^^ Strange. If I park mine outside on the street it will explode even before I get to the laptop. As you can see if you click on the link I posted above other people have the same problem. R* logic :) . But parking on the roof always works - so no big deal.

It's kinda strange if I'm the only one it works for, I checked the link and I actually answered the same about parking in the streets there also. Which warehouse do you have and is it easy to get on the roof from the ground?
I never said you you were the only one it worked for. I have the one in La Mesa.I know you didn't say that, but seemed like most people here had that problem

In regards to the most excellent warehouse over at La Mesa. I found leaving my Bob in the parking lot a pain to pick up cars and it would end up destroyed sometimes.

Now I just land Bob east of the warehouse just by the junction. No pick up worries and Bob stays in one piece every time

I just park it on the roof, same with my Buzzard and Swift when I fly those over there.

Yup - it'll stay there and it's 100% safe from panicking NPC's.

Mine stays put if I park it in Murrieta Heights right outside the warehouse, I did notice that if you exit it and it's too close to/overhanging a wall (the rotors) or still moving on your radar, that's when it blows.

Is there any way to correctly stealth the stealth missions? And if you stealthily kill all the guards will you still be chased by the annoying SuperVolitos?

Also, are the enemies in sourcing missions infinite or do they give up after a few waves? Any good hiding spots where you're unlikely to get killed?

Trying to minimize all the costs without using helicopters/death tactics. Got the Sell missions covered already - 4 waves of 2x Sultan RS to kill and a good hiding spot for the car so they usually don't damage it while I'm waiting for them.

for security keys , its possible stealth kill guards and having no supervolitos but so far , i've done that feat the one near the LS university ( even in that part , you don't need to kill everysingle of them . just quietly stroll the car away but don't show it to them )

i'd say they spawn up to 8 times , the difficult part is if they driving a super like RS or 900R ( especially if source vehicle is a muscle car ) , you won't be shake them off that easy

I've tried stealth killing all guards where it's warranted and have never been 100% successful, on foot. There always seems to be overlapping vision cones so there's always at least 2 that have their eyes on each other at all times. At the places with stunt jumps, approaching from the front of the ramp and just walking up to the car works perfect. No guard hostility and no choppers, or Armored Schafters. I've only been successful for the car key find. If you approach slow and far away enough in a Buzzard and kill them all from max distance, is the only successful one I get. When you achieve that one, you drive by 2 Kurumas, that are empty, on your trip to your warehouse.

Also, are the enemies in sourcing missions infinite or do they give up after a few waves? Any good hiding spots where you're unlikely to get killed?

The sourcing works the same as selling. Top End is 4 waves, Middle is 3, low is just 2. Source enemies can come as 2 Buzzards, A supervolito and and armored schafter combo, 2 900Rs, or 2 kurumas. Look for alleyways and places where your car is at least protected completely from 1 direction. Like near a building or underpass, or windmill. You are going to have to move away from your car as the dick holes in the cars will drive right up to where you parked your source vehicle and shoot it and you together.

Yes, the selling part is easiest to figure out. Just a tip, if you have an AK or Tank or other armored vehicle, you can park it near your spot you prepare for the Sultan ambush, and simply jump into it for added protection. I use my AK when I don't feel like standing around and wasting 4 nades.

Its possible in the missions were you have to retrive the car from inside a garage, but the guard who has the keys is randomized, which means you may need help from an associate if you plan to kill them all without triggering the guards.

Also possible in the missions were the car is being used for a stunt in a ramp, just sneak past the guards, enter the car, trigger the boost and drive home safely.

Also, are the enemies in sourcing missions infinite or do they give up after a few waves? Any good hiding spots where you're unlikely to get killed?

they eventually give up after some waves, but finding a hiding spot can be tricky since the sourcing missions happens in different places, you need to know the map beforehand.

You can also sell the cars in sessions that don't have any grifers or aren't much crowded, the enemies wont spawn in those, I never had a problem with other players in sales.

I use a cargobob with these stunt sourcing missions. Don't kill the quards, but just hover above the car and hook it on. It will give you the message that the stunt option is disabled. Put on body armor because you get a few shots fired at you...

Hi guys, please, what is the ratio of cars you need in your warehouse to only source 'Top ranges'

Keep the 10 different cars of standard range and the 10 different cars of mid range in your warehouse. And less then the 12 different cars of the top range...

If you start with an empty warehouse, sell only the top range cars, it's that simple...

Any tips on the actual source vehicle missions? I struggle with the Sandy Shores airfield race (cant snipe for sh*t, car drives off), ones where you have to bob them off a boat (cant outrun buzzards, so I stop and try to take them out but its just a pain) and one that has police chasing them, bastard always racks up a 10k repair bill for me.

Those three are definitely some of the few harder ones. All I can say is for the one where they're racing around a circuit, don't even bother trying to snipe them or stopping with with your car. Call your PV before you get to the circuit and then just get in front of the source car and AP pistol the driver's ass or use any other weapon (AP Pistol just makes it a lot quicker so you don't risk damaging the car more for every shot you miss with another weapon).

