I think the Barge one is 5. 3 in the west coast & 2 in the east coast.

The rest are random.

There are only 3 barge missions as well. 2 on West coast, 1 on East coast.

Ooh okay. Thanks for correcting me.

As said above, when I logged on using a different console but the same account, I got loads of different locations. Now back on my own console and I don't get them anymore. What causes this?

They are all random. I've had them all many many times but I might get one of them only once in every 100 missions I do, then I might get it several times in one day. It's random, no way to figure it out and I've stolen and sold more than 1000 vehicles. Edited by VulcanFanatic

cargobob question, is there a specific flying technique required?

sounds like a weird question, but the past few days if i am flying long distances sometimes the car just randomly falls off the hook. just seems random because the times it has happened i could tell by the swaying flying around/over mountains or trying to land at the warehouse. it's just not consistent enough to pick up a pattern to change.

but to be safe, i should just ask anyway, how do you guys fly with cars? for the most part others don't mess with us higher levels, but the threat is there of trolls and obviously npcs chasing us. seems like a dumb question, but maybe someone has a better flying pattern or delivery method.

it might make a difference if an associate fires missiles at a car? i was in buzzard as ceo was picking up a car with the cargobob and out of curiosity fired a few missiles at the car from a fairly good distance and it blew up (as well as the cargobob)

I've read that it matters if someone is in the cargo Bob while a buzzard is firing missiles at the barge. The way I do it, which is solo, I park my cargo Bob, get out, spawn a buzzard, hover just within missile lock range, lob one missile at a time until no more missile locks. Make a pass over, then return to shore and board your cargo Bob. No blown up cars ever.

Cars falling off the cargo Bob is a bug, probably not your flying method. I find that being in a session with others tends to trigger this bug. I use a solo session and don't have this problem but have experienced it in sessions with others. As far as your flying technique, try to fly as stable as possible to prevent the car from moving or swinging violently, which may cause damage. Edited by VulcanFanatic

thanks.

something seems off when it has fallen.

oh yeah, and to verify, missiles didn't affect barge and race meet pick ups for me when i was playing solo.

bombed a barge and also the meet at vinewood bowl and had no issues.

Im having trouble with the timer again. I had 23 minutes left so I completed my 3 daily objectives and won a freemode event, get to the warehouse and it's 21 minutes on the clock.

Am I missing something? When does this timer actually go down?

Whenever you're in the map, basically. So in missions, races, freeroam etc but not menus or the creator or logged off. Your example does sound wrong. Changing session puts 10m on the clock afaict.

Also seen a few people mention it, LA MESA IS sh*t. THE ENTIRE WORLD IS THERE. BUY ANY OTHER WAREHOUSE. IMO of course. Quick highway access is the main desirable feature.

Can we make it official? Car exporting is so much more tolerable than Biker work and crate farming. I know the cool down is terrible, but if you play Fortified, or another high paying VIP job in between sales, profit adds up fast. Mix in some Biker sales or special cargo and the grind is so much more diverse and doable these days. Good on R* for sticking with it and continuing to flesh out free roam. Minor annoyances aside, I'm pretty happy with what we have. Hopefully Gun Running will add another unique dimension to this type of free roam work!

I agree 100%.

I was grinding like a mofo for a while there (wanted my nest egg to get over 20 mill) which actually got me burned out on gta for a month or so. Now that i am back i am being much more casual about it and still pulling down lots of cash. Steal and sell a high end car, vip job, crate run. Throw a modded sentinel sell in there if the time is right (i don't farm them anymore) and sell some coke or meth if lester is pestering me. Allowing myself to get distracted between jobs and the variety of work is hepling me enjoy this game more than i have since last summer

Yes. Once you get it set up properly and source only Top range cars, it's a steady income once you break even. And the best thing of all, your vehicle warehouse won't get raided. And you won't get assistant phone calls such as:

"Hey, Boss, just here to remind you you have cars in your warehouse ready to sell"

"Boss, I see you still have vacant spots in your warehouse. Might be a good time to source a car or two?"

-Ever so often.

At least your assistant only calls you to confirm your car delivery and car sales.

And on another subject, at first it felt great to finally have all the collections in my warehouse, but then I realize I must eventually sell a top range car if I want to keep the profits rolling in...

No. It's the default cooldown when you open the game and log in. But when the first car is sold, you only get the 20 min cooldown between sales until you close the game, no matter the session changing or the character switching.

I keep a full set of cars and only ever sell the t20 and/or oasis. Easiest cars to drive for me. Selling and stealing is such a pleasure when driving either of those.

Car exporting tops mc, crates. It is like one steady pay day after another. I never cared for the crate thing, mc was an improvement but had drawbacks I disliked.

If you use a cargo Bob it's best to source and sell the x80 proto over and over because it's the lightest and will keep you from losing altitude as fast while getting away from buzzards or other pesky choppers.

La Mesa is a toilet bowl full of proximity bombs and vagos rambling on about how they're going to watch each other's dogs. My personal recommendation is the warehouse closest to the airport.

No Use For A Name

Never bothered buying the office living quarters because I didn't see any benefit. After less than two days owning it, it's now my most valuable asset.

Spawn in office, source car. Go to garage and wait for assistant phone call. If it's a good mission with a top end car, lag everyone out then proceedt. If it's a crap mission, switch sessions and repeat. No cooldown when switching sessions (or at least none that I've experienced). I was able to get the last cars for 5 different collections yesterday using this method. Now, I don't even need to warp to my Del Perro apt. It's quicker to just switch sessions.

I finally did the unthinkable. Due to extreme luck with the NPC's spawning on the opposite side of the highway, I was able to blow past them without taking damage and keep my speed low enough that they never respawned. Finally delivered a car in a solo session with no damage

Probably the only one, but I actually like the La Mesa warehouse. Vagos don't attack you unless you do something threatening, like pointing a gun at them or shooting somebody. They have been useful to me sometimes. Some dudes waiting at the door while I was getting out to sell a car did shoot me once or twice and guess what happened - they got killed by the Vagos while trying to reach the car.

Players off-radar and dumb players like the other guy can exist in any warehouse though.

It just came to me, if another organisation is on a delivery mission and you steal their vehicle, when you store it in your warehouse does it come up with the mods that they applied to the vehicle when you are logged in on the laptop?

I have never actually stolen another vehicle while they are delivering so im not sure what happens

When someone's selling, and you steal that car, you only get the option to take it to the Police Station or the scrap yard. You can't take it back to your warehouse.

^ You can only deliver to a police station or scrapyard (if you're an MC) for a $5k reward. It's "too hot" apparently..

So it's all about catching them on the way in.

I guess the Vehicle Warehouse interior* can only cope with the 96 "stock" vehicle cargo models, hence the police station dodge.

$5k is cheap though. I rarely bother unless the CEO has irked me. I don't see why we shouldn't be able to make the delivery ourselves, other than R* not liking cross-player money transfer methods....

* Actually, probably the computer system isn't it. Thumbnails are needed.

Wow, I remember someone trying to pull that on me. THe moment I saw the Barracks I sped up and drove around the corner and went in the back alley. Guy was so angry he got out played he spammed stickies at the entrance as I walked out. Too bad for him I popped him before he got the chance to detonate them

If they use the sell option without upgrades you can
