Anyone try to do the solo session glitch, and when you got it to work the car you were going to steal suddenly caught fire just for it to end the mission?

Were you already in a lobby and then tried to boot everyone else after you had gotten the car?

People have reported that issue, but I've only seen those reports with the situation above.

I've done 100% of my I/E with MTU=579 lobbies and never had a self-destructing car and only one Cargobob hook failure

579? That's a very specific number. Is there anything special about it that just 700 wouldn't do?

I've had players join my lobby at all numbers (rare, but it can happen) so I set my number to just one above the minimum.

Some people say "800 is enough" but I've had multiple join me together at that number.

That's because you have a good Internet connection ;)

I know everyone says that when you steal a car, you should get out and kill the enemies. How long do you wait until the enemies show up?

For me, they dont show up right away so I have to drive a little bit, but by the time they show up my car gets damaged even a little bit. Is there a sure way to never get any damage on steal/sell missions?

From what I've seen it's about two blocks away.

About 600 meters

I have the same problems. 250/30 means whenever I potato a lobby I have to stay in it by myself if I want it to stay empty. As soon as I invite one friend in, people start joining.

Would the enemies spawn if I steal a street vehicle and drive up to trigger them? Or do I always have to be in the export vehicle?

only the export vehicle triggers em.

I say just blow past em and take a little damage and try to keep it under $2000

Just go the spawn location and find a spot where you can safely park your car and have some cover. Shoot the first guys on foot, then order a Turreted Limo or a Buzzard and blow them to bits.

They only spawn if you are near the vehicle. After a while you get a feeling where to get out of it and start the shooting. Just drive slow until you see the first on the minimap.

No Use For A Name

If you have the Lombank office, the most efficient way to do I/E is to buy a cheap Del Perro apartment and start up a heist so you have a warp point. You'll get an invite the second after you deliver the car, Warp back, drive next door, source another.

Not had a chance to read all of this thread but is there a logic that R* use to determine what vehicles you get given to source as in standard, mid and top ranges? I had a spell where I got about 10 standard ranges in a row whilst a friend got about 8 top ranges in a row, Is it totally random? My warehouse is pretty mixed with a ratio of standard(12) Mid (16) and top (12). Even when I tried to get top ranges down to about 4 left I am still given lots of standard and mid ranges.

I have got to the point where I simply do not want standard ranges - I go and blow then up. Also, R* logic you can get a mission that is a simple collect and drive to warehouse about 1.5 miles away for a top range yet a poxy sabre turbo is miles away and you have to do the friggin' cargobib nonsense

Have 10 standard and 10 mid cars stored in your warehouse.. no duplicates.. 10 different mid and standard range cars. The next few cars you source until you hit 32 cars will all be top range cars so try not to have more than 32 in the warehouse otherwise you'll get more duplicates of the standard and mid range cars.

Loose the 6 midrange duplicates and the 2 lowrange duplicates so you have all 10 diffrent lowrange and all 10 diffrent midrange cars. Sell a few of you toprange cars and from that point on you will only get toprange cars when you source a car. But do not have more then 12 toprange cars in your warehouse.

MTU 800 works for me. The first lobby I land in might attract players but doesn't most of the time. If I have to go on an find another lobby all other lobbies after that are player free. Today I played in the same lobby for over 3 hours and just one crew mate joined in that time. They left after a while and I was alone to go about my business.

I used to use 578, but 800 works much better for me. Funny enough, I had people join at 578 at times and the loading time was always very long, had to join multiple times often. At 800 it goes much faster and so far I've always been alone.

So yeah, 800 is great.

Maze Bank West works even better as it's right across the street from Del Perro apartment

Has anyone encountered an issue where they go to export a vehicle, finish customizing it and get put outside with no car and it's gone from your warehouse? Happened to me today for the first time. Checked my transaction log and it didn't show the 20000 to customiz3 it but it was still gone from my warehouse.

Yes

Yes, except the Rockstar services failed on me and took 20k away from me as well as the Reaper I was about to sell.. even though I wasn't able to sell it and I still took the time/effort to source it.

Then I had to source another car and it's a standard range... -_-

only the export vehicle triggers em.

I say just blow past em and take a little damage and try to keep it under $2000

This; if it's only a 2-3 km drive, I usually take $100-$500 in damage just blowing past them (basically what I'd spend on ammo to kill them). For whatever reason, if there's a second ambush (which usually happens when it's more than 3 km for me), they always seem to do way more damage on the second ambush (another $1000-$2000 in damage) in the second or two that I'm within their range as I blow past them. This assumes no crashes, obviously.

Generally, if it's 4 or more km away, I'll pull into a safe spot and kill them.

Anyone had deliveries where crashing heavily doesn't do anything to the damages?

I rolled down the mountainside delivering to Devine house and still got $125k. Bullets still raise damage though but broken tail lights, scratches on roof, broken windshield and a smashed fender don't.

