. Just because it was in a previous game doesn't mean it has to be in all the ones after it. Ivan1997GTA
Nico
Is this another "hurr hurr all Gta gaims yuld jav te fetures of Gta Sa" thread? Let's not forget that these two games were never meant to sell as much as the triology games, because of their original platform. In fact, they didn't even met Rockstar's expectations for them, hence why they got released in PS2 later. Jimmy and universetwisters 2 Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs? Did you ever wonder... ...why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?
Jimmy
Apart from the Swimming feature in LCS, I don't think there's any feature which should have been there in any of those (LCS & VCS) Games. They had separate target audience like PSP. Integrating features like Clothes, Girlfriends or Modding cars would have required a lot of more feature integration. Rockstar didn't plan those features and made sure that the games sold as much as the Trilogy games at the same time. Stories exist for the purpose of telling more while adding less. thehambone, Ivan1997GTA, Flucado and 4 others 7 i5 10400F • MSI Z490-A PRO • XPG 16GB DDR4 3000MHz • MSI RX 570 4GB • NZXT H510 • Cooler Master MWE 650 V2

Honker1944
VCS: Be able to go on a date with Louise. I mean seriously by most of the story Vic done many things for her and confirm countless times that he love her and he can't go with her to Malibu or sth?! LCS:Maybe going on dates with Toshiko Kasen so she could get killed and Toni would have a real point to kill Massimo Torini instead of Sal bullsh*t. DragonpokeZ
LCS: Swimming, helicopters, somehow getting rid of those barriers at sea that don't let you pass in a boat in different parts of Liberty City, more outfits (perhaps more Mafia-like), car mods, and a storyline which had more emotion into it. I mean LCS is just a cold story about a Mafia guy rising up. Going on the storyline, some connection with San Andreas would've been very sick, maybe even a mission that took place in LS (idk if the PSP could handle that tho lol) VCS: TBH I didn't feel it explained much in Vice City. I feel like it only explained the Vance side of the story and stretching it a little how Diaz was the kingpin of VC and stuff. I would add a storyline where the Mafia is mentioned more, with more insight on Sonny Forelli's plans on Vice City and his possible connections to Lance Vance. Also something about how Diaz built up his empire, perhaps, and less of his neurotical impulses against electronics when things don't go his way
ElPatron036
LCS: -Driveable Aircraft -Swimming -Recruit the Leones -More Vehicles: BMX, Admiral, Greenwood, Savanna etc. -Gang Wars -Buying Clothes -Car Modding -Buying Houses and Properties -Luigi and Joey's appearance in the storyline. -Sicilian Mafia and the Liberty City Bikers in Freeroam. -A Latino/Mexican/Hispanic Radio Station and a Rock Radio Station. -Pimp/Prostitution Minigame -Hang out with your friends: (Salvatore Leone, Donald Love, Vincenzo Cilli (Until Hot Wheels), Leon McAffrey (Until Love on the Rocks), Maria Latore (Until Taken for a Ride), Toshiko Kasen (Until Cash in Kazuki's Chips), JD O'Toole (Until The Made Man), Mickey Hamfist, 8-Ball, Luigi and Joey.) VCS: -Buying Clothes -Gang Wars -Buying Houses and Properties -Ken Rosenberg, Kent Paul and Maccer's appearance in the game. (I also wanted Tommy and Sonny in the game, but they have a reason why they don't appear in Vice City Stories) -Date Louise (Unlocked after D.I.V.O.R.C.E and dateable until Light my Pire) -More Vehicles: Argento, Lobo, Excess, Stinger etc. -Car Modding -A Asian/Middle-Eastern Radio Station just like Radio Del Mundo -Asian Gangs -Appearance of that guy in the artwork, I mean the one with that Headband, and possibly Asian. -Hang out with Friends: Lance Vance, Ricardo Diaz, Phil Cassidy and Marty Jay Williams (Until D.I.V.O.R.C.E),

Vic will keep moving while you aim ye, but PSP has only one stick, how would you manually aim and move around? It's stupid that PS2 version got the PSP-ied controls tho. PS2 version should have that feature.
diogohilton
Kinda late to the party, and I don't want to get technical here, but LCS and VCS use the VC engine (because it's supported by the PSP), which doesn't allow the player to jump fences, have girlfriends, etc. R* already had to modify the VC engine a lot to make it fit the ideal LCS and VCS atmospheres, adding SA features to it would probably make it unable to be supported.
