Benefits from Offroad Tires

Does anybody have a list of the vehicles that benefit from having offroad tires?

Broughy's whole video here is useful, but he links information in the description.

The only "benefit" i saw is that your car will look truly RIDICULOUS with offroad tires if it is a street vehicle. I beat people with offroad tires all the time with slower vehicles. Yeah, you can take curbs easier, but you definitely lose traction.

The benefits of off road tires is driving offroad when they are on your car. Makes handling easier but car is slower on pavement.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that in this game.

Yes it does. Put offroad tires on anything in the snow right now and see the handling difference. Edited by mysteriousamg

That's not what he meant, talking about the way the game treats off road tires on things like curbs and whatnot.

Yeah imo it's just another disappointing side effect of the games mechanical systems at work. Same as constant wheelying being the way to go fastest on a bike.

I'll still stick with street tires on my street cars and tucking to go fast on my bike :p

It has been tested extensively. There is no difference in traction values between tire types.

LOL Your claim is vastly false against actual fast racers. LOL

There's none. :')

lol at people who still believe offroads change traction or anything. ANY tire has the same traction, period.

Some cars go over curbs more easily with offroads/tuners/muscles/lowriders, but that's it. Ever heard of the word "placebo"?

I still don´t get it , really.... why didn´t R* just fix this ? It just sucks having offroad tyres on supercars/sportscars...

There's nothing to be fixed. Besides, tuners/muscles/lowriders give pretty much the same result. Tuners can even make your car look like a proper racecar.

again a long dead horse....yes those are the cars that benefit from offroad tires and no, so far they have searched for, and indeed, the research into it has been extensive, they have not found any other way in which offroad tires do anything...no proof at all in both the coding and testing

Looooooool...actual fast racers. You're funny :)

So its the suspension thats slightly affected & not the traction? Would this also not make a supercar slightly more manageable on bumpy terrain? Not that it matters, or i'd ever try it.. Just interested. I honestly never knew changing tyre type made any physical difference at all I just assumed it was purely cosmetic..!

It's not the suspension as such, it's this:

they can fix it so that the "tyres cannot clip" , and that for all cars in the game ...

I know tuners give a certain advantage too but they are too small most of the time (and many of them are hideous , too)

Its funny that people think off road tires dont affect handling. When i put offroad tires on my karuma for pac standard getaway, it handles much easier than with street tires. The car does not lose control/ spin as easy without something like a cop car ramming it.

Placebo. Nothing changes on the kuruma.

Kuruma for psj though, facepalm.

In racing crew like NoDo it's a pain, everyone's using them. Disgusting.

You know, the thing is, i don't mind it, as long as they're on cars that actually benefit from them. But if i spot somebody who has offroads on something like an elegy, it's stupid.

Offroad tyres can be pretty sweet on the retro Elegy if you accessorise it to look like a rally car. Same for Sultan RS

If you're too lazy to watch Broughy's video,I hope this comforts you a little bit ;you can use Tuner,Lowrider or Muscle tires if you think off-road tires look hideous on a car. They're not as good as offroads on kerbs, but they won't be a hindrance like High-end tires.

Broughy's recent comment below that video.

The new super cars except the nero get a benefit from off roads. Nothing else does.

As a member of NoDo PC I barely ever see offroads anymore. Tuner Rally Master wheels on the other hand are insanely over-used and look disgusting on half the cars they're used on

As for the talk about offroads, you really won't notice much of a difference unless you race at a relatively high level and if you do you (should) know that offroads are terrible wheels for racing since they're so understeery. That said, very rarely do I take this into consideration, I just go for looks 95% of the time, as do most others in NoDo PC.

Yea when you like making 312,000 every 15 mins plus money from businesses and car warehouse.
