Heists(especially PSJ) is god-like money maker, recently even with randoms.

I think it's a badly expressed post, that's all.

Saying you've been playing for three years means diddly-squat, actually. You could have logged-in in October 2013, and played once or twice a month, and that's it.

Or you could be playing every single day and just be completely useless at video games.

I kind of see where you're coming from OP - you can't just log in and press a few buttons and make hundreds of thousands - you have to really work at the game, and even glitching is really hard these days, or buy shark cards - those are your options.

I dunno... you obviously haven't found the right money-making balance.

"There is no way to make money fast"

Yes, you are right. That's the whole point. That's the game. Players aren't supposed to own everything. They aren't supposed to make enough for an X80 in a day. Money is easy enough to make but it's very time consuming. Deal with it or buy a sharkcard or cheat, those are your options. Supers aren't supposed to be so common.

I was able to make enough to buy 5 10 car garages, 50 vehicles, hydra, all guns with Max ammo, Aquarius yacht (on discount), buzzard, tank and a few other things like clothes office and a couple of wearhouses legit. How? Well It took me longer then a week. I put in over 60+ days in game. working most of the time in game, not standing around. That's it, just by putting the time in never selling PV for money, making "smart" purchases.

Now I've put in more time then that and own more stuff but that's what I earned legit and how long it took me.

Edit: I also don't think this post was delivered very well. "I've been playing for 3 years and I still can't find a decent way to make money, and before you tell me to play [insert most profitable activities here] I'm going to tell you to shut up" - OP

I'm surprised this wasn't locked a long time ago. The topic is valid in my opinion but the OP approached it terribly.

Not easy to make money? It's because it's so easy that the prices for in game stuff are as stupid as they are now. 2 million dollar motorcycles, 6 million dollar cars (if rumors are true). He'll, it's 200k for a GD glowing racing suit for kites sake.

In 2013 I looked in awe at people who drove Adders. Who could justify dropping 1 million dollars on a car? People with money to burn, thats who.

I actually remember dragging my wife out of bed to show her my mid level apartment with 6 car garage which I fretted over buying because it took so much of my hard earned cash to buy it.

It took weeks to scrape up 100k.

The Zentorno came out and at 750k I had to grind for 2 weeks to buy it.

If you're smart and avoid free roam (huge money sponge) you can pull in 250k in 90 minutes these days without even trying. More if you have a good crew or some trustworthy friends.

Look at it this way. If the Zentorno came out today it would be 3x as expensive as it is now. And the only reason for that is because of just how easy it is to make money in this game.

This is because how GTA works today: as a F2P game.

Yeah, that's right. WE f*ckING BOUGHT THIS GAME. And if you are playing on new gen, like the majority here, THEN YOU PAID TWICE.

That doesn't matter... Some people here still insists that all DLCs are "FREE"...

But, that is the reality. Rockstar saw an opportunity to transform GTAO into a MMO. So, you can play this game in 3 ways:

1 - Play with your friends. Everything is WAY MORE EASIER with your friends. And, sadly, this is how gtao is designed, so...

2 - If you are going to play alone, put this on your head. YOU CAN'T MAKE MORE THAN 200K per hour (not with "normal" work). You can make 150k per hour, that's for sure.

So, stop grind the game and go do another thing. I don't man...roleplay this sh*t. Playing GTAO alone is like playing Dark Souls. When i notice how DK works, i start to create archer / viking / mage / anythingfantasy builds. This was the only way to not get bored with the game. Do the same with GTAO. Get one lowrider, put your stylished clothes, your pink/chrome Uzi and play some Gerald/Lamar missions. Or some tactical gear to help uncle Lester.

Seriously, real talk. You can follow all the grinding guides that exists, but you will get bored as f*ck. So, stop grinding the game and do what is FUN to you. If you cant handle the AI accuracy on Hard (no one can, f*ck GTA AI) do the missions on normal, the money will come anyway.

3 - If you don't have friends and don't have the time/patience, glitches and exploits are the only way... (again, like dark souls; If you are a hacker/glitcher, then you are nothing more than a useless hollow)

I don't wanna be that guy that thinks he always right, nononono. But this is how i still can play GTA.

Really, from the bottom of my heart, please, don't get youself stressed as hell because of a game.

