It has been pretty good so far but one thing I'm disappointed in is that all my choices for season 1 and 2 meant nothing. Even though they advertise that the game adapts to your choices, I'd take that statement with a grain of salt. I enjoy the story and characters and don't go into it thinking, "I can't wait to make choices and see what happens in future seasons!" I learned not to be harmed by choices from Mass Effect, Pretty sh*t way to show Kenny/Jane though. Besides that and the length of the episodes I thoroughly enjoyed it. The choices can be very hard, like the final choice at the end of season 2. Not to spoil anything, but I did something I really didn't want to do, but I felt it was the only right thing to do. The new character is interesting, I decided to do an "asshole" playthrough of it though seeing as I did WD 1/2 that way my first times. PhoGarrett Posted February 4, 2017 Share Posted February 4, 2017 (edited) The way they handled Jane and Kenny's absence from "season 3" was such a kick to the balls to fans of the 2nd season that I don't think Telltale even cares anymore. They know that they have a niche market that'll cave in to buy their products without them having to try as hard as they can. Does TellTale not realize that three narratives branching off of your decisions from Season 2 to essentially create a Season 3, 4, and 5 would be ambitious and awesome if done right? Also, I thought the ending to episode 3 was kind of weak sauce. It's like it was pushed onto us, as an unnecessary cliffhanger. I was really pissed off when they didn't shoot Tripp. Guy's been getting on my nerves the last two episodes. Also, the clementine moments made me smile. It was just too damn cute. Jonesizzle Posted April 26, 2017 Share Posted April 26, 2017 I'm really like this season despite the episode length. god, I hope they don't kill off Clem and I sure as sh*t hope they don't let Katy survive a head on crash with a tanker... for it to explode. I disliked the relationship between Katy and Javi, it was forced but I guess I can understand why. Also Gabe is a little punk, really wish there was a 'smack him' option. Fallcreek Posted April 27, 2017 Share Posted April 27, 2017 Alright! This episode was actually pretty good! I was actually starting to doubt some of my decisions this time. Mainly when I helped to assist Lingard in his suicide. It played against the case I was trying to build against Joan, because he was well.. dead lol. Even now, I'm curious how it would've played out if he had lived? On top of that, I got Tripp shot knowing that Ava was going to live. Not sure how that's going to play out next episode. I genuinely did not expect anything to happen that happened in that episode. A few of them were complete "what the f*ck" moments. I love it though. Can't wait for episode 5. My only exposure is through the Telltale games. I'm currently playing A New Frontier and I have (what I think is funny) an anecdote from lastnight. I had to interact with a character named Tripp. Yup. Heck, even if it was a 2 p Trip I still felt a connection...a brotherhood. The problem is I tailered all of my dialog responses to make if better for my namesake. They may have even been the wrong dialog choices but because they involved Tripp I couldn't be negative by any stretch. I probably f*cked up my whole game because I was soft towards a character only because we have the same name. If you enjoy Telltale's take on the walking dead, then I would definitely recommend checking out the comics.
