The map was/still is attractive but i would prefer the tool all this was made with to be released than the map itself. You know what the sayin goes by "dont feed a man, teach them how to fish better"

 

If the map gets ever released, fine! I will be sure to download such impressive work but the tool is already impresive showing us of what it is capable of.

@GooD-NTS As we all know the PC port of GTA4 is horrifically optimized. To this day it's still not possible to maintain 60FPS with the draw distance sliders maxed. I was wondering if you'd noticed any performance issues with the map so far or does it look like the move to V's updated engine has smoothed out the issues?

When I was driving around Algonquin, it was stable 60 frames per second, I didn't test Extended Scaling Distance bar at full.

Meat, my PC Does run 60FPS maxed out, but GTA IV had some small performance issues here ans there, like GYA LCS

@_CP_ That's good to hear. I'm thoroughly looking forward to visiting Liberty City again. I am excite.

 

@BrownieBear Yeah, those issues are exactly what I'm referring to. One moment you're fine at 100+FPS then you turn a corner and suddenly you're at 30-40FPS. Happens very reliably in certain locations. Lowering the draw distances does resolve it though.

I am trying to convert the map by myself, but almost any map that comes from IV, crashes when it is converted to V, either 15 seconds ingame or getting closer to the map crashes without a reason.

 

I trying to get working maps erasing the collisions, change names, using a non-DLC load, a lot of methods, but good, in all my testings i only tried to convert total convertions like gostown,gta iv sa,(...) and the vanilla/original map.

 

But any way i am be waiting the release of this map anyway, good work as always.

It happen to me also when i was making Lookout Point from NFS Carbon to Offline, make sure you reset their pivots and reset the xform and then collapse all

Are you using YBN converted with fivem? If yes, then there you have your reason why game crashes

Someone else is already developing a san fierro map mod for V. Not sure where he's getting the model from tho.

Well, if you are talking about this http://gtaforums.com/topic/883676-indev-bay-area-hd-universe/page-1 map mod, it will be completely sort of do it yourself, so all textures and models to my knowledge is going to be new and some props maybe copied from GTA V. Watch Dogs 2 San Francisco map or any other map from another game cannot be shared due to the copyright issues. Of course it would be possible, if someone somehow could anonymously share the map online that Ubisoft won´t sue his ass(, if Ubisoft even care about that their game content is being shared without their permission). But the biggest problem would probably be on converting models and such. Thats why I´m eager to see Open IV team´s answer to better map converting/porting with this Liberty City in V mod tool thing, because with their tool it would be a lot easier to port/convert maps also from different games to GTA V. Of course, Watch Dogs 2 for instance, would probably need to be first converted same sort of format with GTA IV. So we would need another toolkit to do that, if there is any... :/

Author even said that for full working Liberty City we need to wait for OpenIv's project. LOL

 

For a map as detailed and as large as LC, even with just Broker, gameconfig modifications are required. With the one on gta5-mods.com, there are a bunch of missing objects around LS. I get this bug with the North Yankton DLC and San Fierro DLC.

Liberty City is coming in 2017, but not in the spring.

Not a great news, but many of you already suspect this, our Liberty City mod is delayed.

To make this crystal clear:

  • Mod is delayed because we currently do not have much time to spend on modding (and Liberty City is required a lot of time). We all have life outside of modding and sometimes it is just impossible to spend time on modding because we just do not have that time. Anyway we are trying to do something every day, so there is progress but not much as hoped.
  • We do not have any new technical issues that prevent or block progress.
  • We do not have any illegal issues (yet?)
  • When we announced our Liberty City mod back in January we didn’t know that we will not have much time, you can’t always predict what happens in your life and what not.
  • There is nothing you can do right now to speed up the release.
  • It is impossible to release current version of the mod.

Please be patient. I will not provide any estimates for release anymore, so you will not be disappointed.

Since the tool/mod is delayed, does it still mean that the first version will not have traffic and/or peds spawning as you stated a long time ago? Also, I don´t recall what was your stand on updating reflections on skyscrapers and updating the vegetation to current gen models? Will it be left for the community like the textures? I'm looking forward to your answer as the mod/tool itself ;)
