yes i have some duplicates atm. I would destroy them, when I have all 32 cars.

Is it important not to have duplications, when you are completing the 32 cars?

Yes. If you have no duplicates you will only get the cars you need.

Sell all the duplicates first and then build your 32 car collection afterwards. Trying to get those four before getting rid of those duplicates will just make it harder.

Yeah everyone focuses on "32" but actually ALL you need to do is

1) Start with NO duplicate models.

2) Keep Standard and Mids that you don't have

3) Sell Tops, to keep the money flowing (optional)

That's really all there is to it. Eventually you'll have 20 unique cars you'll never sell and every car you source will be top.

Optionally, when (if) you also have 12 tops, the car you sell will be the next one you source. Don't go over 32 cars (80% full).

Yeah, that what I heard as well and I don't understand it.

I just did 10 sales on so and found out later that day about the method and just decided to only sell the tops. Some time after all low and mid ranges were in the garage giving me only tops.

Now a few months later I was tired of driving things like the mamba just cause they are too damage prone so to speak while being chased by Sultans so just keep a specific type of car you don't wish to drive no more. Now I still get a nice varied top end cars to source and sell keeping it fun.

I wish though that new vehicles would be added every now and then. I'd love to Source a Torero or Infernus Classic. But knowing Rockstar, that'll never happen.

I searched the word 'thermal' in this topic's search engine & got the "No results found" reply. The thermal goggles that was added to the game in the Smuggler's Run update can be pretty useful in some Vehicle Cargo steal missions.

The Heavy Sniper thermal sight does exactly the same. But maybe you haven't unlocked it from Bunker research?

There's something useful too if your car is way too damaged :

1) Go to your vehicle warehouse

2) Right before going into the "Yellow Ring" to deliver it, park the car right there.

3) Push your car enough to "be in the yellow ring" when you will go inside your car later.

4) Fire at your car until you see 34 000$ of damage which will go at 0$ (your car will be on fire at that time)

5) Once its on fire (at 0$), go inside the car and it should be delivred without paying the repair cost.

Weapons which deal high damage output on cars :

- Heavy Shotgun (near 600-800$ of damage per round, can be upgraded with Drum Magazine, ammo don't cost alot)

- Minigun (Fast damage output but ammo can cost alot)

- Heavy Revolver (near 1000$ damage output but low Fire Rate)

Vehicle worked :

- Osiris

- X80 Proto

- T20

- FMJ

- Reaper

Vehicle which doesn't worked :

- Tyrus

:O

I completely forgot it exists. I developed it & never bought it. From what I see on YouTube the thermal scope for the heavy sniper Mk II is actually much more convenient because it's faster to equip & unequip. I'll buy it tomorrow.

Why, does it work?

I was going to try it anyway but i expect I'll either be paying my mechanic a lot or exploding.

Didn't work for me.

I tried this method on the Osiris. When the car gained 34K worth of damage it didn't go up in flames. I waited for a while & then decided to continue shooting at it. I fired a little and waited... fired a little and waited... fired a little and the Osiris suddenly exploded.

AFAIK the car doesn't catch fire at 34k, only when that f*cking session split bug happens - and I paid 34k

I tried it with the Mamba and Stirling GT and it worked fine. What weapon were you using?

I used the Minigun to reach 34K damage and after nothing happened I used the Assault Shotgun. It doesn't bother me that it doesn't work for me because usually I don't get any damage. I treated it as an amusing experiment and didn't really expect it to work.

You definitely need to shoot it till it's on fire, after it catches on fire (without blowing up obviously) the 34k repair price will drop to zero dollars, you then have to quickly enter and start the car to trigger the delivery.

I tested it out a bit to see if it worked last night.

Edit: to me the mini gun seems like a waste as it's damage output and rate of fire is too high to be easy on it, I just blast the thing with an assault shotgun or the MKII carbine till I hit 34K then take pot shots with the carbine until it catches on fire. The biggest issue for me with this method is my warehouse location as the second I take a shot the Vagos get all riled up and I have to deal with them first, but with cars I get 10K plus damage on I don't mind taking the time to erase that fee.

For me, it works each time I do it.

what I do is exactly the same things I wrote but, I use a Heavy Shotgun (Shotgun from LTS Update)

and I shoot the doors (Don't shoot above the Left Rear Wheel! Explosion guaranted),

and when I reach 34 000$ (It's not on fire at time for me), I shoot the engine until it goes to 0$ (It goes on fire).

At 34 000$, you can still move and the engine start.
at 0$, you can't move because the engine is dead. That's why the "Push the car where the yellow circle was"

I'll try to make a video on how to.

(I will do it in a Solo Public Session because... never liked PvP since 2015, full of White Face Paint and Black Joggers kids who love to troll people and waste money on BST just to have an certain advantage... until someone start Sightseer)

- EDIT -

Will be uploaded on Youtube

^

LOL

amazing move.

Now, calculate how much you spent on ammo, and see exactly when it's worth it to do this technique.

Nice catch!

FWIW if you need to do that regularly worth mentioning you can just take all your money out as cash on your 2nd character (so 1st has zero balance) and then all repairs will be free.

During the missions where you have to kill the driver(a racer often), if you shoot him beyond 80/100 meters the damage won't be registered by the game.

In both cases I used the MKII Carbine, that weapon is surprisingly accurate. Roughly 100 meters. One shot or short burst. In the second pic(Sandy Shore mission) the window isn't visually damaged.

Also, all missions with enemys arround the car, you can shoot with Buzzard/Hydra from a long distance without damaging the car.

I do the same thing with the vehicle you have to take from a person being chased by police, either on Richman or Harmony. I stay back long enough to not trigger the chase and sh*t the driver with a sniper. Damage doesn't register, either. Edited by Mr_No
