They made the wheel diameter too large, so they had to flare the arches differently to compensate. And it makes the flares effectively horizontal on top, which looks stupid and un-aerodynamic. All the front bumpers stick out forwards too far which makes the front too bulky and long. Only made worse by the forced splitter on every bumper upgrade. Then there’s no RWB/Porsche wing options, they’re all just generic ‘tuner’ wings copy-pasted from everything else. Then there’s the god-awful wheel selection that’s been around since launch in 2013, with absolutely no graphical updates. None of them really work, and because none of them have any real offset/dish, it makes the car look even worse than it already does. There’s literally 2, maybe 3 wheel options that actually work. overall, it’s incredibly poorly done. The base car design looks like its trying too hard to ape the 3D era Comet rather than being a fresh take on a classic 911, which causes it to have the goofy headlamps and the bulbous rear end. And the widebody kit looks like it was made by someone not that into cars and who looked at an RWB Porsche once and then tried to remake it from memory. Compared to the other Retro Custom launched at the same time, it’s like they’re from two completely different games. I’ve bought, modified, and sold it out of frustration at least 4 times. I keep thinking “maybe, just maybe, I’ll be able to make it look right this time.” But nope. You can polish a turd all you like, but it will be for ever a turd. It wouldve been fine had they made damn widebody kit optional or not added it to the car at all. I think their idea was to please two crowds with one car and annoyed both instead. They shouldve made the modern comet widebody and gave us the comet retro without a dumb widebody kit. But hey there may still be hope for a non butchered version of this car.
