Rockstar, we really need a shopping cart now.

Since the Heists update, no DLC cars have been added to Single Player (unless I'm mistaken). This is unfortunate, because Single Player is where I'd go to test fit wheels, body parts, and paint jobs on a car before spending the money in Online.

It's not at all likely that Rockstar will choose to put these new cars in Single Player, I feel like the least they could do is add a simple Shopping Cart system in mod shops.

Cars, and parts, are becoming increasingly pricey. I'll put it like this - to see what one wheel design looks like matched with a specific paint job, you could EASILY spend nearly $GTA 100,000, just to learn that it looks like ass and you don't want that wheel/paint combo. And not only do you NOT get a refund, but you don't even get to keep the items once you leave the garage - you have to purchase them again if you later decide you want either. That is BEYOND ridiculous.

A shopping cart is desperately needed now more than ever.

For those not following, here's how it works:

You pull into the mod shop. You can apply any paint, wheels, body parts, etc you wish and you are not charged a dime. When you finally have the body part/wheel/paint combo you like, you can do one of three things.

1. Scroll down and select "Check Out". This will charge your account for the current parts installed on your vehicle.

2. Scroll down and select "Empty Cart". This will remove all unpurchased parts from your vehicle and revert it to the state it was in when you pulled into the shop.

3. Back out of the menus until you're given a prompt: "Are you sure you want to exit? Parts not purchased will be removed. Yes/No"

It's a simple change.

But, I know, Rockstar is probably making a lot of Cash Card money off of people who spend hundreds of thousands of $GTA just trying out paint jobs. But the fact that you could buy every paint job or wheel in the shop, and the instant you leave the shop you no longer own those items, is just bullsh*t. So at the very least, the VERY least, Rockstar could allow us to test fit parts before committing to it.

You said it yourself - cash cards. It'll never happen with those in the game, unfortunately.

Good idea though, and best of luck to you.

I support 100%, but knowing them.. the only cart they'll get are shark cards in their stockings. Which won't lead them to doing so...

I honestly believed once upon a time that Rockstar was being fair with their microtransaction model... and I still think that they were, for a while. But the new DLC confirms that they're just milking it now. It wouldn't be so bad if the f*cking special vehicles weren't nerfed to hell, or if they could at least be used in Creator mode. I have lost faith in Rockstar, and am quickly beginning to despite them. i haven't bought an EA game in years, and I'd hate to miss out on Read Dead Redemption 2... so I'm really hoping Rockstar adjusts there approach a little.

Correct. Because people will fully mod & test them in single player and will hurt Rockstar's bottom line if they don't do it online. Unless you mod online only vehicles into SP on PC.

OT- yes I agree with this but since it's too logical and will, as I said, hurt their bottom line, never happening unfortunately.

And if you go to a newswire post and ask them about adding DLC vehicles into single player you'll get a lengthy temporary posting ban for so called "spam".

Totally for this idea.

I actually think that if it is doable for R* to implement without too many hickups, it shouldn't be a problem for them because there are a lot of people who would actually do an overhaul of their cars more often. I'd probably spend a few million on redoing some cars right away. I don't mind paying 100k for new paint, but won't for just trying out.

I saw them classify "u wot m8" as hate speech once. Don't remember which guy they did it to though; someone on here I think.

The last time they added vehicles to SP was i'll gotten gains part ii, not heists (aka the last update with new content on the old Gen)

I agree with you what you said and I think R* should gave us a option to check the paintjobs/repaints outside of LSC to see the reflections when it's sunny, rainy or it's night b4 you buy

Update: On the Heists update, it was the first time they don't added vehicles on SP

"Man, these kids in here got they super duper cars, helichoppies, rocket cars, money rims, and cell phones - in the damn game - taking Snappimactic pics with, and NOW they wanna come down here and take my shopping cart? Should've came with game already, for Online and SP. But, like you said, people spend a lot (I mean, A LOT, really) trying out colors and wheels, till they match them with the car.

This means, people getting poor, which means potential - but not certain - SharkCards customers.

This system isn't hard to implement, but may reduce their earnings=a risk=won't happen, unfortunately. An example, of today, is the Firework launcher, which is a lethal weapon in right hands, time-limited (you keep it, but you can't buy ammo when this special event is out = the rest of year), and still, you pay 12k for full ammo. C'mon, we are in Christmas, give us free ammo or at least, more cheap. A lot more. But instead, they keep trying to earn some money in everything they can. Too greedy IMHO.

Our point: Agreed. True, true, true. Let's make a Petition for...
R* point: Who cares? Go to Online, buy our Sharkcards and do what you want.

That's it.

Yeah, all about the money. I haven't played a lot of racing games in my life but I remember Need For Speed Underground 2 (one of my favourites) had a system like that. You select all the parts you want and customise the car to your liking but you don't make it permanent and pay until you're ready.

AND (I wanna add) you could OWN tuning parts like spoilers, skirts, bumpers etc and can replace them whenever you like (for free, if you purchased them before) in your Mod Shop (in the office or clubhouse).

With stuff like weapons I can sort of understand. You might think twice about going on a sticky bomb rampage when you gotta drop $5,000 to restock. In practice nobody cares, but the logic is at least reasonable.

great idea OP, surely this is something R* could easily implement too.

I agree, as well, except that Rockstar will have you register your Shopping Cart, for which you'll need at least one warehouse, an office, an assistant, four new outfits, and five new vehicles (three of which will be garbage), just so you can use it. Total investment cost into Shopping Cart: $8.5 million, and that's if you don't go for the Chrome Cart interior.
