Progen Itali GTB Appreciation Thread

Ughh, love a few of the liveries so much that now i have a stock and TWO customs... GTA broke for the first time since i splurged on a yacht when they were released lol, better get grinding!

I really like not being forced to use a spoiler on the custom too, the lack of spoiler really showcases the Itali's extreme tail end lines/features.

I had to get 3 also. It reminds me of an edgier t20 with aggressive lines.

After riding it a few days non stop because it's so damn beautiful i couldn't take out anything else it seems iv'e been able to tame it and most of its raw aggression is being channeled towards grip and power and sending chills up my fingers.. its roar leaks out primal dominance.. like a lioness that can't decide if she wants to f*ck or tear some poor gazelle to pieces.. or both. I wish it was five times louder... I actually feel gratitude towards whoever made that car happen, she's amazing, seriously can't get enough

I bought this car and fully loaded it, foolishly assuming since it came out after the Nero Custom, it would be the new king. Its not worthy to shine the Neros shoes (I test drove my friends Nero via GTA mode on the same track). And LOL trying to knock the RE-7B off its throne.

Then I watched Broughy say it wasnt the top Super. Then I reminded myself that I hate Broughy's kiddie track he races his cars on and uses its lap times as THE bar to judge them by. So I finally made THE Test Course to really shake down a car and put it in every scenario it would see on a typical technical course through the city. It features various degrees of turns, and elevation changes to really upset the car and TRULY test its handling characteristics. Its a mix of real road and controlled stunt track so you can really push it and not have to worry about curbs and sidewalk obstacles as much. Its also a single lane road track that forces everyone to drive the same line, so that way we can all compare our times much more accurately to each other in the same vehicle.

Heres the PS4 track

MI6 Full Test Course

3.5 min avg Lap Time on a 5 mile Technical Course. SOLO RUNS ONLY. Track designed for single lane turns to force every driver to take the same Racing Line for more Accurate Lap Time Comparisons with other drivers using the SAME VEHICLE. Course tests a car's handling characteristics though a variety of turn angles and elevation changes on a very controlled course.

Use it to shake down all your cars, and really see what they are made of.

Anyways, the Itali's only real advantage is that it can accel faster than a Nero. After that, your roasted. Its braking is horrendous, I found myself having to brake several car lengths sooner than the 7B. And when you hit the brakes at max speed and try turning it has horrific oversteer. I almost want to say its turning radius is worse than the Zentorno. For what it is, the price, the race mod body, it shouldnt suck this bad as a hardcore racer. Buy it for looks, but dont expect to beat quality racers who show up in a Nero or RE-7B.

Very nice race car. Would make mine exactly like that if the rear end and rear window didn't look like it does. If only Rockstar made it more like the 570s or 675LT. Oh well, can't wait to see what the next update is and what cars will be included. Hopefully we get some more GTA IV cars like the Turismo with a interior that can be painted and a roofless option. That would be beautiful.

I have one of these progen itali gtb, mines fully upgraded but kept as stock in matte black with lava red secondary, and I was unsure at first but believe me it grows on you quickly, I'd never part ways with it now and after racing it, I'm truly hooked. It seems small compared to other cars and can be like balancing on a knife edge at full whack on a track but trust me, try it for a few days and youl soon come to love it. I'm trying to post pics but can't figure out how to do it, can anyone help me out

upload the picture to imgur.com for example, then open it in a new tab, copy its address and paste it instead of the xxx in xxx[\img] (use the other slash " / " not " \ " , that's the only way i found to type it without it disappearing)

Not bad, but not good.

You're right, it's great!

Honestly the only thing that would make this car better for me would be if each of the customs front bumpers had a "no diffuser" option (and possibly a no canards one as well). Very nice amount of cool front bumper options but I can't bring myself to put that awful diffuser on.

Still my current favorite and most enjoyed DLC car in quite a long while.

Assuming the pic quality isn't an issue, it's quite simple.

After you take a photo in game with your phone (or through the editor) and send it to the social club through the pause menu gallery, go to the social club and open the pic up. Right click on it and select "copy image address" and then using the photo icon in the text entry box here paste the copied address.

Thanks pal what a nightmare lol, I kept it stock because they say Benny's slows them down is that true

Sort of. Custom gets downforce which increases with speed, non-custom gets a less powerful but always present traction increase from a spoiler. Short answer is custom is better for stunt tracks, og for regular races. If you're really into the car you should get both.

. Well I'm like always racing in GTA online and i do track days in real life too so I'm a bit Motorsport mad lol so didn't want to take a performance hit but now I know I might just cruise on down to Benny's lol n do the upgrade. Thanks for that pal

Color?Racing Green with Lime Green pearl.

It's a great car for sure... And it really surprised me with this week's timetrial.. 5 secs under par with custom. So I gave it another go with the Specter and Lynx... Specter custom is def slower. And lynx... Well, even slower... Italigtb for the win... :-)

ItaliGTB is a very nice and useable car... Very glad I got two of them.. I understand why folks keep stacking t hem up... :-)
