Just got first 100k on this account. I only bought some clothes made two outfits and playtime is less than 2 hrs last week.

I thought my character was GTA rich at 150+ mil (waiting for R* to take about 50 mil back). Then I see this pic LMAO!!

@ idontknowhow... The lesser playtime will explain a lower tier bonus, been my thinking for a while now buddy... Free is free, yay...

 

@ HKM87... A good 2 or more months dude, started by getting $250k in late jan/early feb... Been weekly since, except the 1 week I didn't play, some have gotten 10+ times and its grown to $500k as the higher bonus now... I've had $2.5m myself, like ya said, its not needed as such, but I'd be a fool to say that amount now is insignificant, you know?... I got a free Shotaro basically... Sweet...

 

@ BlackMilk... Yeah, shark cards don't trigger this, I've had 10 times now, never considered buying one dude either... And reporting I'm fairly certain is not either, I and many don't/haven't for ages...

 

@ All... I've had different weeks doing different things as my main focus, some weeks, MC stuff, others, CEO, longer and shorter heisting and racing spells too, I've not done a single Adv. mode since unlocking the Shotaro... I've even deliberately broken the daily log in theory by having days off too...

 

The 2 most consistent things are...

 

Mailing list...

We all play fairly regular, longer hours per week, better bonuses...

 

Across my 2 accounts and my sons, we've had my main regularly plays, regularly get $250k, my part time account got $150k once, otherwise, just sales, and my son has had $200k twice not long a go...

 

To me: Sign up, just play 3 hours a night, maybe not every night, maybe a touch more on days off... You'll be set, may take a week or two to kick in, and no guarantees as it could all end tomorrow for all I know...

 

If we can just confirm those 2, I think it might help, most anything else is debatable more so...

 

Anyway, out of my bonus $2.5m, I bought a Shotaro... Free is free...

 

What did you spend your bonuses on guys?... Or is it saved for Gunrunning?

I just got 500k after 2 months of not getting any random 250k drops. I got the targeted sales in that time period instead. Didn't get the sales this week, though, so maybe the two are slightly linked? Or maybe I'm just lucky.

You you get one or the other as a bonus, we just aren't sure how to switch between them. I'm not even sure which is considered better. You get some pretty big discounts on the car one.

I play far more than my gf & her little sister.

They both logged in today & received $500,000 each.

So I just logged in......got nothing.

What I meant is:

You spend x amount of time in GTAO and y is the money you make.

When y divided by x drops below a certain number, you get awarded some compensation.

I just loaded up GTA Online and was greeted with a message saying that I have received $500,000. It didn't say why or anything. I've never received the $250,000 bonus that others have gotten the last several months. I play every day so I'm confused why today was different. I guess the GTA Gods have smiled upon me this day!

I got rewarded 250k just three days ago, and suddenly I got awarded another 500k. I'm not complaining, but I still don't get why.

Got that reward to on one of my old 2013 accounts. Now my character on it has 250k more added to his near 24 billion dollar bank account.

Holds more water than some theories, but still too many weird variables among all the players reporting it to narrow it down (unless there truly are multiple reward triggers).

That's all I did, I didn't purchase any new vehicle so it's not related to having new vehicles or owning the Yacht ..etc

Not to mention most of the time I spent is doing Vehicle Cargo, collecting vehicles and selling few vehicles with some friends.

I have only played two matches of the new Adv mode.

Six times for me, so that's 1.5M in total at 250k a shot.

 

I play a lot, most evenings, so that makes sense, but the most recent payout was after I got kicked back into single player due to a network error. I went online again and when I came back from the kitchen I had 250k splashed on the screen. That scrubs any theories about needing to be away for a few days or weeks.

Rockstar should give us 50K every time we destroy a jet with anything but a jet.

Could it be to do with the time of day you log in at?

 

Rockstar may be giving out bonus cash to say for example the first 1000 accounts to log in at 18:00 GMT.

 

If you're getting home from work/school at similar times everyday and therefore logging on at the same time regularly it could explain why certain people get multiple awards and others who log in at different times like myself have received nothing.

 

If the people getting the bonus add the time of day they log in at we can see if there is a pattern.

I consider the two $250k "rewards" I've received as unofficial apologies for this BS (among numerous other in-game trolling):

My play times are random, I do I/E, play new AMs, I don't grief, I don't troll, I don't mod or glitch... WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME ROCKSTAARARARARAA!!!!

I just hopped back into GTA Online after 11 days of abstinence and got rewarded 300k. Didnt buy any shark cards or whatsoever..
