What are some of the best ways to determine when to quit the game for

I play on xbox one and previously I would pull out my phone then watch the game through the dashboard with the option to quit the game on demand (ready to go, wouldn't even have to pull out the option to quit the game, just press a and it quits the game on demand), however, with one of the new updates for xbox one, the hub and other information blocks the phone so that I can't see it.

 

I was wondering if there were any other good ways like this to determine when to quit the game to keep the pacific standard finale but let other people get the money for it. Anyone have any methods where you rely on visual cues instead of timing it now for the xbox one?
