Are assisted and free aim targeting modes seperated?

I noticed today when I decided to give free aim - assisted a shot out of interest that it put me in a deathmatch I found on plain old free aim. Which struck me because maybe free aim - assisted and free aim are combined all throughout? I also noticed when viewing the different target modes that there are assisted aim - full and assisted aim - partial which both start with the words assisted so I'd assume those two are combined together as well but seperate from free aim targeting modes.

Freeaim - Assisted & Freeaim - Full are matchmaked with each other. Quite unfair...

Yeah, the free aim options are lumped together. They used to be seperate but many updates ago R* brought them together, probably in an attempt to populate the lobbies. Free aim-assisted should be deleted as an option in my opinion.

Especially considering people abusing the assist.

I use it because I like to play gta with a controller instead of a m/kb and the freeaim lobbies tend to be better to play in.
