Megumi 1,356
In a few weeks the US will inaugurate it's new administrator, Donald Trump. After 8 years in office, has Barack Obama been a good President overall?

Not A Nice Person 4,283
Yes, he couldn't do everything, and the Republicans blocked him at every turn but he will be remembered 200 years from from now, I doubt Trump ever will...

Flachbau 16,683
It was a challenge for him to do much because of obstructionism, but I would say he's a good president. I love his family as I believe they're good role models. Very classy. Definitely an inspiration of mine.
ClaudeSpeed1911 3,523
Best one since Roosevelt. The guy shows that he cares about people. Offcourse he couldn't do many things but he tried and it shows. The only thing I could hold against him is the drones killing innocents. Still not worse than Bush's mistakes.
Gnocchi Flip Flops 26,328
Yeah. Unfortunately when he came to office all of Bush's problems became his and people blamed him for it all. I can understand maybe not liking him but all of the hate he gets is completely unwarranted. Now we have an orange peel in office and I'm betting this country is ridiculous enough to give him a second term. Edited December 27, 2016 by Scaglietti
Typhus 1,431
He did the best he could. A little too hawkish in regards to the Middle East - but a step up from a depraved sadist like GWB. It's very sad to see how his Presidency was so obstructed by his enemies, and how little he was able to accomplish. I doubt Trump will leave much of his legacy intact, but I hope history is kind to him - because Obama had the misfortune to inherit the Presidency from a madman and yield it to a buffoon. I would challenge any politician to leave much behind in such a climate.
ten-a-penny 7,357
I've lived through Bush, Obama, and now, Trump. Neither have no rights to stand in Obama's shadows. DTrumpser may prove me wrong, but Bush can't. To me, Obama is the best Western-Country President I've seen.

Of course Trump will be remembered, this election has been f*cking insane, not saying he'll be remembered for good or bad reasons, but he'll certainly be remembered.

Skeever 1,729
Given how Trump will likely undo his "legacy", I have to doubt he'll be remembered for much. To most people, he's the first black (well, mixed) President, the President that same-sex marriage was legalized under, and the guy who won a Nobel Peace Prize with the least amount of effort required, an achievement that I must applaud him for. I figure he'll fade into history mostly forgotten about, similar to Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford. There's also the fact that his successor is Donald J. Trump, champion of the people and hero of Western civilization, so that might overshadow his time in office just a little bit.

Shadowfennekin 17,809
He was better than Hillary and Trump combined could possibly be. But he was far from being the best..... Him becoming president was that start of the damn recent PC movement, and hopefully Trump being president kills it. Sick of everything being so "progressive"

That's up for debate, given his mother is a white woman born in Kansas, and his facial features are more akin to his mother's. Whatever floats your boat, though.
