Rimmer
I think win Vice City Stories. It has many features, such as the purchase of businesses, the ability to swim and much more. And what do you think? Ratt Pakk
JohnDonovan
Liberty City Stories IMO I just loved its characters & narrative, the true Mafia GTA, it was fairly simplistic but had a wonderful charm & verve. Vice city stories was decent it had more content than LCS but Vic was very unconvincing and the story was fairly mediocre & forgettable, the overall cast of characters were preety meh for the most part, I only played through it once and once was enough. So I guess it comes down to Characters & narrative > Content. Also, Liberty City > Vice City Ratt Pakk, MyNameIsNotImportantBro, Payne Killer and 3 others 1

Lancerator
LCS in terms of characters, storyline and plot. VCS in terms of variety, features and setting. KGBeast, Rimmer, Ratt Pakk and 1 other
TommySpaghetti
San Andreas Stories. Oh, wait... Joke aside, I prefer Vice City Stories. It was funny seeing Lance Vance in his true form as a simple minded prick. As we all know he became a "backstabbing" prick two years later. Although, I do think the whole Vic and Louise relationship (if you could even call that one) was kinda stale. I'll have to give the story edge to Liberty City Stories but the setting and soundtrack has to go to Vice City Stories in my opinion. err5
What I don't like is the fact that while many new features have been implemented, some things got messed up. Examples: * A new hand-to-hand combat. And now sometimes the protagonist stops when punching while running. Melee weapons make him stop as well when used while running. The chainsaw is weakened, the Katana can't beautifully detach heads and kill with one swing like in LCS. * Swimming and a stamina bar. But why does the bar have to cover the armor bar ? This especially annoys me after getting the "infinite swimming" perk which makes the bar useless. Why do I often get ejected from land pretty badly after climbing out the water ? * The ability to switch aim even on enemies that are behind with L2/R2. But sometimes the gunfire shortly focuses on the floor when switching targets. Very, very rarely I'm unable to aim at someone and need to move a bit to be able to do so. * Map inconsistencies. Go inside an Empire Building, look at the radar. Save the game there and look again. Or place the Player Target somewhere at the mall, for instance at the Ammu-Nation blip, enter the mall and go in this case to Ammu-Nation. The Target blip should be stuck somewhere else. * Camera mode changes sometimes if an event occurs in an interior. Also the default camera distance seems a bit too higher compared to the one in LCS - can be 'fixed' by playing in widescreen mode. * A bicycle. Hold L2/R2 to force the drive-by animation and accelerate. There's no pedaling animation then. * JetSkis and other good stuff that allows driving on water. And too close map boundaries, especially in south-east area. Very noticeable when performing . And you can see the boat creates foam even when it's not touching water.* No Criminal Rating points, ranks only. On the other hand I love perfectly implemented features that I think should be available in previous games such as ability to replay rampages, to view cutscenes again after achieving 100%, to toggle popped Balloons, done rampages and USJs on the map. I prefer LCS, SlashTV is a fun and creative mini-game.Yes, 's proof of someone's creativity. Jeansowaty
I prefer VCS just because of the storyline and how many more features it grants compared to LCS. Both games are decent though VCS wins for me. Sunglasses, Rimmer, iiCriminnaaL and 3 others
Payne Killer
I prefer LCS. Much more grounded story, it was cool going back to LC. I did like the empire building of VCS, it worked good but it could of been improved. gooeyhole
Lexyz.
Both are great. While LCS is much more polished and bug-free,VCS has a lot more content(and with this come a lot of boring side missions as well) and a better story So yeah,I'd probably go with VCS Bonzi, Ratt Pakk and iiCriminnaaL
iiCriminnaaL
GTA Vice City Stories overall, whether it was the gameplay, atmosphere or story. Side characters were generally goofier than Liberty City Stories, but at least they're still not annoying as in TBOGT and GTA V. Talking about characters, the protagonist and antagonists have far more character development. I think its the situations Toni finds himself in that makes LCS a much more goofier and tonally light game despite all the f*cked up sh*t going around that Toni does. VCS as a whole feels more grounded and there's more stakes when Louise is involved so that probably drove me into the plot more. Lancerator
I believe the core of the analogy between LCS & VCS is focused on wheter you prefer the classy 80s Florida vibes or the New York centered Mafia tales from the '70s. Me I like VCS more than LCS, mainly because I like Miami more than New York and I like drug related tales more than I like Mafias. VCS' atmosphere was perfectly portrayed by the introduction of features like the Empire thing, swimming, etc. As for the graphics, the vivid colors from VCS astonished me more than any other GTA has ever done despite it being heavily criticed for having loose tweaks from VC. It would have been interesting if LCS was set during the golden era of the Mafia to introduce the GTA player to the '70s and ward off a little from the 80s and 90s (although IV and V were set in the '00s and '10s respectively) Edited June 16, 2020 by Lancerator ROCKSTAR MANIC and Ratt Pakk
ROCKSTAR MANIC
VCS has that edge over LCS. Why, because they have Phil "the legend" Collins playing himself, how could you beat that. Not only that the theme and atmosphere is perfectly executed in the 80s vision. A bit over the top but thats what makes it memorable. Empire building, side activities, cool vehicles, wacky and serious missions and everything in between. Top 5 soundtrack can't rank it cause its subjective. I find myself doing something every time in VCS. LCS is great, but theres a bit of staleness in the sense of the plot. Yes I do love the mafia theme, and more importantly that late 90s getting ready for Y2K scare vibes. But sometimes its a bit repetitive I can't find exactly but indeed VCS it has a better execution. LOVE THEM BOTH STILL THOUGH. Leone_Son, Ratt Pakk and Lock n' Stock

Eh Toni Cipriani didn't feel like a mobster at all. His relationship with Salvatore felt more like Smithers and Mr. Burns he was his personal errand boy and did everything Salvatore asked him. That said though I still enjoyed it mainly because of the other characters in the story. But I will say VCS is the better game but I did play LCS first and spent more time with LCS so It's tough for me to choose. A generic henchman. Not really bad, but barely anything in the story felt personal to Toni, even the antagonist. Zello
I wish R* made a San Andreas stories game to make it a stories trilogy. I think the San Andreas map would have been too big to fit on a UMD, maybe it should have been scaled down and just have been called "Los Santos Stories" (with Caeser as the protagonist). There's also the fact that alot of the events prior to SA were explained in The Introduction. That aside, VCS has the far better soundtrack, but I think I slightly prefer LCS gameplay-wise for this reason alone.
