No well .first the SA model selector for 2nd player  is no longer in my cleo files since 2018  after lack of player 2  slow sprinting animation, all i have is custom skins scripts. that requires skin.img or extended,img in the folder, its a keast 1 or 2 GB , and its gonna take forever to extract if u want i send the special skins instead.

Hello, 

 

I installed your mod and found the 2 Player symbol ingame but nothing happens when I walk into it. 

It only shows very briefly a message thats say that i am supposed to press any button on my controller in order to start 2 Player but nothing happens.

 

Why is that?

That's correct behavior, when you walk into those pickups, they ask you to press any button on the second controller, then a 2 player game will be started.

Here's 2020's update with some optimizations, bug/crash fixes and sometheing new!

Now it's 2-Player Mode Enhancements v2.0!

 

CHANGELOG:

 

FIXED:

  • The game now doesn't crash after players interact with some mission vehicles. This was caused when using this mod together with some other 2 player loaders that allow starting story mode missions.
  • Lots of code clean-ups and optimizations. Scripts operate faster and the size was decreased.
  • Completely fixed "2pl_enh" module. In some cases, after repeated 2 player modes restarts, player 2 couldn't get a marker and special options such as distance limit etc. wasn't set correctly.
  • Fixed crash if 2 player mode ends with Deathmatch mode enabled.
  • Fixed case when the game in single player mode for some reason marks random ped as player 2.
  • Fixed Deathmatch and vehicle entering modes help text box appearing incorrectly.
  • Fixed some typos and improved text in pop-up hints.
     

ADDED:

  • Added asi plugin which partly fixes the problem with engine sounds when players drive separate cars. Earlier only sound of the last obtained vehicle was heard. Thanks to @Junior_Djjr.
  • Added Russian hints locale that is compatible with Sanltd localization and properly styled.
  • Added 2pl_tcam_fix module that fixes camera mode when player 1 enters a train. Earlier when player 1 enters train the cinematic camera mode was forced, so it became almost impossible to control player 2.
  • Added an ability to repeatedly toggle Deathmatch and vehicle entering modes with gamepads, without need to unpress both buttons. Only one of the buttons needs to be unpressed now. That's more  comfortable.
     

CHANGED:

  • Player 2 now gets the same fighting style that player 1 has unlocked last. Earlier player 2 was forced to use SF style. May not work on main.scm file versions other than 1.0.
  • Modules "2pl_enh" and optional "2pl_enh_unlim" now merged into single module. Now it has the .ini file where the custom distance limit value can be set or to completely disable limit. Deleting this .ini file will force the module to use the default limit of 80.0 like it was in previous version of "2pl_enh" module.
  • Player 2's marker now hides from the mini-map when both players are in the same car. It looks more accurate.

Technically there is a way to disable distance limit at all, and this was used in another 2-player modification by skatefilter5 (http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=28129), and I actually have tested this in my mod, but anyway if the second player will move further than 300+ units from the main player - he will fall through the ground because collisions load only in 300 units range. Also it's REALLY uncomfortable with top-down camera and even if you enable focus on the second player - the game won't generate any traffic and/or peds around he, so I decided to increase default distance of 20.0 to 80.0 as this is the most suitable value for this mod.

 

Anyway, if skatefilter5 allows me to use distance hack from his mod, I will add it as optional.

to start 2 players mode i tried every button on my Xbox one controller and keyboard even both but nothing i but every files as u explain in read me file so what should i do plz help my brother i wanna play it i tried even downloading file called x360ce.exe i but it in game root and run it it created to files ini(with the same name x360ce) and xinput1_3 file in my root of the game also got nothing i tried every button on both plz advice :(

Sorry but this mod doesn't support spawning second player by pressing some button. Maybe you mean 2 Player Drop In / Drop out mod?

Thnx brother it wasn't activating 2 players mode due to some option wrong in ginput ini file i try my self and it is work prefect first time to solve something by my self thnx a lot for ur great mode i hope to improve more and update soon! :)

possible to make player 2 like a AI  tho he don't behave like other npcs, he strangely perform fights when i he comes up at the ped then he walks and punch him at the same time. he doesn't come to another npc who firing player 2.

oddly enough player 2 can signal his pose after he kill a ped. player 2 most like act like bot close to MTA's bot

Enter the 2player pickups placed here and there and press any key on your second controller.

yeah but when i reach there i spam every button but still nothing happens i tried to read the Readme i did all the steps but nothing works

This means that your second controller isn't recognized by the game. The reason is only one: you haven't properly installed GInput plugin

Edit: I just found out that this message is in the game language .gxt file, i just edit it with sagxtedit and it worked