Posted this before but just a little reminder:

If you're a decent driver and you've chosen not to stand and fight, you might think it's a good idea to blast through traffic and race to the buyer's location.

That is not the smartest thing to do if you want to keep most of your profits.

Enemies on the sell mission may drop off the minimap after a little while but that doesn't mean they've completely disappeared on you yet. Not immediately anyway.

If you don't see them on the minimap anymore but they were there a few seconds ago, a new pair should not have spawned up ahead yet.

In other words, if you don't go as fast as possible and instead slow down a bit you can actually keep them in the picture and avoid being ambushed from the front.

All you have to do is make sure there's at least one turn between yourself and the pursuing crew and you're golden. If you don't slow down too much they won't catch

up with you but they also won't despawn and cause a new pair to get you into trouble.

It takes a bit, though. You have to watch your speed, the road, the traffic as well as the minimap all at the same time. But if you can multitask like that, I think that's the best way

of doing it. The alternative being knowing the route very well and being able to predict where they'll spawn. Sometimes you're in a good place and you can avoid the ambushing party as well.

I'd just suggest to do what I said in this post if you're not that sure of yourself and you want to be a little safer.

However, when disaster strikes, it really sucks.

Well most of the time you'll be able to drive past them and not get that much more damage. The cost won't go up that high and you'd otherwise spend that on ammo anyway.

And like I said, sometimes a little predicting and quick thinking can help you avoid the ambush altogether.

But that one time that you crash into something.. Man. It happened to me just once while helping a friend on the first day of the update. The result was that one of the cars was ramming me into a corner and wouldn't stop. Not like the old hostile NPC's that hit you once then just stood still and shot you with their SMG's or pistols.

I like to think of my method as a bit of a middle ground. I did all my sales just racing to the end point as well but it wasn't a very fun drive when I had to constantly prepare for enemies coming from the front a second time, so I slowed down a bit. Since then I've also done numerous sales (from the La Mesa warehouse) using the spot Cali shared earlier. It makes a sale mission take what feels like an eternity and I spend money on ammo. BUT. I get to drive a car from point A to B at my own speed with no hassle.

What I would suggest and I'm sure Cali or someone else has already figured this out, is (keeping in mind how good a driver you are) if your expenses from battling the enemies weigh up against the lost profits from just racing to the buyer. Because silly as I was, I used some explosives once. And then I thought to myself, what am I doing? I've never sold a car that was damaged and lost me as much money as I'm throwing away right now! So now I just use my carbine or whatever else I can, let the enemies get out of the cars and shoot them.

EDIT: One thing I do like about this quite a lot, though. I don't have a lot of people to play with right now so it hardly applies to me, but if I were to be recruiting for my crew I would use these missions to see how well new members drove. Everyone can just say they're really good. I think I'm alright but far from the best. But my results so far (with that one mishap) have been pretty darn good, even in the snow.

If you sell a few cars with people who claim they're good and you decide to just rush to the end point together, well.. they can't lie about the numbers on your screen.

Well, it's not really about the bullets costing more than the damage taken. On average I kill the enemies with 6 bullets, so only 96 bullets in total for all the waves. But it takes about two minutes longer to deliver the car, so instead of doing a sale every 23 (or so) minutes you can only finish a sale once every 25 minutes. That is what makes it a lot more profitable to just drive the car instead of killing all enemies when you're continuously selling cars.

I have also found this to be the best method. From a time vs. value perspective this is aces.

I call it "leading" the attackers. Basically, I want to get in front on them as quickly and cleanly as possible. I go hard until the red dot disappears and then back off the throttle to about half, watch the radar, and once the appear again i try to keep them 1-2 blocks away. Typical loss 0-500 and super fast.

I love fighting so sometimes I stop and do it for fun on Standard vehicles, but if I'm in grind mode each minute I spend fighting is worth 3-4k so leading the attackers is most effective.

You can pick up prostitutes during I/E sourcing missions and they don't start to panic if you don't stop somewhere after driving for a while; you can also drive the car into your warehouse with them still in it, but they will disappear. I was hoping they'd get out of the car inside and run around screaming.

somebody said that the enemies (also the enemy buzzards) spawn infinitely again and again when they get killed/destroyed.

i'm not sure if this only applies to the sell missions or also to the sourcing.

if this was true it wouldn't really make any sense at all to kill any of the enemy npcs as there would spawn new ones for them.

or has anybody tried if they stop spawning after a while when they all have been killed?

There is an option in the online menu, cant remember properly but i think it says "Jobs" . You can find a nice feature there. You can actually drive on the same path along others and whoever arrives first is called a winner. i think they named it Racing?

Ok, jokes aside: What it will show you is what kind of person you are dealing with. If he rushes and arrives crash free: recruit him. If he rushes and messes up bigtime, abandon him. If he takes his time and arrives crash free: he actually cared about your car. If he takes his time AND crashes: its a girl, recruit her!
