"I usually kiss the asses of those who buy microtransactions, can't resist the urge to brag that I also buy said microtransactions, and throw hissy-fits when people express disdain for my radically anti-consumer ideas."

Here, have a neat little summary to save the people from rolling their eyes too much while reading your post.

Only $100? Im not an idiot. Im not going to value ONE house in game when the WHOLE DAMN GAME was $60 and offered countless fun and purchasables in the single player mode. Thats what game companies need to start realizing, you have to start valuing single items in relation to the WHOLE purchase price of the game if they want the middle class consumer to buy in. We know what our money buys in the real world. What they are trying to do is sell you a doghouse for 200k when you bought your whole house for 150k.

Look how many of you are grateful for Shark card buyers like me. WE should dictate the economy, not you peasants.

[...]

WOW - that arrogance ...

of course you should have more rights in the game because you decide to pay real cash instead playing the game ...

of course only you have the solution to keep this game alive ...

and of course only you know the numbers of modders/money glitchers and shark card buyers

in fact this topic can be locked because you are not interested in any kind of discussion - you have your opinion, every body else is wrong and nothing can change that.

but ... as said before it's perfect as it is - things are expensive but affordable (long time goals/end game content) - you can buy or you can play - and there are much less modders/money glitchers and much more shark card buyers then you think you are knowing

You don't have to buy sharks buddy. I have made 10 million in the last 2 weeks, even if that was with grinding. Don't like shark prices? Play the game instead.

The solution to overpriced optional paywalls is not FORCED paywalls.

Oh I grind. I grinded all day yesterday on my off day. Im single, and in a position to grind endlessly if I wanted to, but Id be willing to throw reasonable cash at them to cut that grind down. And its players like me they are throwing money away from by the millions with their unreasonable shark card pricing because they adjust for the ridiculous glitching this game has seen. The way those guys find the most obscure way to glitch amazes me, but theyve made a youtube career on it, and now the good paying customer has to suffer. The ONLY answer is card locked content. DEAL WITH IT.

If that was the ONLY answer they wold have done it by now. The game is 3 years old. Nothings changing.

And the fact you think glitching is some huge problem is hilarious. A few thousand people use each glitch at most. Go look at youtube video views on them before they get patched. They are about 20k at most. That is literally nothing to R*. Most of them only get popular AFTER they have been fixed.

wow - you also have the ONLY answer to a question that has never been asked ...

I have no idea were customers have to suffer - I don't ... In fact I don't see any point in your suggestion except "I have money and want to have advantages because of it"

but anyways - Arrogance, Stupidity and close-mindedness is the only result of discussing with you - i'm out

This is just sad. Really, it is. Shark cards are an extra bit of income for Take Two, and so far, it's worked for them very well. Shark cards are optional to buy, and to lock content behind a shark card is by far the DUMBEST f*cking thing I've ever heard. How many games do you know off where you can buy online currency and receive exclusive content for it? I can't think of any. It's a bad business model and a quick way to piss off your customers.

If anything, Shark Cards should give you more cash for the price you pay. $100 for 8 mil? That's bullsh*t. The economy has inflated drastically over time, and shark cards have not been adjusted to these new prices. I could see where this would piss people off who have bought shark cards in the past, which may be why they have not adjusted shark card values. Easiest way to go about doing this would be to introduce another new card, maybe make it worth 16-20mil and make it cost $150? Would probably increase their profits more than anything.

Post a poll to gather opinions. If no one agrees with your opinion, get mad.

I never expected to win the Card policy idea, of course it wouldnt be loved compared to the free ride now.

Im honestly surprised about the snow hate among the few votes put in compared to thread views.

Nobody wants to spend $100 at one time on a GAME. I want great value for when I feel I have $10-$20 to throw away. Give me great value at that price point, maybe I feel like doing it again in 2-3 months. The small bites add up. Plunking down $50+ at once when I can go get another game at $60 is VERY off putting to the middle class player. And actually, Im not even middle class any more compared to current income requirements to not be in the poor ass class. And yet I still spend a little money here and there for DLC in games I love.