Put a challenge to yourself. Do missions with pistol only. Go race with pantos or stratums.

Don't aim for a huge ammount of money for today. We have one (or 2) weeks before the update. We have a plenty of time...

holy shoot this post turned into a wall! if you read all the way to here, then you have my gratitude and my thanks.

r* wont change the AI, neither they will change how you can get money. so stop the grind and do it for the fun. THE MONEY WILL COME! :)

If you can stand the grind you can make about *140k solo an hour in invite only doing Sightseer, Trash Talk, then Headhunter. Then just do Sightseer again as for some reason there's no delay after completing Headhunter. Obviously you need the buzzard to earn money fast.

*may have been more but not sure. Haven't played for weeks. I think I made between 160-180k in a little over an hour once.

I do CEO work solo in invite-only and can rake in around $200000 per hour using the Sightseer/Headhunter method if I don't screw around. That's faster than anything else in the game that I've tried. For whatever reason, those two CEO jobs don't affect each other's cooldown timers, so after you've done one of each, it's more or less a free for all, especially if you own a Buzzard. So no, I won't shut up. Patience is a virtue, and I've played worse grindfests in my time.

Although, granted, the fact that there are cooldown timers in the game at all is kind of bullsh*t, but you make do with what you've got. I'm sitting at $11m with six high end properties, office. Clubhouse and a huge fleet of vehicles. All that's left to do is make money how I see fit as I don't really need anything else. That's the key, but what you need and no more, the cash will come.

Crates solo gets 300k per hour, you should invest in two large warehouses when possible.

What I've learned is you need to make money AND have fun. I've been bored out of my tits some evenings, just logging in and grinding cash, and other evenings having fun but feeling frustrated at not meeting my money-making goals.

Some of my friends are 'done' with GTA online, but that's because they approach the game the wrong way. The fail to combine making money AND having fun at the same time.

You can achieve both just by playing the game and getting good at it.

Out of boredom I made a new account on Saturday. Didn't really start making money until Sunday though.

I played missions, stunt races and one Fleeca heist. I'm level 75 with all stats full except lung and stamina. I've bought an office, clubhouse, apartment with a ten car garage, and the Kuruma heist apartment. I also bought the Buzzard, have a fully modded Kuruma, Sultan and Bati. Finished all my fifty race wins too.

Very easy to make money. This was so much easier than it was three years ago.

Duly noted, however I play primarily on PC, so it requires screwing around with my firewall again :p

There's plenty of ways to make money. But almost every method comes with a downside of sorts.

-CEO crates. Requires a rather large investment (for those who weren't already rich to begin with) to start AND costs money whenever you try to acquire more stock.

-Biker businesses. Also costly to start but can at least be resupplied for free.

Those two things and VIP work all have the major downside of requiring you to play in a public session which means that you always risk losing a lot of your would-be reward or all of it, including a possible investment before that.

Then there's contact missions, heists and other jobs. But if you're doing those on your own, you have stupid teammates to deal with. Or you can solo missions but that might be a tad boring.

Guess the best way to support money makers is for them to have friends. If you have those in GTA:O, you can do anything with significantly lower risks and better rewards.

Ofcourse there's also glitches, but it seems like those often require friends as well and messing about with stuff. Not sure if it's as dangerous as modding which apparently leads to bans being given out.

  1. What the problem is that how to keep money as new player you want all. You see a nice car in the street and uppgrade it for a half milion! You constantly want it all! When you done whit want it all you be making money! Dont buy explosiv dont buy car uppgrades only bulletproff tiers!

Depends what you define as fast, if I could make as much money in a day as she does in real life, I doubt I'd complain (The bullets could be an issue though)

My method for making money is simple, forget trying to do it. Start a random contact mission (with friends if possible), stick some music or group chat on, then just stay on the tiles picking missions. Amazing how soon you look and have $150,000 in cash. It may not be the most $ per minute, but it's a lot more fun.

I think that's another way of saying lower your expectations and you'll be fine?

GTA online is a humongous game with massive content, and you're not going to get it all in a week, so take your time and enjoy it. That's much better.

Money saving tip #3947

Never buy and use explosives or armor during contact missions. Unless the explosives are from a pegasus vehicle, then blast away.

