In title I meant good specs, bad fps*

Hey,

so a year ago when I played SAMP I usually had 100 FPS everywhere & at crowded places like 65-90.

But now a year later I barely get 40 FPS at Idlewood gas station. Don't ask me how.

CPU:

Intel i5

2.67 GHz

4.0 GB RAM

GPU:

Nvidia GT NVS 3100M

Max resolution: 1440x900

Resolution I play on SAMP: 1280x800.

Yes frame limiter is OFF no need to ask me & ask if I'm sure.

The laptop might be filled with dust and other gunk causing thermal throttling or it might be malware and other crap slowing it down.

First, physically clean the laptop using a can of compressed air, then run some scans using malwarebytes and ccleaner to get rid of any viruses/malware, if doing that didnt help, you might want to reinstall your OS.

If you are unable to do any of that stuff at home, you can bring the laptop over to a computer repair shop.

I cleaned my fans with a vacuum today, it made me think that it helped but it didn't. I tried scans for tons of times but it never worked. Already re-installed my OS tons of times 30 euros each time and I spent a lot of money for NOTHING, lol.

I would imagine that you have a lot of Background programs running. Have you tried shutting them down.

You did not say Which OS you are using, How much of your Hard drive is available,

Did you fall into the Windows 10 Upgrade trap?

I have Windows 7 Professional, it came along with my laptop.

179 of 232 GB available of my C: disk.

And how is it ever relevant? Disk fragmentation is barely a thing anymore if you haven't noticed and the game doesn't write enough to warrant needing 50% of your system partition being free. Even with 20% free you generally are fine.

Excellent, and how does it get fixed. Apply your patch? Stop background operations?

Is the game DVD v1, DVD v2, STEAM registered Down Load?

IF it is Stolen (Torrent/Pirated/Warez) the answer *might* be to buy the real game.

IF v2 or v3, changing the Downgrader *might* halp.

Recommended System Requirements for GTA: San Andreas:

• Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP processor (or better)

• XP, Vista, Windows 7.

• 384(+) MB of RAM

• 16x DVD-ROM drive (or download [which I do not recommend]

• 4.7 GB of free Hard Disk space for a full install

★128(+) MB Dedicated Memory Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce4" or better)

• DirectX 9 compatible Surround Sound Card

• Keyboard & Mouse

Since it's a laptop, it might be just using an integrated GPU instead of discrete nvidia one. Doublecheck it.
