I'm back! (And in need of guidance).

After not playing GTA Online / posting on here for a grand total of two years, I bought the game for PS4 Christmas week. I missed the fun times I had on PS3 with you guys from here as well as all the fun in general. Now I find myself baffled with all of the changes and new additions they brought in with the next gen. Keep in mind I haven't played since the Zentorno was brand new and heists weren't existent before reading the next portion of this likely long and boring post. What cars are the best for racing these days? Being that I was a huge racing nut back in the day, I want to be up to date on what to use and what I'm going to be up against once I'm ready for custom vehicle races again (I started an entirely new PSN once I got my PS4 being that I lost the password to my old account). I know OF the new cars, but I don't know ABOUT them. That being said, onto the next question. Which cars are the most aesthetically appealing in your opinion? Are some of the old cars from my day still the best looking, or have new ones wiped out the old? Which cars can I cruise around free roam in that will catch the eyes of the simpletons in their super cars with horribly contrasting paint jobs?

 

I've played some since buying the game and the only noteworthy cars I have now is my old Primo resurrected into a lowrider version of itself, one of my all time favorites (Benefactor Schaffer) that I stole from my NPC neighbor, a Bestia GTS because I adored the look of the car, and that's about it. I don't know which missions / heists pay out the best so I don't have a ton of funds now, roughly 70k which is leftover from a shark card. I'm below level 20 since I've done mostly nothing but free roam and the random job here and there, so any guidance about anything would be hugely appreciated. Welcome back. With 70k ur gonna need to grind "The Los Santos Connection" till you get 1 mill. Then go into a private lobby, register as vip, and grind vip work till you hit arnd 3 mill. Then buy an office and a vehicle wharehouse. Then set your mtu to 800 in your network settings to ensure a private PUBLIC lobby. Grind vehicle cargo missions until your comfortable. Also stunt races are dbl $n rp right now. Stay away from heists unless they're all buddies. Other than that stay away from freeroam battles until your done making $, or you will lose money faster than you can grind. Most importantly Have Fun. Also yachts are useless, unless you got money to burn.

Well, I don't remember who you are, but man, you have a lot to catch up on. I would take it slow and learn about everything that you can.

 

The best cars for racing- There are a lot of threads about this, but most people refer back to Broughy1322's Youtube channel/videos. One of the few great GTA Youtubers out there. He has tested every car hundreds of times around a circut and has at least a pretty good general idea about what is fast and what isn't.

 

To have the best racing cars, be prepared to spend many millions of dollars. Aside from Muscle Class, you can still get by with the Dominator which you can steal for free.

 

Stunt Races are here now and are the primary type of races you will find. If you haven't checked them out, do so, some of them are pretty cool.

 

For money I would gather a team and start doing Heists first. You will need a high end apartment to start your own.

 

Best looking cars? Well I guess nowadays a lot of people like the cars that can be modded at Benny's.
