Elegy Retro Custom Appreciation Thread

Unfortuantely it seems it's around the pace of the Comet, so just under the top tier Sports Cars (Feltzer, Massacro, Jester RC, Elegy etc... ). Handles pretty well although there is a small hint of understeer and susceptible stepping out going over bumps. Doesn't have any stand out qualities performance wise but I'm sure there's still some nuances to find that will make it quicker. That being said it looks fricking awesome and I love it :D

It might be sacrilegious of me to say this, but I think this is the first time I've ever preferred a Rockstar design over the real life vehicles that it's based on. I like Skylines, but I've never been a "Skyline fan," if you know what I mean. This is a perfect blend of the three most popular generations, though, and I think it's one of Rockstar's best designs yet. Whichever designer came up with it deserves a Christmas bonus.

Makes no sense and I need one...

Cue the griefers in their 2F2F replicas (a la blue-yellow rally Sultan RS).

:^: I could not agree more.

I myself am not I big JDM guy but this car is something else. I kept mine relatively stock. Went for the R32 look. Now all we need is an RX7 and Supra and NSX.

Love it. I already have the 2F2F remake, I plan on getting another and yours is very close to what I have in mind.

This is the one I'll try to get close to.

I'm sorry, but whoever thought having 4 separate, circular, red tailights looked good had no taste. And yes I know that's what it looks like irl

I said the same thing to a mate earlier, it's the first Rockstar design that actually looks better than the real versions. It's so similar that I'm surprised there aren't any copyright infringements but I'm not complaining.

It makes a change to see a thread where every single car is tastefully modded!
It was my most wanted car of the update, and it hasn't disappointed :D

This car is so freaking cool, awesome to think how R* managed to please all the people wanting a tuners DLC in such a subtle way - and gotta say there must be a drift enthusiast amongst the devs, some of the details scream for that! Plus, thumbs up for Benny, which is surely descendent of a chinese family, considering his amazing hidden talent to build kit cars (aka knockoff), although it would impress me more to turn an old R33 into an R35.

Also, does anyone know if could I get a dark champagne color without having to rely on crew colors? Something like this:

Best one so far. Kinda sad the R34 didn't happen, but a lot of people were begging for the R32

Actually, one of the fender kits evokes a very R34 vibe. From the rear 3/4 view, when you combine the roofline with those fenders, the R34 all but jumps out at you.

I see more like R33 than R32, in fact can't find any R32 hints there.

Front speaks of 33 (R32 had orange turning lights), so tail lights. Got R34 vibe (1 taillight bigger), but in 95% is R33

4197615357_4865e00756.jpg

Overal mix of skylines, but mostly 33, with very little 34 touch.

Eeeeh, I'd say overall car mostly resembles the R32 with front and back-end taking R33/R34 designs respectively. The silhouette still screams R32 to me tho, especially when looking from the side and the rear fenders.

This thing is p phat as it is, but I wish there were more front / rear bumper options as R* had a plethora of kits and obscurities to pick from.

It might be a bug when you lose all performance mods. I made my fully modified Elegy RH8 into the Retro, and I retained ALL performance upgrades.

Beginning to dislike these wheels more so after seeing all y'alls. Maybe chunkier wheels will be fitted tomorrow.

Just use a Gold Metallic base with a white pearlescant. It's the closest I could get to Top Secret's gold.
