Make your own crew with custom emblem. U can make a 'marry me' sign there. Play invite only with her and mid game you switch to marry me crew..... Make sure you have emblem on your fav car (door) and roll alongside her....Or in public session but do it next to right person or you're in trouble ;-)....Also make sure she doesn't check your profile or emblem can be seen....Ok afterwards but for obvious reasons before not :-)...

I lack any kind of romantic ideas/suggestions but I think it's a lovely thought.

For everyone saying 'propose in the traditional way' why? This couple clearly enjoys gaming, what could be more special than incorporating a loved pastime into a heartfelt proposal?

 

I imagine the girl will appreciate a proposal catered to her specifically, it's thoughtful and clearly would have had a lot of effort put into it.

I really can't understand why anyone would shoot this idea down..

Perhaps a Capture job made for two and two only is the best idea. You could have some sort of objective that indicates or hints at the proposal depending on how you want to approach it. I don't think the other game modes that are available in the creator would offer the same experience, but you could perhaps do something with a race if you wanted.

 

You could even have the props in the capture spelling out the proposal for you if you would prefer to do it that way.

 

Either way, I wish you nothing but the best and depending on when you would need it, I could help with making a capture if you're using PS4.

OT: Can't really help with your proposal but I'm thinking something high up in the sky with platforms. Maybe a race? Then there's a ramp going down and ramps above hiding the ground (so while going the ramp you don't see the ground further up, just the ramp you're currently on - think of it as a tunnel going downhill). Then it opens up and it could have open and closed tunnel roof sections that give glimpses of "Will You Marry Me?".

I wouldn't let past comments bring you down about contacting R*. It would be a good PR move for them. I'd let them know about it, reaching out to their Twitter first to make it public and maybe gain supporters (make sure your girlfriend doesn't check your social media stuff or make a fake account if you need to). R* does make good maps so it's worth asking. Just be sure that the lobby doesn't crash or you get kicked out. That would suck big time. Oh, and if she says yes have like explosions go off all around and fireworks shooting through the sky.

Totally honest, I was skeptical about proposing in GTA. Like, that's a bit dumb, no? But then I remembered this couple that met on Halo and had Master Chief as their "priest" (what are those called?). It makes a lot of sense to use the game you spend hours and hours on to propose. The more I think about it, the more I get giddy at the idea! Please keep us updated! Congrats to both of you in advance! This is amazing news.

You can then come up with cool stuff to do, players all dressed up the same, fireworks etc.

 

Players can edit their car plates for longer sentences etc.

Lol if you are serious OP, then GTA is one of the worst games to do this on.

IMO you should choose a more realistic game like Second Life, SIms, Atom Universe .etc where you can dress up your character and do interactive gestures with each other if you really want to go there with it.

Not necessarily. It has happened before (Portal). So it's not unheard of. I wouldn't set my hopes too high for Rockstar to do it, but it's not impossible, and no harm at all checking things out.
