Is cheating the only way to get ahead?

Unless your dad is a big wig at a company or you won the lottery it's tough to get ahead in this game without cheating. It seems like finding ways to cheat is encouraged cobsidering the astronomical prices of items in this game.

Most of GTA:O's players do not.

They cheat, grief, and exploit.

It's just how things are.

Considering you can get hundreds of millions for sometimes, less than 20$, no you don't need to be living in gold.

You can do it legitimately but that would require hours upon hours of grinding, which is unappealing to most players, hence the popularity of glitched funds.

At the end of the day, you're only cheating yourself. Noone else really gives a sh*t what you own, and you don't -need- to have everything day one that it launches. It would mean more to you to make decisions about what you want, save up by (gasp) playing the game legit and buying those items, giving a sense of accomplishment and progression. It's easier to do now than ever, and I want more expensive items personally.

 

Many sh*tlords think otherwise, and that's fine for them, I wish you the best of luck.

Playing consisently and with purpose is the way to do it legit. Many have done it, and many still do.

 

Cheating is the way if you only plan on playing short term.

You can play legit, but ... I mean, the key word is "can". I've played a long, long time playing legit. It's very grindy.

 

Now let's just say - in a hypothetical situation - I got sick and tired of grinding, and disillusioned with Rockstar as a whole, then I might hypothetically dupe some cars from a faggio instead. Then I could rest easy, play for enjoyment rather than grinding instead, etc.

 

To get back to the question, you can, though you need a lot of time to spare, and it gets tiring after a while (if you're the kind that likes to buy a lot of stuff - I am).
