Does the duffel bag glitch / bug break the game

Does it break the game? Yes currently I believe...

 

Try starting the Pacific Standard Heist and if a player who is collecting the money already has selected an outfit that has a duffel bag, then when they try to collect the money their character will lock up and freeze and they can't collect the money. That is a pain in the A.

 

Also it seems there are problems with the MC sell missions where duffel bags are involved. I have seen that sometimes one member delivers a bag and then the timer keeps going waiting for the other bags to be delivered even though none of the other MC members have a bag. Also I have seen where one player delivers a bag then the mission ends and it says something like 1 out of three bags delivered. When that happens the other players didn't have bags.

 

Could that have something to do with the Glitch / Bug? I thought before it might have something to do with players exiting the clubhouse at about the same time as the sell mission is started.

 

I called it a Glitch / Bug because it seems to be more of a bug when we spawn into freemode with the bag. However the MC thing has made it more complicated now.

A fantastic example is mask + helmet glitching.

Did nothing wrong.

Did not break game.

Allowed for player to wear a mask (which does nothing but add a cosmetic to your face) and helmet (potentially blocks bullets, regardless of what else you're wearing) together.

 

Their mastermind patch for it?

Well, in the code your character is still wearing a mask + helmet.

But they made it so the mask instantly disappears when the outfit is equipped.

It's still there.

But it's invisible.

So, wouldn't it technically still be around?

If it breaks the game so badly, why don't they properly patch it?

Why does it have to be invisible if it only changes appearance and gives you no advantages over other players...?

Literally they patched the ability to make unique outfits.

 

It's a crappy excuse. There are a lot of things that have been patched which haven't done a thing to harm the game.

Things like invisible body parts and actual nudity were harmful, but wearing a garbage man or police outfit? No.

Why the hell R* remove only your duffel bag? Mine is still saved and untouched

Yeah I just checked and mine isn't disappearing. Switched outfits and sessions multiple times and I still have it.

If R actually says some apparently harmless aesthetic glitches mess up some game codes or whatever they should put out their head out of their asses and make them obtainable without the usage of glitches just like masks and helmets.

 

And no, they can't play the clipping card, there are so many clothes that clip on your character or vehicles already.

For all GTA:O is capable of and the thousands of different things we can do if R* removes a clothing glitch I don't see an issue with it. Plus I put more stock in the abilities of the people who built this game then random people bitching on GTA forums. If righting code is so easy why don't all you experts create a game better than GTA?

That argument is literally the stupidest thing I see on the internet.

You don't have to be a chef to complain about badly made food.

You don't have to be a professional game designer to complain about badly coded games.

They would rather add in a small line of code that layers helmets over masks so that they disappear when equipped together than just leave it be.

I really hope people don't think they sit there, notice people "enjoying" having a "harmless" glitch and say "hey, the players are having fun with this, lets patch it.....so they stop playing our game....so its not popular anymore......so we can lose money on shark cards....." etc or whatever people think they care about

 

if you are having fun, you play longer, keep the game relevant and are more likely to spend money on shark cards....can we use common sense and stop letting being butt hurt about it cloud ur judgement...

This works as a metaphor for me, my gas mask will never leave but yeah, they never patched it properly, I still had it on my oufits, I could sit there constantly equipping the outfit and my mask would flash in and out of sight.

the best advice I can give to people is when you find a cool clothing glitch, enjoy it while it lasts, take snaps etc but just remember that it could be taken away at any random time....

ONE glitch being patched will not make the game run smoothly, nice try, but attempting to patch them all will....so for now it is one step closer to running perfect...

 

and oh my game started running a whole lot more smooth once my bag was taken away....

from what i see , the performance seems depend if other player naturally having horrible connection or if they actually uses a lagswitch . i can't even feel performance difference between wearing " unique outfit " or normal ones

as for " unknown network error " , this only happens if said public lobby contains a player who was laggy , so it never happens to me if i connect public session via " MTU " method though

It's literally just a bag, it's as much of an accessory as glasses and hats are, saying that a simple clothing item is such a big deal to fix is rather absurd.

 

Just imagine if this happens with our boots instead, if Rockstar says they're buggy because one of them is not supposed to be on sale, and rather than keeping the boot in because it does nothing harmful to the game, they temporarily disable/blacklist every shoe in the stores and you have to go bare foot around the map.

Your analogy couldn't be more wrong because if you go to a restaurant and they over cook your steak it's not going to affect the side dishes but with game coding it can and does.

 

Just because you can complain about something doesn't mean you have any clue as to what you are actually complaining about.

 

Personally I highly doubt there are programmers at R* who get paid to change code just to upset and f*ck with people because by changing the code they then open up the possibility of breaking something else so it's pretty safe to assume there is a reason for them fixing the glitches you are complaining about but instead of looking at the situation logically you would rather throw a tantrum like a two year old.