For the ones offshore, land on the island nearby (if there is one, there's two variations of this mission, one of them doesn't have an island nearby) and snipe or just kill the guards in any way before you snatch the car up with your 'Bob. After you do that, elevate up as high as you can before flying any further... doing this will keep the Buzzards from constantly firing at you (they might still get a few shots in when you're high up but not as consistently). Fly to the dropoff and gradually descend as you get closer, don't descend abruptly.

For the police one, you'll know it's a chase if you look at the map on the pause menu and the blue car icon is just slightly off a road path... it's usually on straightaways too so you can tell before you get there. Try to be at a safe distance from the blue icon where you can still see the car but you're not close enough for the chase to trigger. If you're precise with it, you can snipe the driver before he even moves and then get in the car to call Lester for cops removal (don't call him before, otherwise you'll get three stars immediately after getting in the source car). If you don't manage to do that, then have your personal vehicle at the ready for both methods regardless.. just chase the car and get in front and shoot the driver. Damage shouldn't be that hefty, provided you used an AP Pistol to make quick work of him.

What I like to do for the track ones is getting into the track with my car, and shooting at the other racers, not the car you want to steal. This will "cancel" race and make the drivers leave the track and go to the roads, but it doesn't trigger a panic event, so they'll drive at regular traffic speeds.

From there just use the same strats as the moving vehicle ones.

You can take a million potshots at the racers with a silenced sniper and they won't freak out ;)

Also remember that the choppers aren't that smart and will always chase you in a straight line. You can use that to your advantage. If the choppers get too close - in a source mission or in any other mission in the game - then quickly descend and fly straight at any high structure. It's best if your altitude is about 50% of the top of the structure you are flying towards. When you are close then quickly fly around it and reach the same course as before. If you do it correctly the chopper(s) are now flying directly towards the structure, and when they reach the structure they will brake hard and ascend to fly over the structure - not around it, and sometimes they will even hit the structure and explode. It means that you are just gone - bye bye :) . Edited by C64fanatic

No Use For A Name

I got the police incident on Route 68 earlier. I've always flown out there, killed the cops with my Hydra/Buzzard, stole the vehicle and called Lester. This time, the car blew up. Hasn't happened before, does anyone know if Rockstar changed the vehicle mechanics? I really hope we can't destroy the car in these types of missions now

Surely you could always destroy the car in steal missions. I haven't tried it on every one, but I know for a fact you could on some because I did it on purpose for the ones I didn't like.

I use a cargobob, but the method for that one with the police incident is similar if you're going to drive the car back: Just land your aircraft nearby, kill the cops with normal firearms, then get in the car and immediately call Lester. From there I switch and fly it back with the cargobob, or you can drive.

The 3 missions where the car was involved in a crime are easy to do without blowing it up. Land your cargo Bob nearby, walk-up to the first cop by the barricade, pistol whip him, shoot the other 4 cops rapidly, jump in the car as your calling Lester and you should have the cops called off before more cops show up. As to the question about blowing up the car, usually the car won't blow up unless another vehicle or other explosive is close by. No I don't think they changed anything. Edited by VulcanFanatic

Others have said similar strategies but the way I deal with the 3 different barge missions is to fly my cargo Bob to the nearby shore close to the barge, spawn a buzzard, go out towards the barge, hold back just far enough to get a missle lock and fire one missle at a time until all bad guys are dead, then pass over to make sure no bad guys remain, fly back to cargo Bob, pick up car, then ascend straight up as far as possible until the buzzards appear. Then push left stick forward hard until you get back to your warehouse and deliver car. If done right, buzzards won't catch you. If you only source the x80 proto, it's the lightest car among top range and you won't lose that much altitude as your hauling ass to your warehouse.Likewise, the Roosevelt valor is the heaviest, causing you lose altitude a lot faster, with buzzards likely catching up and causing damage.

I land my bob nearby and walk up to the cops with Lester on hold and the clear cops selected. Click as soon as you get the wanted level and just get in the car and drive off. The cops don't find it suspicious at all that your throw the body out of the car and drive it off.

In other words, the cars you'll be sourcing from now on are going to be completely random and can even be standard or mid range even if you have a lot of those stored already?

If that's the case, that sucks. The cooldown for selling cars should really be lower for standard and mid range cars than it is for top range.

It's almost like Rockstar wants people to start using glitches.

Tomorrow I will try to get more cars and if doesn't work, I will have to change my business plan to allocating more time to resupplying the MC businesses and disposing all the cars.

I am sorry, this is a false alarm. I just sold the Proto, T20 and Osiris Collection but per checking now the cars are still there! I already got the money but the cars are still there..WEIRD.

Well, technically that method should be called "31 car method" because is at 32 cars stored when it doesn't work anymore.

How boring must be to source the same top car again and again and again. With different colors and plates, but the same.
