^ Car meet cars have to be moved before pickup afaict. Some script has to close the hood/trunk.

And yes, blow the sh*t out of the barge guys, the car don't mind as long as the cargobob isn't manned.

If you hit a car DIRECTLY with a buzzard missile (or two), it will blow up. Otherwise, it's pretty much indestructible before you pick it up.

Actually, it seems to be based off distance - so long as you don't approach too close, you can shoot a car with a hundred missiles and it won't suffer a scratch, but the moment you pass some arbitrary distance threshold, it will 'activate' and start taking damage like a regular car would.

Are you guys having a bug where some, not all, of your cars become invisible in the warehouse? Not covered or anything, they just disappear.

It's not really a huge deal since the cars are accessible in the laptop to be sold, but I really like to see the cars I stole too...

... Same with the car meet mission.

Well, thanks. I'll try this, but seems to good to be true ) What about the damage?

The "car meet mission" was failed yesterday as soon as I launched the Ruiner missile.

I think it only works with buzzard rockets. I tried using rpg on the cars on the opposite side of the car I was sourcing and a car hit it so it had over 30k damage when I picked it up. When I call in ceo buzzard I've never had damage on the car on either car meet mission or the barge/ off shore mission

Ok, guys. Tested it personally.

Indirect damage from Buzzard rockets (at least, the SecureServ buzzard) doesn't do any damage to the car (debris, nearby exploding cars don't do damage as well) in ANY car stealing mission.

Direct hit with a Buzzard missle will instantly blow the car and fail the mission.

EDIT: Direct heavy sniper shots don't do damage as well if you are far away from the car.

What dictates where your missions are located? The location of your office or warehouse?

Pretty sure it's all the same regardless. Haven't heard anyone having specific locations that others haven't gotten.

I played on someone else's console and got different mission locations, using my own account obviously. What's with that?

My main character has Lombank with Elysian Island and my second has Arcadius with Davis (btw, Arcadius/Davis is a really good combination).

The same type of sourcing missions are different located for each character like the amateur race at LSIA versus Vinewood Racetrack. Or the cargobob mission at Zancudo versus north of Human Labs. Or car meet at Vinewood versus Power Station. With the Little Seoul gangsters, follow the Kuruma to Chumash versus north-east of the city.

But other sourcing missions are the same for both characters, like the DUI's, the photo-find-the-spot's or the driving-untill-bomb-discharges missions.

Could be just random, but I noticed it, so might as well be depending on the location of your warehouse...

You get different variations of the same sourcing mission no matter what warehouse you own..

Tested it with a Ruiner again and the results are even better.

I have sent the entire car meet to hell within seconds, but the car took zero damage.

So, yes - avoid direct hits as much as possible and try to keep yourself far away from the enemy.

No Use For A Name

I'm now consistently delivering cars in solo sessions with under 1% damage. It works best from the La Mesa garage, since you can hit the highway to do all deliveries. Blow past the first two cars that spawn. You should take around $500 of damage. When you're a safe distance away, slow down a bit until the red dots reappear. You want the initial two cars chasing you the entire trip. Continue to your destination, slowing down when the dots disappear and flooring it when they reappear. As long as you keep a safe distance, their bullets won't hit the car, nor will any new enemies spawn.

This only works with supers and sports cars. Anything with good acceleration and handling. Don't try it with a Roosevelt or Sabre Turbo Custom; you'll be toast

If you use a Cargobob you can always deliver them in mint condition, and it's fast and easy too.

Yes, but not all variations of all of them.

For example, I have La Puerta warehouse and have never once (in over 300 vehcile steals) had the amateur race at LSIA that was mentioned by sinepedraap. So I suppose it doesn't give you steal missions that are too close to your warehouse. Although office location doesn't seem to matter - I've had cars located very close to my office (Lombank) before.

Yep. Cargobob is definitely the way to do it. For stealing as well as delivery.

Then just learn to identify the steal missions that are more hassle than they're worth (i.e. you're better off changing sessions and getting another), and off you go.

It can be used for like 95% of the missions (only the speed bomb missions really prevent its use),

Actually some of those can be avoided

Just angle the cargobob to pick the car up. The game will still tell you to steal the vehicle but ignore and when you get to your warehouse the yellow icon will appear and you can deliver car without doin mission

I don't have a Cargobob, but at $1.79M, it seems like it would take a lot of sales to pay for itself. I know you reduce the damage taken, but that's still going to be several hundred vehicles

Your math is very off. Its dozens not hundreds

I sold 20 top range cars and the cargobob more than paid for itself

Mind you i bought it last week lol

Yes, it's also very obvious that R* wanted to make Import/Export good for the Cargobob. One example is that you just have to get close to the yellow marker with the car attached and don't have to actually land and drive the car the last bit. Also when you get the car bomb you can just pick the car up and the timer doesn't start - but you still get a yellow marker at your warehouse. Edited by C64fanatic

I have Arcadius and La Puerta warehouse, and I've got the LSIA race mission once. Only once in 135 source missions though.

I think the source mission locations have nothing to do with the location of your warehouse/office. I have the maze bank office and la Mesa warehouse and Im sure Ive had every source mission at least once.

Interesting. I wonder why I haven't had the LSIA race mission yet then. I guess just a statistical anomaly. I've had everything else often enough!

As said above, when I logged on using a different console but the same account, I got loads of different locations. Now back on my own console and I don't get them anymore. What causes this?

it might make a difference if an associate fires missiles at a car? i was in buzzard as ceo was picking up a car with the cargobob and out of curiosity fired a few missiles at the car from a fairly good distance and it blew up (as well as the cargobob)

It took me over 150 car sales to finally get the stupid 'Bob mission where you steal it from the east side of the map at Humane Labs, just to fly all the way back to the west side of the map to get the car, source mission. Then unluckily enough I got it again less than 6 more sources. So I'm pretty sure it's all just random.

Malibu Club

Anyone know if it is possible for some random NPC to mistake the car for theirs and run off with it? That'd be some straight up bull if it were possible. Especially when you're doing that mission where you have to find the car based on an image sent to you and you see the car nonchalantly driving away while telling you to go f*ck your momma in the keister.

U can trade in special vehicle ware house but u lose half cost of old one on trade in plus all upgrades. Moving is expensive.

I recommend watching a video of all warehouses then visiting one your interested in. Having a decent LZ for Bob

Critical. The Greenwich location near airport works well for me and I have 10 car garage in same complex. It's near LSC and airport. Super synergy. Also a LSC nearby so can sell regular cars like baller every game day then close to complex. For sourcing easy dropping off and for sales lots of LZ room in complex for Bob. It cost me $2.7m w all upgrade.

The missions are random regardless of of the warehouse\office location.

There are 3 different locations for Seoul Gangsters, Movie Stunt, Race Meet, Police Car Chase, Race, Crime Scene, DUI Stop, Time Trail & War Lord.

I think the Barge one is 5. 3 in the west coast & 2 in the east coast.

The rest are random.