Pressure Drop

I need to resurrect this thread, because I am confused.

Some people say that VIP work is the fast way to make money. I don't understand? Since the update I have joined several random organisations and helped them with several vehicle pickups, just to get a feel for the new stuff (too poor atm to buy warehouses) I even did a couple of missions for selling the cars with 2-3 other randoms, which said the cash would be around 300,000 $ I think I received about 10k for the mission....

After around 2 hours work I make around 30 - 40k. This is a truly pathetic amount of money for the time invested. I could play the Los Santos Connection or Titan of a Job alone for 2 hours, and make about 300,000.

Please can someone explain? why is it worth joining a CEO to help them with their missions when you get paid practically nothing? Is there something I'm missing here?

The only way I can see of making money with CEO, is doing the Sightseer / executive search missions over and over, and I don't even think the money would be too good for that? Last time I played it was double cash I think for VIP work, which brought in about 50k for everyone. Well worth it, but I assume you will get about 25k for them now?

Please help explain what I am missing here, else I will have to return to doing contact missions !

It all depends on what your boss is doing. If they time it right they can do 2 missions back to back and a challenge, occasionally I'll run a 3 crate buy.

That's usally how I run it.

Headhunter for a quick +20k (takes 2-3min)

Then most wanted, worth noting that there is no player interference during, can be great if pinned in bad spot. (+20k for winners, takes 10min run it with org in Kuruma +rp for everyone on top of winning)

Then executive search/piracy prevention 25-30k (takes 10mins)

Repeat, maybe make some delivers inbetween and switch challenge to point 2 point for the quickest +10k you will make. I let my guys win and sometimes share my winnings to give them more incentive to help with moving products when the time comes.

Not sure about MC or the car business, my experience is mostly with CEO and that's how I've ran my business. It might not be the most efficient way like solo crates in an empty lobby might be but it seems the most fair and fun for everyone. I've tried to run solo crates but got bored very quickly, I like playing with others.

I may not be the most successful but that's how I run my jobs. Occasionally I'll switch up the jobs just so I'm not running the same sh*t over and over RR style. Seems to keep me the most entertained this way and the money and lack of clouds is good enough for me.

Edit: not to mention the small pay every so often the game gives you for being an associate, it's not much but add that to the pay from successful jobs and it's not terrible.

VIP missions are the other free roam activities that a VIP or CEO can start from their work menu, might be confusing at first since collecting cars or crates is also done in free roam missions.

I agree completely with this as I too. have never bought a shark card, and have player for 3 years now. I think the issue it primarily down to the company that Rockstar is. They car 20% about the community, and 80% about the money they earn. They release things that are so hysterically overpriced for the primary reason, that people will go, "I want that, and I cannot afford that, therefore, I will buy a shark card." Then R* makes a profit. They are a company, possibly one of the greediest I have come across, but unfortunately, nothing will change. Unless of course, a large percentage of the community has an outrage, yet even then, people will still play the game, and still buy the cards that Rockstar offers. Think about it. If things were so cheap, people would get bored of them and stop playing the game altogether.

No way to fix this unfortunately. We just have to suffer in silence.

the 300k is probably what the CEO will get before the money getting split for all the players.

but if you are CEO in a solo lobby you can sell 1 top tier car for 80k profit with no stress every 16 minutes, and do a sightseer mission in between if you want.

its easy to make money and we are getting different ways of doing it so we dont get bored of doing the same old mission hour after hour

RetardOfTheYear

Depend what you have in mind when talking money, like BIG BUCKS, major money making schemes sure seems only 'reserved' to cheaters/glitchers, but steady decent amount of cash can be made in many ways, including completly solo. The only legit BIG MONEY gain I can think of, are criminal mastermind with the 10 Mil bonuse (plus the money you get in the heists so about 11 Mil I guess, give or take 200k but that really doesn't count since it's only a one time achievment I agree.

You cannot blame R* for taking advantage of the impatient, greedy, needy, entitled, gamer base that exists today. Blame the people who have gotten so extremely stupid with attention spans less than that of a hummingbird. All in desperate need of instant gratification, bragging rights, ego stroking and a sense of belonging in their incredibly lonely, uneventful, lives.
