Hello there, I have a question regarding the cooldown. Does it resets to 20 minutes if you log off or the timer just freezes? Does the cooldown continue to pass in missions/heists/races etc. and invite only lobbies?

the cooldown is only counting down when you're playing GTAO, if you quit it just freezes wherever it was, but when you find a new session it seems to add more time to the cooldown, not sure exactly how much.

Is there a consensus on the best special vehicle garage locations? I made the mistake to buy the one by LSIA. I want to trade it for another but I don't wanna screw up again.

IMO Murrieta Heights (most expensive) and use the highway access through the broken walls a *lot*.

In any event I would avoid the cheapest one, it's a warzone.

The cheapest one is absolutely fine imho, great links to roads and even railways, the gangs who hang around near the warehouse will only do anything if you have a weapon drawn or if you run over one of them.....when i'm bored waiting for the cooldown to finish i just go and run a few gang members over for the lulz tbh

I think there's approx 10m cooldown when joining a new session.

It doesn't go down if you're in missions/heists/races but will in IO lobby.

I purchased the La Puerta location. I believe it is the 2nd most expensive one. I think it's great, spawns my buzzard right out the door and also easy to land helicopters. Lots of open roads to it, and also closest to my Office (Maze Bank).

This video here helped me make my decision.

Yup, that's the one I finally settled for, after visiting and inspecting each and every location. Wish I'd seen the vid before, woudda saved me a lot of time :D

Im not getting this 10 mid/standard range thing that somehow results in more top range? Can someone explain please.

Ive only recently just got a warehouse (the cheapest one) and sourced about 8-10 cars, and sold 5 (3 top range, 1 mid, 1 standard) all done by myself and 1 at a time

allinclusive

Fill up your warehouse without selling anything. At one point you'll have 10 standard, 10 mid and 12 highend cars.

From that moment on you can sell and source highend cars all the time. Just don't get above 32 vehicles in total.

Anyone try to do the solo session glitch, and when you got it to work the car you were going to steal suddenly caught fire just for it to end the mission?

Were you already in a lobby and then tried to boot everyone else after you had gotten the car?

People have reported that issue, but I've only seen those reports with the situation above.

I've done 100% of my I/E with MTU=579 lobbies and never had a self-destructing car and only one Cargobob hook failure

So I just recently purchased a vehicle warehouse, & had the initiation from hell. This is how it went.

>Source car, Stirling GT. Nice 1st car to steal.

>Assistant tells me that it's out off the coast. Of course.

>Call Cargobob instead of going to steal one.

>Pull up to Cargobob, jetfag strafes me a few times, but fails to acheive anything. Files away & dies in a crash 20 seconds later.

>Fly out to location, no possibility to snipe the guys on the barges. So I just fly out.

>Cargobob takes heavy damage, aborted & fly back to spawn a Buzzard.

>Go back, kill the guys, just for another jetfag to kill me then fly away.

>Got another Cargobob, finally retrieve the Stirling.

>Jetfag comes back with a Buzzard, forced to ditch the car & jump out after it.

>Shredded by AI Buzzard, shoot it down after respawning & the prick in the Buzzard still hanging around.

>$34K max damage. RIP.

>Drive the stricken Stirling back to the warehouse while chased by AI Buzzards, but I made it, just.

...thankfully they aren't all this bad.

Something I noticed: I am a collection hunter. Most of the times, I have friends in my session, helping me if I need to sell a collection (and it is worth while, since they also get the collection bonus). Now most of the time, imitatively after selling a collection the likely hood of sourcing a new collection vehicle seems to rice. Is it just luck, coincidence or does other have that too? Is there a max amount of full collection you can have? Somebody noticed things around whether or not the game gives you a collection vehicle?

If you're collection hunting, when you are looking for a certain car destroy it's duplicate when you have all ranges at max, that being 10 standard 10 mid and 12 top. After you destroy the model you are looking for go source a car, it will be one of the models of that car just make sure you know the plate you are looking for.

I found if it wasn't the plate I was looking for if I just destroyed it and sourced another it would source me the exact same car. There may be other ways around this but I found I had to deliver it to my warehouse then destroy it to get a different model.

People have said if you switch sessions and resource that it will give you a different car, I didn't find this effective as I tried and it sourced the exact same one. Instead what I think happens is when you find a new session it's just randomly choosing one of the models and it's just luck getting what you're looking for. Maybe if you get in the car and then destroy it it will advance you to the next car on the list I never tested that I would just deliver whatever I got and then destroy it. Never had to do it more than twice to get what I wanted.