I haven't spent $100, and I've got endless cr*p I hardly even use. Tons of stuff.

At best, lower prices in general a bit, boost what cash cards give you a little. No paywall, no other incentives for buying cards, etc.

Why do you want Fee to Pay bullsh*t in a 60$ game? It's baffling that you are ASKING a developer to lock away content from paying customers just because a low portion of the players mod in money. Paid games should have NO microtransactions.

The inflated prices is NOT the cheater's fault. It is completely Rockstar's choice and they are choosing to make a bigger grind to make Shark Cards more appealing. Why would they set the same prices to Xbox One and PS4 which has little to no mods? Why not just stop being incompetent in banning and patching cheats?

As for the snow, don't know what it is about it but it takes me from running the game at a steady 60 FPS to having some areas that tank my FPS to an unplayable 30.

I cannot even begin to tell you how staggeringly arrogant an opinion that is. I'm almost lost for words that you've had the audacity to post something quite so toxic.

Almost.

Just gonna say this; I respect that it's an opinion and not fact (thank Christ) and you're entitled to your opinions, whatever they may be.

That being said;

Your opinion is not grounded in reality, does not make any sense financially for Rockstar and - most importantly - is not good for the game or its community. You came here with a poll and asked if people agreed with your ideas. The answer is overwhelmingly No, they do not. No, they do not want to be forking out money for Shark Card-locked content. No they do not want six weeks of snow.

And while there may be much worse ways of doing things - yes, i've played STO (for a long time), and i've seen their model; it's garbage, but what do you expect from a China-based MMO publisher? - there aren't many better ways of doing things. You don't get to have it all ways; adding more value into Shark Cards would just mean things becoming more expensive than they currently are. Locking stuff means players who can't buy Cards stop playing the game. Players not playing the game don't buy cards anyway, so revenue goes away. And it keeps going away until you're the only one left playing, OP, and Rockstar have long given up on updates because there aren't enough players playing to make it worth development costs. And that is not good for a game.

As far as the Snow goes, i'm very sorry you only got one day of snow this year (it's back this weekend, remember) but that doesn't mean you should be forcing six weeks of it on everyone else to compensate.

I'm gonna have to stop you right there, because at this point, I honestly think you're sh*t posting. Those who have glitched cash have not stolen any profit from Rockstar, as they would have never bought a shark card anyway. If they never planned to buy a shark card, how are they impacting profit? They aren't, it's probably time to get off the computer and stop trying to be a keyboard warrior.

GTA Online IS Free to Play. All the stuff your $60 earned you in single player didn't transfer to your online life. Basically you got an entirely new game with all thats been released by now in relation to assets you can own. Since the Online is free to play, you'd expect them to lockbox or demand money for it. Glitching has killed HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS in profit they could have made if everyone was honest and they offered a lot of in game wealth for much cheaper dollar prices.

No we didn't. GTA "Online" is simply GTA V's multiplayer; not a different game.

God, I thought this couldn't get any more stupid.

It's a bum idea. It failed. You may as well get over it.

I hate to tell you this, but I voted no, and I am not a glitcher. I grind missions all the time, just like you. I bought two Shark cards when Gamestop had a buy 1 get one free sale in November, and I used those when I had to start over both story mode and online mode on the PS4 due to incomplete information I was provided on the details of account transfers. I got two Great White cards for just $19.99. I bought back the 3 properties I owned, gathered my low end cars back for future customizing and that's it. I don't go crazy with the money like you are accusing people of doing. I've been doing online for 4-5 hours a day, and ranking up (I'm nearing level 20), and still have a million bucks left.

So your logic is extremely biased and judgemental, and now that your thread didn't pan out like you hoped with everyone giving you asspats and agreeing with you, you are now doing damage control and just trashing everyone who doesn't tell you what you want to hear.

Enjoy your ban for the new year.
