I'm very sure this is unintended by Rockstar, to give people money. I say that based simply by the fact that the first time it happened they didn't say until afterwards that it was a reward/treat.

 

No business ever rewards its customer without taking the opportunity to make a big pr thing out of it. If it was meant to be they would have told us on the newswire BEFORE it happened.

Just got the 250k on ps4. Its funny bcuz my guy is so rich, he buys n sells other ceo's lol. :lol: extreme high lvl also. I haven't done any type of money making in about 2 weeks though, so it could have something to do with it.

Bzzzt, wrong. When I get the reward it comes with its own splash screen. Says the money is to keep my business running. After that, I get the black screen that tells me about the money and requires pressing x to close.

 

I have millions anyways so the part about keeping my business going always makes me laugh.

But the splash screen (which I was talking about, so not the black screen) only came up AFTER people first started getting money. That is what I'm talking about when I say R* would advertise it first via the splash screen, newswire etc. If the splash screen came up before the black screen this time around, then it is the same splash screen that was put up after the first time people got cash.

um, me and my friend start playing GTAO as the pretty same time in PS3 days, and both of us transfered to PS4 afterward, both of us dont purchase shark cards within this year, 99% of time we play with each other. And he got the 250k while I dont, stretching my hand of this 250k is a mistake of r* or really a give away :O

Similar story, only replace PlayStation with XBox. My buddy got it, I haven't.

1 of my PC accounts got 250,000 but other accounts just receive nothing so far.

Got my second $250k from R* yesterday too... 1st random drop in as the first time it was announced and everyone got it too. Never gonna complain when the guys drop in more-or-less enough to tune a car, you know... Wonder if this is a new thing they're doing, cash incentives to play longer over the week/month? Hope so as it'll add up in my case... Lol... Love this game!!!
