I DISCOVERED JUST NOW THAT THE 32 CAR METHOD NO LONGER WORKS! f*ck THIS!

In other words, the cars you'll be sourcing from now on are going to be completely random and can even be standard or mid range even if you have a lot of those stored already?

If that's the case, that sucks. The cooldown for selling cars should really be lower for standard and mid range cars than it is for top range.

It's almost like Rockstar wants people to start using glitches.

I wondered about this--had heard that you'd always get a Top Range car if your inventory was kept full (and it was true--I was), but last night I sold my last Top Range car from one of my character's inventories, only to get it replaced with a mid-range vehicle (and in the process lost around $7k just trying to get it back intact from the trolling NPC terminators).

It's not "unfair" to R* for us as players to get rewarded with Top Range vehicles on an ongoing basis--we're always "kept in check" with tougher sourcing jobs, more driving/delivery time, trolling NPC crapola, cool downs, etc.; adding random sourcing levels just adds insult to injury.

Pretty pathetic IMO how R* talks out of both sides of their mouth--giving players double GTA$ for various jobs, etc.; while simultaneously screwing them over in numerous other ways.

Would be nice to someday just be given a straight deal on all levels; imagine that.

The Cargobob is absolutely perfect for Import/Export so stop crying. ;) I always use it, and it's the best way (sounds like Trump, right?)

...

No tears, please. :p The Cargobob is the best thing since bread for this.

Glad someone likes that method; I'm a Cargobob fan too, but that mission is an epic waste of time.

Might be better after 1.38 changed the following (note R*'s political use of the word "certain" to avoid mentioning this worst-of-the-bunch mission by name), but I seriously doubt it:

* Reduced the accuracy and attack angle of the Buzzard Helicopter in certain Vehicle Cargo missions.

As much as I would love to take my time and reduce damage to the Cargobob and target car by first taking out the NPCs (teargas prevents damage and explosions), this mission is honestly just a massive waste of time and a frustration I'm not willing to put up with (had a fricking $32k damage bill, even IF the car was driveable, which it wasn't):

The missions where you get the car on the barges are easy if you do them right. I've done them many times with a cargo Bob and delivered with $0 damage . But you have to follow the same method if you want to succeed.

^ I made a race that ends at my office, and a race that ends at my Warehouse, and playlisted them (separately) so I can 'teleport' to acquire/sell vehicle cargo while making my own lobby.

Plus you can place 25 molotovs, stickies on the track and play it as a GTA race for easy refills ;)

Did they change the "moving vehicle" stops? Receptionist used to say "this car's on the move" but I've had 2 now where it's just "you got those details?". Not a big change, but a weird one.

Oh and it still takes 2 minutes of black screen to enter my warehouse sometimes. And yesterday the ETR1 at the 'lap race' pickup spawned on its roof.

So can someone confirm if the 'only get high end vehicles' thing is still working or not? Conflicting answers above.

DentureDynamite

Despite whatever bug fixes were made in 1.38, I spawned completely stuck/frozen outside my vehicle cargo warehouse yesterday on the way to sell a car--very frustrating. Oddly enough, first time for me; go figure.

Had to change sessions to get any kind of character and vehicle control back.

Apologies if this has been answered, but in 54 pages I don't have time to read them all.

If you buy a second I/E vehicle warehouse, does it have a separate cool down timer to sell a vehicle? Or is it still a 20 minute wait across all warehouses after a single car sale?

I have a suspicion it's the latter otherwise you could absolutely rinse this.

20 minutes cooldown after one car sale, yes.

When delivering stolen Import/Export cars to my vehicle warehouse via cargobob, I'll sometimes get an issue whereby, after the delivery cutscene, the cargobob's cable is way longer than normal and the hook keeps falling away over and over, making it impossible to pick anything else up with it.

I've only seen this while doing I/E, but it seems to be getting more frequent. Anyone know what causes it, or if there's much you can do - short of dumping the cargobob and picking up a new one every time it happens?

This is on PS4.

This happens when you pick up a car that has a npc in it. Happens Everytime I pick up a car with the driver still in it. Only fix is ditching the cargo Bob and get another from Pegasus.

Thanks very much for this. I didn't realise that was the cause but yup - confirmed for myself and that's exactly what does it.

