The biggest issue to me with the GTB is its weird roof line. The Nemesis influence clashes too much with the curvier 570S front and rear ends. I've thought about buying it again too, but that angular roof line just doesn't work.

Yessir, it just doesn't work.

 

I took it for a long drive on the final day of the sale & came to the same conclusion. It just doesn't work.

Yeah it's the same conclusion for me when I see my friend's GTB. If it had a more rounded roof it would work, but the weird angle it has when you look at it from the side just throws it all off. I think whoever designed this car made the A and B pillars the same length without taking into account the higher waistline by the engine compartment and just drew on a roof. That's what it kind of looks like to me at least.

It is a shame what they did with this car. Had they completely avoided any sort od Nemesis influence (that was a diabolically fugly car) it would've wound up more like this lore friendly Itali drop:

The Itali GTB is such a let down visually. Take a look at how absurd of a widnshield it has, in first person you can't even see ahead, the roof is so low. Then that side vent by the rear wheels, it looks like something a dev accidentally did and left in, so out of place with the other lines on the car. Then there's the little square dip in the rear windshield, arguably the worst feature of the Trion Nemesis. Its only saving grace for me is the headlights and front fascia actually resemble a 570s. However its not enough to redeem the car.

It is the name that annoys me most with this car, do you think rstar made a mistake and used a name they had saved for a future Grotti maybe,

It would be like them releasing a car called the Grotti Brittania or the Grotti Boudica.

And because of the name simularity I always forget what the grotti Italia is called and call the mechanic for one of these by mistake.

 

I still own norm and custom versions of it tho.

I do not hate the way it looks but don't love it either. the roof slope is a bit much.

Both versions drive ok but again nothing that exciting.

If this car was a colour, I would discribe it as beige or magnolia. A bit bland and uninspired.

But at the same time nothing particular thats wrong.

I see they never fixed the rear lights: the thin strips come on with the headlights, and the full clusters act as brake lights.

It could be in reference to how a lot of non-Italian cars use Italian names to sound more exotic. Sort of like how Aston calls the new “sporting” DB11 the Superleggera, despite the fact Carrozzeria Touring hasn’t touched an AM design since 1963.

 

I’ll strongly disagree on the ‘nothing is wrong’ aspect of your message. It is a horrifically designed car, including the single worst aspect of the Trion Nemesis [the oddly angled roof and cab-rearward MR chassis] with an incredibly lazy blind man’s interpretation of the Maccer 570 for the front and rear clip. The Vacca is a better baby McLaren homage. The GTB is offensively ugly from every angle. One of the worst designs in the game, on par with the OG Cheetah.

In my eyes it is a bit "meh" with a weird roof and because of this it is my least favourite looking Progen, the Emerus coming a close 2nd.

But I do not find it offensive, And at least it is unique mixing weird with boring in one package.

I had a custom on the progen floor of an office garage for several years. I tried to convince myself it was some kind of track day special. But In the company of two T20s, a gp1, an Emerus and a tyrus. It just felt so lacking in looks and performance. Alas we parted company
