....But i have no interest in keeping the money or risking a ban or it getting mixed up with my legit money, should i report this to rockstar, or would they ban me on sight if i did ?

 

Really, i cant really help it if a rain of money suitcases is following me were ever i go in a session untill i got the reflex and quit session....which of course saved all money confirmed on my secondary character.

 

also, how do i best report it if reporting is a good option ?

Best bet is to just keep playing as if nothing happened. Most of the bans are handled automatically by the system, so if you haven't been banned yet, you may not be at all.

If you can stomach making a support ticket, you can try that. Of course you'll probably be asked to submit a report through the game instead.

In either case you'd need an idea of the user that griefed you - if not a username, at least a time and date that it occurred.

In my limited experience (all I had done to me was ejection from my car, exploded, and all of my weapons removed), if you didn't submit a report from the game at the time of the event, you might be out of luck. But if you flag the matter up to Rockstar, you'd at least have honesty on your side if you receive a ban, and therefore some solid foundations to appeal the case.

With the new (and completely faulty, and stupid) algorithm they're running, it will ban you immediately if it flags your account. You should be good. This is why lately, if I even get a hint that someone in my session might be modding I just leave immediately. It's not worth it, especially with their no overturns policy and R*'s incredulous lack of any actual support.

I don't think you'll get very far with Rockstar Support, honestly. I've sent them Screenshots and videos of people modding and was basically told to just use the In-Game report feature instead.

 

But, if you do actually get an answer, wouldn't hurt to share here for future reference. Might help someone.

so yea, i gave them my steam account and social club account and besides that pretty much gave them everything they asked for....here is praying they just delete the money i asked to delete and i afterwards can get a confirmation i am in the clear.

Glad to hear you got an actual response and that they are seemingly understanding of it. I really wish they'd do something about the modders running rampant. It's getting worse and worse it seems each year. And so many people in sessions these days still asking for money drops, like complete idiots.

It's especially bad on PC, where modding is very easy with mod menus. And he wants to give it back because they've been banning people who have modded money in their account, whether they spawned it or not...

Trust me, as soon as i am sure that rockstar actually went and totally does not sell cash cards anymore and stops the updates and support and such, people can give me any modded stuff they want, but currently, i do not want to risk my rank 791 with all his legit earnings to be busted for a mere million.

 

update: they now requested me to reply directly to their responses by email, which i just did....so it is still processing.

 

now i am pretty much waiting for their response again

 

EDIT: and like expected, the money is not removed and i am still not banned or anything.

Just let me clear that for you up, you will never got banned for receiving Money or other Goodies. The only ones who get banned are the ones who initiated the moneydrop (unsafe methods).

These days their policy is goddamn vague in that regard though at the moment

...in fact it has happened before people were in fact banned by an automatic system.

If this were to happen to me like....now....i have evidence that i did what i could to get rid of it and i am in no way associating with that kind of bullsh*t...and after the automated system detects me, resets me, i would then be able to make a good case out of it and if all goes well i will need to wait about a week before i get 2 characters rank 135 back and what i hope will be 360 mil since that is what i earned in this game.

 

Really, though i play less these days, it is really worth all this hassle if one asks me, especially considering i once bought a 1 mil shark card to.

This is not particularly true in every case. Recently I have heard of a couple of guys getting banned for having modded money dropped on them, and another one for doing the Pac Standard glitch at a low level. Apparently being a low level and getting a lot of money in a short amount of time throws up a red flag.

Well, i got all the money removed that i wanted to have removed and nothing more, so i guess this has been solved.

 

Guess i can finally play peacefully again....have not really used any of my characters in the past days so....time to play
