My favorite moment from the whole Christmas stuff is not being able to play GTA on Christmas cause I'm usually away visiting family members. I've only seen snow in pictures. It's like dating Frosty The Snowman but long-distance relationship and when the day comes where you can finally meet him he melts away.

This. More snow time please Rockstar! ❄️☃️

Seeing snow for the very first time in 2013 was a blast (as were the Billion dollar bounties).

However, the Festive Surprise event of 2014 remains my favourite period of playing GTAO. Alarm set for midnight every evening for almost 3 weeks to go in search of the daily Special Crate item (a new exclusive was released at 00:00 GMT), trees in apartments, crate selfies, snow on current gen for the first time etc. Even though I was absolutely knackered by the end of it, it was pure adrenaline fueled festive fun.

my favorite is the snow, i still remember last year's snow event in gtao with my old account, i was driving my red and white sand king xl down the western highway from los santos with intentions of taking snow pictures at chilliad mt state park (sadly i no longer those pictures) but i still remember it plus taking a jet from fort zancudo and avoiding the ground to air missiles only to discover i did it inverted and close to the ground (i didn't crash)!

I suppose I can look forward to hackers attaching Chrismas trees to my character, attaching snowman costumes to my character, spawning Christmas trees with turbine blades at key locations on the map, etc.

I have posted this before, but I don't mind sharing again.

Last year, I was in an online session full of randoms on XB1.

I noticed a group of players gathering over at Sandy Shores and decided I was going to head over there and get 'splosive with them.

When I got there, I found about six or seven other players battling it out.

After a few minutes, one of the players got on his mic and suggested a snowball fight.

I got on my mic, as did several of the others. The rest could clearly hear us, as they joined in as well.

We made the rules simple: NO WEAPONS, ONLY SNOWBALLS.

For the next 20-30 minutes, I don't think I've ever – EVER – had so much pure fun playing GTA.

Between the mic commentaries, like "Die, b!tch, die... eat my frosty balls!" and the sheer hilarity of the event, the laughter crossing over our headphones was sheer joy in the most simple form, for all of us.

At that point, a few other players came into the mix. Some started shooting us and RPGing, but we eventually got them onboard and they joined in the fun too.

It ended with everyone meeting at the top of Chilliad on motorcycles and we had an impromptu "sled" race to the bottom.

I can't express with words how happy I was after that and for the 20-30 minutes, maybe longer, Los Santos was the safest, most cheerful place on Earth.

Cheers! :)

God damn, that warmed my heart.

My best memory, covering my friends cars in snow whilst they tried taking pics.

The one pic I have

special crates in the snow

Flying jets (Vestras, not Hydras) in whiteout conditions to green circles and then taking #crateselfies before picking them up. Fun times.
