I'm a fan of Spiderman since my childhood. I used to buy its comics. When I grew up, I could also watch it's Movies. It currently features the following movies :

Classic Set

1) Spiderman

2) Spiderman 2

3) Spiderman 3

Amazing Set

1) The Amazing Spiderman

2) The Amazing Spiderman 2

It was a comic series which gradually turned to a movie series. Is there anybody who's got interest in it :)?

The latest two movies are a disaster. I think that even old Sam Raimi Spider-man movies don't hold up today. They're so goofy.

The classic Spidey movies are definitely my favorite. I don't have any hate against TASM, I think they were okay, maybe a few things here and there that I wished were different but overall I liked them. Would've also liked to see a third movie bringing conclusion to the story too, guess it's too late for that now heh.

Spider-Man 3 is my least favorite one (out of the trilogy) and I understand the complaints about how Raimi handled Venom and all that stuff but I think it's important to know that the script of the movie has been altered a lot before filming, that Venom and the symbiote were the only options given to Raimi by Sony, and even by that, we were supposed to get a fourth movie featuring Venom in his full glory, which was again changed. It's also important to know that this movie has a ton of scenes, and important ones that were never featured in the final movie, and from what I remember they would have helped the progression of the story greatly.

I'm just saying this because a lot of people see SM3 as pretty much the worst movie of all time without knowing those facts, it wasn't as good as SM2 but it wasn't all that bad looking back at it now.

The Raimi Spider-Man movies were miles better, even the third one.

Sam Raimi made the best trilogy if you ask me. They were fun to watch. The was a certain interest chemistry between Tobey Maguire & Dunst that made the movie a hit. The fact that Tobey was good at goofing and crying made the movie even more interesting, The last 2 movies in The Amazing Spiderman title were a disaster. The only thing which kept them going was Andrew Garfield's popularity. They weren't even exclusive, even premiering on TV shortly after their release.

Personally, im more of a fan for the classic films, than the Amazing Spiderman ones, but I feel like as well as that, the suits are getting stranger and stranger...

Toby's Spiderman suit was the best (imo), and I feel like they started to ruin it with the Amazing Series, and with the brand new one seen in Captain America: Civil War, and in the upcoming: Homecoming, I feel like the newer suit is even worse.

What are they doing

Love the raimi films (except for spider man 3, that movie can burn for all I care) but my favorite movie so far has to be the amazing spider man 1, that movie I feel had the best representation of Peter Parker and spider man imo and I loved seeing Emma stone and Garfield interact onscreen

You tripping, maybe that would apply to the first movie, but Spiderman 2 and 3 hold up very well in technical terms, they just had the perfect balance between real actors and CGI during action scenes, unlike MCU's Spiderman, where Spiderman is on cgi ALL the f*cking time to the point you can't tell if you're watching a real superhero or an animation movie character, IMO.

Goofy is better than the modern Mavel quippy sh*t, gets on my nerves honestly. Raimi was having fun with it, especially with the third, emo Peter Parker deserves a spot in the Criterion Collection if you ask me.

On the topic of Spiderman: No Way Home Cameo, Andrew Garfield has already attested that his Spidey senses aren't tingling. Anyone who saw his recent appearance on the "Jimmy Fallon Show" must have seen the serious of memes in the series of "It's a PhotoShop". Garfield said he'd be open to a last-minute spot in the film which seems highly unlikely at this point. Closing on the fact that there won't be a multiverse cross over between Maguire, Garfield and Holland, the chances of the moving living upto of it's hype has been substantially reduced at this point.

Uh, I, really think that you underestimate just how often actors tend to lie, in particular regarding being in MCU projects. Besides, there’s, particular evidence of his involvement

Don't like how MCU spiderman hasn't had many NYC adventures. I get it that they're trying to do something new but there's plenty of Spiderman stories they could adapt.

I'm not massive on the Rami Spider-Man films mainly because I'm a slight comic snob and I don't find the Peter there a good portrayal of comic Peter at all, where as the MCU Peter is much more accurate. Sometimes a big screen reinvention of a character can work out (Star-Lord) and sometimes it can't (also Star-Lord lol), but yea I never really liked that version of Peter. Kevin Fiege's leaked emails to... I forget the name, but the woman in charge of the Sony Spider-Man films sorta hit the nail on the head for me.

Another reason I'm not massive on the pre-MCU Marvel stuff is (again, comic snob yo) is that I 100% think all these characters work best when they interact with each other and share a world. A huge thing about Peter's Spider-Man is that he's meant to be the best of them, but that doesn't work when he's the only hero in the world.

I just hope Marvel/Disney are able to get the full rights to Spiderman back at some point like Jason said they have access to multiple characters which can help tell a lot of Spiderman stories that Sony just wouldn't be able to do. Unfortunately Sony seems like they will never hand over Spiderman to Marvel/Disney.

It's crazy that after No Way home people are begging for The Amazing Spider Man 3 I thought people hated Andrew Garfield's movies and were terrible but then again I never watched them.

Garfield's movies being meh had nothing to do with Garfield, he (for me) was a better representation of comic book Peter/Spidey than Toby, but his films were just... meh. Not really bad, just meh.

Only way I’d love an Amazing Spider-Man 3 is if MarvelStudios is at the helm, and also if it abandons the ideas they (Sony) originally had for TASM3 (along with certain threads, like all that stuff concerning Peter’s parents)

Not massive on having multiple Spider-Man's getting their own solo films tbh. Think Garfield and Maguire (if either/both wanted to, and I imagine at least Garfield does) would be better suited to showing up in the multiverse stories. Perhaps in a few years, after the next film, they could do a proper Spider-Verse story that features them all + Miles, O'Hara, Spider-Pig, Noir, etc.

I'd be fine with Sony Spiderman existing on it's own.

I'm not, the majority of the Sony films were pretty bad, TASM 1 and 2, Spider-Man 3 vs Spider-Man 1-2. I'm not a massive fan of the original first two either tbh.

Venom's pretty bad too, just carried by Tom Hardy. The other spin offs they're putting out all look garbage as well.

IMO the best case scenario for the all the Spider-Man characters, heroes and villains, is to let Marvel handle them how they want.

The first one was quite bad IMO, while the second one was a significant improvement but still no quite there. The best thing about these movies was Garfield's performance as Spider-Man. I think he nailed it, though some people might disagree with me.
