I've stopped using the Cargobob as although I get 100% value every 4-5 cars it drops them for no reason & the damage to a high value is around $25-30,000 each time wiping out the savings I made if I just drive them as the damage is only a few thousand per car anyway.

Is that on PC? I heard they have the cargobob problem. On ps4 it works perfectly.

Are you guys using the Jetsam 'Bob btw.? Or is it just my poor skills that it takes me half a minute to get the car on the hook?

I've had a few spontaneous drops on PS4, maybe 2-3 out of 40 or so jobs using the Bob. There's speculation that it could be minor connection issues causing the hook to momentarily "forget" that it was holding something but no definite cause afaik.

Its been a known issue for quite a while but wasn't widely known until Cargobob became good for more than goofing around with the I/E jobs.

I use a Jetsam and afaik the difference is purely cosmetic... that hook is just a finicky bastard sometimes :D

Some time ago there was problems even on ps4. When i picked something up it would drop it almost every time when i reached a certain height. And it wasn't all that high even. Now i never have problems.

No I'm on PS4. Got sick of it dropping them & seems to happen if I make a sharp turn or go too fast or too high.

Wierd. Once i was taking off and didn't notice a small tree or whatever and the bob nearlymade a complete flip and it didn't release the car. It damaged the car for about 2000$ but it didn't let go.

So far i have not dropped a single car. Does this happen with newly spawned bobs or some that has been used for some time in the session? Because i have had a case of the hook glitching out and dropping(the actual hook). But it was one i had used for other jobs before so i ordered a new one and it worked fine again.

No it's my bob the new jetsam variant. Have a feeling it's connected to my crappy broadband i'm always losing connection or finding myself alone or play is laggy when more than 10 people are in session.

I read here and there that the Jetsam might have a longer rope, just haven't seen any real confirmation of it.

Strange thing is that, back in the day, I played Coveted over and over and picked that container up whilst basically already flying to the drop-off and could even pick up moving cars in a heartbeat.....may just be rusty.

Took 'em long enough.

But anyways, you should add this video in the first post and might as well close this topic.

Ah yes, the Cargobob. I am considering one, but so far almost all of my sales have only resulted in a 1-2% market value loss which I think is pretty acceptable. Getting a cargobob would take a long time to earn that money back in terms of higher profit vs price of 'bob.

Decisions decisions.

yeah I wouldn't recommend getting a cargobob just for the occasional import/export mission that requires one. I simply don't bother with those cargobob missions now, I have completed one successfully hauling the car all the way back to the warehouse under the cargobob, but i've also had too many that ended in the cargobob being destroyed, etc - last time I did this mission the hook wouldn't deploy and I couldn't pick up the car - not wasting any more time with that mission.

The Jetsam and military Cargobob are identical. Just a different livery.

The dropping cars issue is on PS4, XB1, and PC.

Thank u for the info. Even though my associate didnt get a car bonus he was getting the rp and 5k paycheck periodically.

We r going to try something new now. Same session but will both be ceo. Maybe that will lighten the npc involvement.

If others r in session we will roll together still both as ceo's and cover each other. In my experience, it will keep others away from us. Most will think we are already battling even i am just following and stay out of it. I think with so much to do now there is less of a reason to screw with others on ps4. My son plays ps3 and it is bad....people r bored with no updates.

I suggest not buying Cargobob. You need to do alot more in order to hit your breakeven of your investment(s)

This. Only get the 'Bob if you want the 'Bob, not because you're after profits. The small increase should serve more as a slight cherry on top rather than the main course. If you already have one, you're golden. Mine dates back from 2013 when it was $185,000 (unintentional by Rockstar, but they took over a year to fix it), but when F&F came out Rockstar "gave me one" which changed nothing in-game, but made it legitimate.

Using a Cargobob (if you've gotten good at it) saves time on every mission and makes damage a rare nuisance instead of a constant threat. However, the normal price for one is a big piece of overhead cost to cover, so don't buy one unless you are a terrible or unlucky driver, or they eventually go on sale again.

You can use a Cargobob for almost all I/E jobs though. I think the ones with a speed-triggered bomb on the car are the only exception.

I'm not certain it saves time, certainly it's not as fun as driving back to warehouse. However saying that it's good to mix it up and a stress free journey.

Steal one. I always find one hovering between LSIA and merryweather dock.

As been said previously. Fly it to office and auto land it before anything else. It will then not disappear when going in warehouse etc.

I use the Jetsam. Just practice on NPC cars for a bit before you use it on mission vehicles. I haven't had the dropping problem except once, but I'm pretty sure it's because an NPC bullet hit it in just the right spot. Or that could be coincidence, who knows.

Also some cars are easier to pick up than others.

Silly question maybe... Does the jetsam have a magnet or hook? Is it easier if so?

I have also noticed if you bump it gently a few times with the cargobob, it does not cause any damage, so you only have to worry about coming down hard on it.

If you own a warehouse, what happens if you try to buy another one? Does it prompt you to replace your existing one, or buy an additional one?

The La Mesa warehouse is getting mighty busy these days.

You can only own one warehouse (at this time).

Anyone bought a second warehouse yet?

You can only own one vehicle warehouse unless they changed something today. I don't see why you'd need a second anyway considering cooldown between sales.

Top Range Specialist sales are now $150k.

XBone? it was a R* error. if you restart the game it'll be back to $100k.

Was thinking it'd give you more volume to be able to gather collections.

Can anybody tell me what the current payout for the Collections are? I think they may have changed.

Has the actual export payout been increased? When I was on earlier I was selling top range vehicles for 150k
