I just noted that Broughy said its a fair bit quicker than the unarmoured variant in a racing scenario...I have the standard one on primary as well as the Huntley and contender...it's nice to have quick options on my secondary

Do you actually ever get in SUV races? The only ones I've ever done were either "Home in the hills" which used to be locked to the stock Huntley, or me hosting and being quirky and picking it for no good reason. I still only have the Huntley but have a hard time justifying buying a different car in the class.

Never did any adversary modes even tho im playing Online since it releaseased on PC. Just tried deadline, expecting to be just a waste of time but made 48k in like 20 minutes with this event (2x money on deadline). I did not expect that

It's a network setting on PS4. Setting it to 800 (and below?) makes it so that players can't connect with you in-game. The PC equivalent is blocking a specific port in Windows Firewall. As far as I know, Xbox One doesn't have either so a lag switch is the only option there.

 

As for "is that something I should do?", it's subjective. If you feel like blocking player connectivity to grind crates solo is cheating, or feel like R* will start cracking down on those who do it (can R* even know you're messing with network and not, say, having actual network issues?) and don't want to risk anything - don't do it. If you want to easily grind crates solo and don't care about what others think - do it.

Gonna have to grind tomorrow, I guess. Running low on cash and I haven't even touched the game in a while. The Crew had me seriously reeled in for the past few days.

Can't be done on XBOX unfortunately. What it does is reduces the amount of data allowed? Something like that. Anyway, the lower it is, the higher the chance of finding an empty session.

Well, actually anything that uses computer/Ethernet networking--not just PS4 or PC. Should certainly be possible on the XBox One; likely just hidden from users by Microsoft...

Is that finding or self-hosting an empty session? My understanding(?) is that when seeing "player X left", it means you left the session hosted by someone else--implying your gaming machine is now self-hosting your own game, until you choose "New session" to reconnect to another (remote) session, or in time, players get connected by R* to your session?

Regarding the MTU Settings, I keep it at 600. Never get anyone joining. For xbox, I don't think there is a method in general, and I'm positive rockstar won't do anything.
