Updates That Do Not Have To Be Installed

I've been thinking about this recently, for example when the Biker DLC was released, you had to simply install it. Now as we all know, since that DLC, Rockstar have added a few new Motorcycles etc. I am just wondering how we don't have to install certain updates like this and how it all works, how can some updates such as new vehicles be applied without us having to download an update like a main DLC, ie Biker, Finance & Felony etc, I know it is GTA Online and it is down to technology lol but it's something I have been wondering lately and I know you guys will have an answer! :)

Also sorry to Admins/Moderators if this is in the wrong section

Best Regards

Sorry to drag up an old thread guys, those new stunt race tracks we got recently, were they from the import/export DLC? I'm just confused as they were released so much later and there was not an update to download, they were just released that far later and were in fact in the import/export DLC?

Sorry guys, so maybe there is even more to be released from the import/export DLC lol?

^ No. Jobs (stunt races also counts) are being downloaded every time you try to join/host one. This way, Rockstar can just edit a job and everyone's console/PC will have the updated version of the job.

Think of it like how your own jobs works, you just published a new version of your race and people will immediately see the changes in-game even when they didn't bookmark your job again, because the game has to download your race before you're being able to start the race.

You won't notice this, because the file that needs to be downloaded is just a couple of bits (I don't know for sure), the file probably only contains the coordinates of the props that the user placed in the world (as in San Andreas (Los Santos/Blaine County/Paleto bay)).

Next time you try to join/host a job (and your connection is a bit bad), you'll see a spinning icon on the bottom right corner with the text "Downloading".

Oh and John, don't worry, I rather have bumps than duplicates, but you could also posted your quick question in the quick questions topic. ;)

Thank You so much, I fully understand now, I am just sorry that I have all these random questions which most people would not bother to ever think about hahaha, Thank You Kerimbjk, I will definitely remember to post in the quick questions section in the future haha.
