@_MK_, your logo's are nice but I gonna be honest with you. They are not unique and that green V makes it very obvious and a bit ugly.

Your last logo is really nice and subtle but then you see that little green which turns it off.

How about making the V logo more IV-like? The V logo more like roman letters/numbers and black with white outlines?

That would make it look better :p

Here's what the V logo would look like if you replaced the green with a solid black and removed the webbing. Could use some shading on the white edges to make the number appear 3D similar to the IV logo, and if you wanted too you could make the webbing style work, but I simply made it black to demonstrate what a IV style logo would be like.

Yeah i agree the green one is ugly as f*ck,but the main point of it was the idea but whatever here's the IV style logo:

Interesting info there.

I am guessing that another issue with it is converting the DLC map changes for people converting from EFLC? Are you guys just going to make it so it uses the original map, or are you going to make it so it uses the DLC map updates too? If you do plan on using the DLC maps, will they always be loaded by default, or are you going to try and make it so the map updates load when you enable the Online maps. I also guess that if you use the DLC Maps, you will probably use the TBOGT map by default. I remember from doing the EFLC Map Updates mod, that you will need stuff from e2_xref, as there is map stuff in there.

 

 

At this moment we tested our converter only with original IV. If you set a path to EFLC it will just convert the original map from it. We plan to add EFLC support more close to release when all other stuff in converter will be more or less done. Now I have some thoughts how EFLC support could be implemented, we can use one of the episodes as a main map, but I would like to combine stuff from another episode too, for example, it would be nice to have all interiors from both episodes available in V.

 

Also, have you guys tested the tool with my Graphical Bug Fix mod, and the TBOGT texture pack? Both mods modify shaders in a few of the map objects, and I'm hoping that it will not mess up your converter.

 

I think it is not an issue.

People are not gonna complain about the gta5 timecyc and shader over 4's cause its more beautiful. We definitely wanna see the whole city with minimal glitches like without the water problem... Also, expect some huge donations when the city functions like in 4's engine like bowling, hotdogs, restaurants, interiors and trains maybe even if not exactly like in 4.

Everything this mod includes will be in mods folder right? easy installation/uninstallation?

 

Where can we request/suggest new mods that y'all might be able to make? I wanted a program which reduces texture to like 75/50% that might help in sudden lags.

Maybe modify one of the unused weathers (is it possible to add a new weather.xml ?) for LC to fit it's grayish colorless environment with a script that will force that particular weather whenever you enter the premises of LC and gets the weather back to whatever you had it on when leaving the city.

Besides is it just me or LC looks more close than it should to LS ?

Please do me the favour and open a new thread for your logo stuff. I subscribed to this thread (email) to get news about the tool and 8 of 10 posts are about logos that nobody gonna use.

Also, I am wondering if they had to turn down the texture quality a notch. I remember the LC roads looking a little bit higher quality than that. I also noticed that the screens look edited.

I have Radeon HD 6950 on my PC, so that maybe a reason of not so good quality of textures.

Also, the screenshots was takes from video which was made in Rockstar Editor. And yes the color pallete was changed unintentionally while saving images in photoshop.

I will reupload images with original colors when we will have logo. Speaking about logo...

So, we need help from community in creating logo. The logo will be used in screenshots, videos, the converter itself, all this stuff.

The tricky part is, the full name of our mod is:

"OpenIV Team presents Liberty City in GRAND THEFT AUTO V"

Yep, that is the full name. It was kida inspaired by those esamples:

- I understand that putting the full name into logo is not always appropriate so you can always propose other options.

@GooD Correct me if I'm wrong,but those aren't logos,they're only used on covers for each product or at the start of a trailer and when announcing something new,stuff like that.

This should be done as a representation of the mod and the logo should be something else containing an actual logo instead of text used for opening page.

There's no need for "team" in the name, OpenIV name is self explanatory. And like I said in the previous page, Liberty Five is a good fitting name.

See? 24 characters instead of 46, and everyone who reads it will know what's the mod about.

Threw this together for you. Kept simple and following the GTA IV look. Bit of LC taxi yellow for some color. Few other composition and color options too.

I think it is not an issue.If you want both episodes, then convert from TBOGT. It has all of the interiors from TLAD as well. (Which have console quality textures unless the user installs my texture pack. However you should keep in mind that TBOGT has a few cut scene interiors from GTA IV disabled. Two of them I belive are Bernie Crane's apartment, and Pegorino's house. One of the files are overridden so they don't work. Will you guys address this?

Made this logo too but didn't develop it very far. Thought it might be worth including. Maybe as a poster/box art thing or something. Just a simple heavy block of text. Image is from IV but could be replicated in V possibly.