579? That's a very specific number. Is there anything special about it that just 700 wouldn't do?

If you have an incontinent cargobob, I found a workaround (I think)

Basically it's like some of the dupe glitches - lobby-dependent*. So you need to find a lobby where it works and stick with it.

My method was simply;

1) Spawn in office

2) Exit via cargobob

3) Grab an NPC car

4) Fly around and see if it releases - try flying near other players.

5) If it does, New Session and go to (1)

6) If it doesn't, drop and pick up another, fly around some more. Once you're happy it doesn't release then that's your sesssion.

Took me 7 lobbies but once I found one, it worked.

* Apparently. In any event it seems related to the lag.

StarteDoes to sell down all duplicates yesterday. My warehouse was full. I had 4 Zenormous and a lot of other dubs. But I will get there ;)

Had an idea the other day.

If you're a solo player like me just sell the best handling cars and keep the not so good handling ones in your warehouse. Then you'll only need to steal the good handling ones again, making life a little easier.

P.S. Unless you have a cargobob. Then bob away!

Quick question: Has anyone tried using the specialty vehicles in heists, since they're treated as personal vehicles (at least the only one that I own as of yet is, the Blazer Aqua)? I know their use would be limited, but I can see a couple set-ups where they might work well, since Pegasus vehicles aren't an option. Along those same lines, does the Phantom Wedge hook on to trailers/tankers, or is the hitch fully converted into a seat, and isn't functional?

It's a bittersweet day for me. Apparently, Rockstar got wind of people blowing up standard range cars just so they could get a better one next time. They now can't be destroyed till you get in them, then they act like any other car. But on the bright side, they also can't be damaged until you take possession. I'm now rolling up in a Hydra, blowing everything to hell, then driving off with $0 of damage.

I can't confirm this works on ALL cars. So far the only missions I've tried it in are the car meets and others where the car is surrounded by enemies

Does that really work without a code change?

As far as I can tell, there was a code change in the past week or so. Don't remember when I first noticed this.

Pretty sure I've got it figured out. As long as the car is parked, you can use explosive rounds without damaging it. They can only be destroyed if they're already in motion (amateur joyrider, circuit track race, etc), or after you take possession

I have been able to destroy a couple T20s on the fargin barge mission as of last week. So I suspect it only works on the standard and mid range cars. Next time I get one of these I'll try strafing using a Hydra or savage to test it out.

I've had players join my lobby at all numbers (rare, but it can happen) so I set my number to just one above the minimum.

Some people say "800 is enough" but I've had multiple join me together at that number.

I have used it to do haulage, so yes in that case. The Phantom Wedge is much faster than the regular truck cabs, and fun to plow through NPCs.

yes 800 didn't work for me either. 700 seems ok though but it is quite a lot slower at joining online and change sessions. I thought that a lower number would make it extremly slow.

I use MTU 600.

When I join online it might load for two minutes or so and sometimes just gives me timed out error, but I never have to try more than three times.

No one has ever joined my session so sometimes I forget that it actually isn't invite only.

MTU 800 works for me. The first lobby I land in might attract players but doesn't most of the time. If I have to go on an find another lobby all other lobbies after that are player free. Today I played in the same lobby for over 3 hours and just one crew mate joined in that time. They left after a while and I was alone to go about my business.

I was thinking, *IF* they work in heists too, if that's the case, it'd make Series A - Steal Meth interesting! Would be about the only reason I'd consider buy one too.

Pretty sure we'd have read about it on the forum if they did work in heists. And seeing how (apparently) they're not even available in contact missions, I doubt we can use them there.

But that's a pretty good idea you've got there! The sand kings are particularly bouncy and with the Wedge you wouldn't have to avoid them or take to the beach to bypass most of them.

There is a glitch that lets you request a special vehicle as a personal vehicle via the interaction menu, it works in contact missions but not sure about heist work since you have to choose a vehicle in the outfit selection of each setup/finale

I know everyone says that when you steal a car, you should get out and kill the enemies. How long do you wait until the enemies show up?

For me, they dont show up right away so I have to drive a little bit, but by the time they show up my car gets damaged even a little bit. Is there a sure way to never get any damage on steal/sell missions?

The car's value range is irrelevant.

I hadn't tried the cargobob missions, because f*ck the cargobob missions.

The only stealing mission I'm unsure of is the Speed-esque keep the car above 56 mph one. I just got a standard range one with no heat and the car parked in a Vinewood driveway. I fired a missile and it blew up. It's either the Speed one or the one with no heat at all during the theft/delivery
