Quick question. I noticed that i dont need to pay insurance if i destroy other players PVs and dont get a bad sport warning. Is this a CEO thing or im glitched or something? Thanks.

Yeah, I noticed that too, since Import/Export. Never had to pay once for my own nor for destroyed other players vehicles...

I thought it is fair if you are CEO to not get punished for defending your vehicle export or whatnot but I don't pay even when I'm not a CEO.

I was paying for all the noobs following me yesterday, when they found my prox mine.

You were probably playing during a freeroam event, or someone else's VIP work.

Nope, its not only during events or vip jobs. I dont need to pay even when nothing is happening

You don't always know something is happening, if you're doing export work for instance. Or if you hid them.

If you found a glitch then do investigate further :D

I take it your character has money?

Yep he has enought money to pay for insurance. I first noticed this when i was in a invite only lobby with a friend, i was CEO and put a rpg rocket into his Tempesta, for the lulz, and didint need to pay for it nor i got a bad sport warning. (Good thing is that he didint need to pay for it too.) We were alone and none of us started any kind of mission. Nothing changed when i got to a public lobby, blew up pvs and nothing happened. I can go on a rampage and wont pay a single dollar for insurance. Its actually pretty cool... :D

Tell me how... I very rarely get away with destroying cars without paying unless the person has a bounty on them.

Edit: In fact just yesterday I blew up a guy who was in a cargobob with a bounty on his head but still got charged $16k because he was carrying a car lol

on pc two days ago I was billed for crashing my own Drag Hakuchou into the Alamo Sea. I was asked to cough up 12000 for it via Mors Insurance. I was in Bikers mode, trying to get from my coke factory to my forgery factory and was looking for a boat to get to the other side faster. Just hit a bump along the shore and the bike landed miraculously in the sea.

It's been sporadic as of late, but roughly since the Bikers update, I've also not had to pay for insurance.

I'm on PS4, and have tested this a few times in invite only lobbies, pubs, and with or without a friend doing CEO crates or similar. Not sure what dictates it, but I've found a way to replicate it, it seems. It's not reliable, however, and seems to stop working at random.

I have to pay for my own PVs, but not others

FourFingersOfFun

On PC it is disabled so losers who pay real money to cheat can't force your character to rack up millions in false insurance charges in seconds

On console, certain events will disable insurance and as far as I'm aware insurance is still active on console.

Can confirm this. However, I had to pay for insurance when I destroyed someone elses PV with a Hydra.

When you do a job as a CEO, like executive search, you don't pay other people's insurance. Obviously, otherwise people would come after you in expensive cars and you'd have no defence.

But there's a bug at the moment - unable to start a VIP job because there's already a session-wide activity going on - when there's nothing running at all, and sometimes you're the only person in the lobby. So if the game thinks there's a job going on, you're not going to pay insurance.
