Edit... I thought of more. Man this topic really got my brain deep diving... I could add someplace like Whiterun to my list. Cutter De Blanc
Falls End, Montana from Far Cry 5, before the cultists took over though Mineral Town (Harvest Moon: Back To Nature) Onett, Eagleland (Earthbound) Koholint Island (The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening) Anywhere in Alderney, except like y'know, the industrial park and prison Edited January 21, 2021 by Cutter De Blanc Mister Pink
The Time Ranger
Going to bump this again because why not. The Legend Of Zelda Wind Waker was my first open world game, I have fond memories of traversing those sapphire blue seas while the swelling soundtrack encouraged you on. The map was mainly ocean dotted with islands but some of those islands had a cool comforting vibe to them, like a little haven from the troubles of Hyrule. I always liked Windfall island, a bustling little town with people milling around and great views of the sea. The starting island, Outset island is nice too but it feels a bit like an outpost, Windfall feels more alive and active. They also have Tingle locked up, and that's always appreciated. Plus it has Hyrule Elvis The Tracker and AkshayKumar
LittleBlueTroll
@trip been playing Skyrim Again lately, definitely a good shout on Whiterun. Especially with the Tundra homestead just outside (which is probably my favourite home) trip

I often think about living in a place like that, by some creek. Mountains, forest. Just nice nature. I'm picking The Loft in RDR2. I go to that place every now and then. I really love the view of the mountains, but that spot looks very inaccessible for other goods and services to come in and it doesn't seem like a good spot for farming my own food. Mister Pink
Been deep in Cyberpunk recently and I just love imagining myself in some of the apartments there. I sometimes just sit and think of how I'd entertain guests etc. There's that one apartment that's like those lofts in NYC with the kind of old classic industrial elevator. In that apartment is a little loft and small library and a beanbag to chill and read. I love it. What I think is the real snig thing about some of these apartments is the step down into the living area. I love that it's concaved. Algonquin Assassin
Probably needs an update since my last post was from like 2016. Anyway. -Jackson (The Last Of Us Part II). For a series where the world has literally turned to hell from a deadly apocalypse it’s quite nice. -Haven Springs (Life Is Strange: True Colors). Not as quant as Arcadia Bay, but I do like the nestled between mountains setting. Mister Pink
Ducard
- Saint Denis from RDR2. More specifically, the area near where Algernon Wasp (the guy who gives you the Exotics quest) is located. It's not exactly the crowded part of the city but also not a totally isolated area. It's a bit towards the outskirts and so I always found it really. - Rhodes from RDR2. A small town that seems to have everything you need and not too far from the city. - Epilogue part 1 location in RDR2, forgot the name but despite the lack of connectivity it looked stunning. - Most places in RDR2 come to think of it. - Broker/Dukes from GTA IV. Algonquin would probably be too crowded for my taste so these would hit the sweet spot. - Don't know the exact location but Italy from Uncharted 4: That's all I can think of right now, probably missing a few. It's a location in costiera amalfitana, in the south of Italy. The photos don't make it justice but yeah. The town in the background isn't mentioned but most likely (or based on) Positano, with Golfo di Salerno further beyond
