Still nothing but shark card offers. f*ck off im not ever going to buy a shark card especially when i am never offered a free 200 to 250k. I dont play the game much but my friend who plays on average 18 hours of gta a day and is signed up has never gotten it either

Now had my 6th $250k. Granted I am on daily for a good 4-6 hours a day but I will take it. Now up to $96m legit with everything bought. Just help friends with crates and I/E now

Based on the recent past, it's clear R*'s "system(s)" are broken at best. Why? Some facts:

 

* Granted, R*'s hardware may not be able to "issue" 33+ million rewards all at once, but they have clearly failed to simply (and automatically) deliver rewards to *all* their players--even those in good standing, and who logged in multiple times. With as much detailed information and "power" at R*'s fingertips as they allegedly have, this points to serious issues within. It's pretty serious when a game company can't even successfully GIVE their own players money using their own system.

 

* A number of players with modded accounts who recently got their excess GTA$ wiped, ended up getting it all back; others haven't been touched. No logical explanation other than a borked system. And R* still refuses to take action against people who clearly broke the EULA, such as MrBossFTW (photo evidence below), simply because he's too visible, and it might hurt their Shark card sales (or general PR) if they did. Again, no other explanation.

 

* Add R*'s general history of unstable code (early code no longer "being touched" according to recent R* "f" leaker, since it would break too many things in-game), and their reputation for implementing unreliable bug fixes, and...

 

As driven as they are to promote Shark card sales, I seriously doubt that R* intended to hand out multiple chunks of GTA$ to the same players. So their reply of "it's random" is their way of saying "our system is randomly handing out GTA$, and we don't know how to fix it."

 

This may also explain why R* doesn't try and automatically ban players with unrealistic rank (i.e. 8000+)--they might have the info, but they simply don't trust their system to work reliably.

 

To some extent, GTA Online's overwhelming popularity is also contributing to its own logistical failure; sheer numbers of players in the tens of millions with a limited (and now apparently cut in half) staff to try and keep up with cheats, glitches, bugs, and ongoing new content is all contributing to the mess. Though Take Two should be hiring more staff to keep up with GTA Online's success, they're still making money hand over foot; so why bother?

f*ck off. Never bought a shark card and never will. I have had over 80 million for a year without having to buy a shark card by being frugal ever since i finished CMM and made sure i wouldnt drop below 10 mill in 2015. I just kept raising my min money amount every 10 mill i earned

 

No special in game sales and no free money so just f*ck off Rockstar.

I played every day more or less for a month or so, to hit my own bank balance target. Got it once.

Take Two is not responsible for hiring anyone at R*(except when adding additional studios), R* is hiring their own staff and distributing it accordingly to their projects.

The analytics systems behind GTA Online, are certainly not broken, while the game may seem rough around the edges on the surface, the backend is 90% relyable, we are talking about a multi million dollar company and millions of dollars pumped into analytics building and engineers solely for that task.

 

The money surges are distributed based on an algorythm which detects your game activity vs likelyhood of purchasing shark cards and multiple other factors.

The algorythm was crafted by the analytics team in order to experiment with player activity, shark card sales and other data.

I'm rank 508 and I've played the game to death over the last 3 months yet i've received f*ck all.

 

I'm not massively fussed about the money, I just wish Rockstar would explain why.