One other fix is to drop the car onto the street outside your warehouse, rather than taking it all the way there with the cargobob. However, the NPC driver will go mental and drive off into a wall or whatever (over and over the time I tried it) and you still have to shoot him out of there and drive the car in. So almost as much hassle as delivering by air, ditching your cargobob, then ordering another and using the buzzard to pick it up. Or swinging back by your office.

^ You can fly your buggered cargobob to near a Peg spawn (the hospital, presumably) and call for a new one, then parachute down when it's reclaimed.

If your aim is to deliver a car in a solo lobby I'd just drive round the opposition tbh, rarely do more than a couple K damage (I use highways, not GPS).

Here is my reliable way to steal a car solo from a barge with $0 damage:

- (Optional) Get your own cargobob, land it on a hill. Snipe the enemies that are visible using heavy sniper

- Land the cargobob on a shore near the barge

- Order Techical Aqua and sail to the Tug Boat near the barge

- Ram Technical into the Tug boat, quickly exit the vehicle and use it as a platform to climb to the boat (you can't climb the boat using ladder -it's not usable).

As an alternative, you can parachute to the Tug boat from your SecureServ buzzard.

Or you can steal the Lazer Jet (there are no cops in this mission)

- Use the Tug cabin as a cover and snipe the rest of the enemies using Marksman Rifle - you should have the nice angle

- Kill yourself, respawn on a shore, get Cargobob

- Pick the car using cargobob and gain altitude until buzzards will spawn

- Just fly to your garage

I'll make a video soon.

What I usually do now to get rid of the enemies is blow up the enemies on the right barge with the VIP Buzzard.

If you have a girl character go to the barge you blew up the cars on and make sure you wear heels. This makes your character just high enough to aim at the heads of the enemies on the barge with the source car.

my method for the cargobob/barge mission is as soon as my assistant says "you're not going to be able to drive this one out of there" I just find a new session and start a new mission instead.....then by the time you're landing a cargobob here, or sniping NPCs from there, or ordering a technical aqua, I've already got a much easier to get top tier vehicle back in my warehouse.

You guys know that the car on the barge can't be blown up by buzzard rockets right?

Just blow 'em all to hell with buzzard, get back in bob and be on your merry way back to warehouse.

Same with the car meet mission.

I use my own cargobob because getting the marines one is too time consuming and when I'm near the tugboat/barges, I just call in a backup helicopter from Merrywheater, hook the car on and fly (as low as possible) straight to my La Puerta warehouse. The damage is always around 7k but sometimes (guessing 1 out of 10) the buzzards shoot up my cargobob, then I have to ditch it and drive to the warehouse, in that case I have more damage. This method is fast...

The "car meet mission" was failed yesterday as soon as I launched the Ruiner missile.

I think it only works with buzzard rockets. I tried using rpg on the cars on the opposite side of the car I was sourcing and a car hit it so it had over 30k damage when I picked it up. When I call in ceo buzzard I've never had damage on the car on either car meet mission or the barge/ off shore mission Edited by kenmy13999

Interesting, so obvs the hydra rockets don't work for no damage. But is there a difference between pegasus buzzard vs ceo buzzard?

TOP TIP

When doing the drunk driver mission: arrive at the scene, wait for wanted level and then kill yourself. You will then spawn with no wanted level and the cops will let you get in drive off. This also avoids damage during gun fight, probs quicker too.

Holy crap gonna try this. Been tired of landing to snipe all those fools and stealing with a Cargobob. Then again Cargobob is somewhat useful for no damage while making my way back to warehouse. Decisions....

Havent personally tried blowing the sh*t out of enemies near cars Im sourcing but some/most MC supply missions that involve a van, you cant actually blow the van up until you get in it so it might be the same on that barge mission

Won't they get affected somewhat by the rocket debris? I find it hard to believe that firing rockets in the vicinity of the car won't give it any damage. I guess I'll try it later to see for sure.

the trick is to blow the cars up before you get the cargobob , otherwise they take damage on the barge , from what i can remember

Ok, let me explain.

Land bob close to pickup point.

Call in your ceo buzzard, blow up enemies.

Go back to bob, pick up car.

Barge mission on west side, land bob on the shore

Barge mission on east side, land bob on one of the small roads in the quarry.

If you land bob on the grass close to the barge you have to run back to the quarry where your buzzard spawns.

Drive car to bob if it's car meet and it's hard to get to the car with bob.

I been doing this for months, 0 damage every time.
