I've been trying all morning. Usual way, nothing fancy. I put the cheapest muscle wheels, painted them gold, loaded up ifruit then changed to stock wheels. Done. I think what they were getting at is certain cars get a downforce stat once customized at Benny's. Downforce was added to certain cars starting with Cunning Stunts. Downforce increases traction as speed increases. Cars with downforce no longer get the benefits of using a spoiler. Therefore, certain cars you do not need a spoiler to get the best performance. -TheJoker- Posted January 17, 2017 Share Posted January 17, 2017 I initially wasn't going to bother with one, because I haven't really liked any 'Aston Martin' style car in GTA apart from the Massacro, and I wasn't such a fan of the short rear end after the rear wheel. There is definitely more booty behind the wheel on the DB10 than there is on this thing. However JoonasPRKL has gone some way to convincing me with his stunning blue versions, and also when you add a spoiler, it seems to make the rear a little more 'right' to me. But ill try to resist, saying to myself that the filter makes it look stunning, but when actually playing, the car doesnt look that great in the cancerous yellow Californian sunlight. No offence. My apologies dude, wasn't intending to seem like I was getting on your case, only poking fun at your post because of how it came off to others (myself included). The problem was you weren't being specific even if you thought you were and therefore your point was not clear. I'm specifically talking about the fact that the non custom only has one spoiler, and when you said you "hate them all" it came off as if you were talking about the custom version, the version of the car that doesn't require a spoiler and therefore made it seem you were complaining about nothing. Looking at the front of the car (Custom Variant), the bumper curves in so aggressively, that the front tires look ridiculously out of place. I just bought this and the Nero but only had enough for the custom upgrade, other than that both cars are bone stock. Feels good so far but hard to tell how the real deal runs. Other than elegy retro the downforce type sport class cars aren't great, I'm hoping this will be the faster, less nimble competitor to the elegy retro. Then specify, the stock specter only has ONE spoiler, if you're bringing up all of the spoilers then you're talking about the custom in which it receives the downforce stat and therefore doesn't require a spoiler anyway. First you say "that is how it works" referring to the necessity of a spoiler. Then you say it doesn't require one. Then you say that I'm complaining about something that almost doesn't apply. It either does or it doesn't. The spoiler either effects the car's handling or it doesn't. If the spoiler has no effect on the Specter custom, then great. I'll gladly take it off. I haven't seen any specific update notes from R* pertaining to this. I would love to know, though, if there are and precisely what they say. So here it is again. The spoilers. I don't like them. Specifically what? All the spoilers in GTA. That's what I originally said and that's what I'll repeat just for you since your having trouble with this. It just so happens to include the Specter because that's what this thread is about. You want to argue silly semantics over what "specify" means? Go ahead. Have fun with that. Another issue you are now having is why I came to this thread. Because I like this car and wanted to join in on the conversation. The comment on the spoilers was a side note, like my other dislikes. Not "the thing" that is the main purpose. Sorry that you got so derailed by this one little aspect. Hopefully, this ends this stupid conversation over nothing. I hate repeating myself so end it here. nido997 Posted January 17, 2017 Share Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) this car is soo beautiful ! so I decided to buy the custom version (only 180k for the upgrade !!! ) it performs pretty well but it s clear that it isn t the fastest , it slides a bit (well it s a 2WD) ...i really wish that R* patches the new custom versions , yeah the downforce multiplicator is working in high speed corners but still , those custom cars need more downforce in the "ordinary" corners , like what a normal spoiler could provide ..... I immediately knew which colour this specter custom needs ( dark steel with blue-silver pearlescent ) , secondary is speed yellow which goes very well with the livery wasn´t sure about the interior , I hope there isn´t "too much yellow" there !
