That doesn't mean GTAO is down, it means Steam is down. The Steam version of the game needs RGSC to connect with Steam in order to start, that's why it doesn't work. Also, unlikely it's a DDoS, given that ALL Steam services are down, and Steam usually produces Terabits and Terabits of bandwidth when big releases come out, and it doesn't go down. Unlikely that some script kiddies have 10+ Tbps in their hands. Most likely an internal issue.

They are at adult age I bet. Some do it to bring awareness to network security. Others do it for the lolz.

Steam gets attacked during sales, it's no big deal. I think it was last year that they mixed up the accounts and I got a bunch of emails saying someone used my login information from 8 random countries (IP).

 

They'll fix it. But I think it's still bullsh*t that you have to start the GTAVLauncher through Steam.

For f*ck sake, I was going to check in on the newest Mod for the Gmod server that I'm a super admin in, so much for that, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, #LetsNotRepeatChristmas2k14.

like I posted in the other thread , everything works fine for me for some reasons ( me , and at least 20 ppl in my lobby) .....

even Steam is fine right here....

 

Maybe the attack hasn't hit Europe as bad as it has hit on the US.

Why would they hit Europe server banks, when they can hit the US ones and piss off a least half the US (way more people they can piss off here then in Europe), don't forget the US server bank is for the whole of North America, so they've pissed off over a half billion people just by DDoSing one server bank.

There is no purpose beyond attention seeking. Phantom Squad, Lizard Squad etc. are all the same; attention seeking children who happen to be good with scripts. They have no agenda, they have no demands beyond getting Retweets. In many ways, they have similarities with the Clickbait Youtubers, except they're slightly more annoying.

 

Are they adults? f*cking lol. Do real adults attention seek like this? I think not.

I seriously wonder what's with every wanna-be "hackers" trying to overload severs during Christmas times.

 

Is it because they're tired of living in their mom's dirty dark basement, surrounded by wrinkled junk snack wrappers and empty soda cans, and want some attention to escape the fact that they're failures in life? That's hilariously pathetic, they haven't done it the first time and they'll be forgotten within a week, they're all literally call themselves Squads for some reason.

 

Can't wait for next year's "Cocksucker Squad".

What would be a Christmas Eve without hackers taking down gaming servers? It's already a tradition.

 

*Takes down gaming servers to make people spend the holiday with their families, makes the dev team stay at work the whole day to fight the attack*

 

Glad my game is a physical copy and I have plenty of Origin and Uplay games, so whatever.
