This is 26 pages now and I don't want to wade through it all.How much do your crew mates get if they help you sell cars?

$5000-10000, unless you sell a collection, in which case they get that and the bonus amount for the collection.

How do you set it up so they get the bonus? Did a delivery first time with help last night. I drove and my associate covered me in his own car. Was top end delivery but he got nothing. Does he need to be in warehouse when i start the sell or have to be driving?

 

My first time actually having an associate. Nice having backup but i want to make sure he is paid somehow.

Collections vary between 2 and 4 cars. On the computer in the warehouse click "Collections" at the top right, this will show you the collections and what cars you have in them, just click "sell collection" if you have all the cars in one and want to sell it.

You need enough associates to drive all the cars at the same time - so a 4 car collection needs you and three associates. All associates must be in your warehouse when you click "sell".

You cannot modify collections, so you won't get that option when clicking sell.

 

If all cars are delivered you and every associate will be paid the bonus amount. You have to watch for it as its paid in to your bank and will not appear on the transaction log.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but if anyone is still having trouble not finding cars when they get sent a picture of the location, you're supposed to stand in a position where you have the same view as in the picture. It's as if the picture of the location has been taken from the car's position.

Just a warning. If you are stealing a car and have to shoot and there is no clear target, if you are on auto aim then the auto aim will go straight to the car. So be careful with your shots.

Any ideas how to get other cars for collection bonus as I need 6 more but keeps giving me same cars all time

 

Have tried to get 100% then sell one by one or in group cars but still get same ones

Good tip. Another one is to throw a couple of gas grenades if the bad guys take cover behind the car you wanna steal. The gas will kill the guys but won't damage the car.

How do you save the money you make from this? I play it solo and when i've had enough and I want to turn my console off it usually doesn't save my last selling mission...how do you save your progress?

There's a location in Sandy Shores, at least for a collection. I don't know the name, but it's on the right side of the two lane road leading from Trevor's trailer to the weed business near the highway.

 

Also you might have a collection delivery to the movie studio

You both have to be selling a car. And I'm not 100% sure, as my buddies have always been inside the warehouse when we started a sale, but I believe they have to be in the warehouse to start it.

Everyone has to be inside the warehouse, and everyone has to be driving a car to sell if you want them to get paid for helping.

 

If they are not driving a car to sell, they can still assist obviously with firepower like yours did, but they recieve nothing, as technically they are not part of the mission.

Anyone sold cars to the private buyer and the middle option?

 

To a private buyer there was only one wave of enemies in a solo session - for the middle option no enemies at all but a little more driving (I had to collect some papers) making the middle option interesting if you just want to get rid of a car.

 

Also the cool down timer seems to be lower

I tried the middle option in a solo session and i was attacked constantly.

 

I would like to hear from the ps4 guys who use the MTU trick to get an empty lobby. Are you able to invite people to that lobby or will they get kicked too? It would be nice to know if i should happen to find anyone to help me sell a collection.

I think the Cargobob is to car theft missions what the Buzzard is to crate missions. It's the best way to get the car to the warehouse with zero damage.

 

I only wish they made it a CEO vehicle.

Amen. Even with the occasional spontaneous detachment bug, the overall efficiency boost is soooo worth it. The Bob was my one regretful purchase but its totally redeemed itself.

Just note that while missiles will not lock on to you in a Vehicle Cargo, they will still target your 'bob with one attached. Can make for interesting landings.

You will get separated. Even if your friend is able to initially stay, you will get separated and that's no good when selling a collection.

Invite your friend to session, go change your settings back to normal and have your friend invite you back.

 

Or you can do the date and time setting while having normal MTU and have an instant solo lobby that a friend can join.

 

Go to settings, date and time, change manually. Change month one up (now that it's december change year one up) and confirm settings. Go back to GTA, you will be frozen, wait 5-10 seconds, go back to settings and change it back to correct date. Go back to game and everyone leaves the session.

Ah yes, the Cargobob. I am considering one, but so far almost all of my sales have only resulted in a 1-2% market value loss which I think is pretty acceptable. Getting a cargobob would take a long time to earn that money back in terms of higher profit vs price of 'bob.

This. Only get the 'Bob if you want the 'Bob, not because you're after profits. The small increase should serve more as a slight cherry on top rather than the main course.

Those were two nice tricks. So with the date changing trick, will people start to join soon after so that you have to do it right before the sale?

Also consider that it can save you repair costs on the Steal missions as well, and that being able to complete your Steals and Sales faster by flying means you can move on to the next moneymaking activity sooner. Hard to judge exactly what this is worth since it varies so greatly from person to person.

 

The Bob definitely isn't essential, especially if you can consistently get your I/E jobs done with little damage. You don't want to run out and buy it the instant you have the cash like a Buzzard. But, if you feel you have enough money to spare, it is definitely a useful efficiency booster and quality of life perk.

Not only that, but you have to be able to use it properly as well. I'm fumblin' and bumblin' that hook all over the place, by the time I get it on I've done more damage to it than I would just driving it;)
